- Sometimes it can be really hard to like Magic, but here are some steps I've taken that have made it easier for me to love Magic: The Gathering again.

This is probably your BEST video! Your thoughts and decisions are exactly what I have been doing for the last 5+ years.
Thank you very much I really appreciate it.
That thing about doing other things with your play group is so real! My commander group does stuff like going to the beach, BBQs, watching movies, etc.
I love limited! And while cube is awesome too. I’ve come to realize I love random chaos, janky stuff and surprises!
It started with me buying a collection starter box with a bulk lot of 1000 cards and turning them into booster packs.
Now the greater majority of my collection has turned into repacks for chaos draft and it feels good being able to pull a random stack from the shelf for a night of madness.
Still experimenting with 15 cards (pick one and pass) and 20 cards (pick two and pass). But I did keep rarities is mind, meaning 1 rare, 3 uncommons, and 10 commons at least, plus one additional random card.
It’s been my favorite way to play for months now, and the left overs from the last couple prerelease events have also made their way into the pile of chaos.
Great video! I've got a couple of things that deepened my love for Magic recently. For one, I started playing Pauper (I usually play EDH). It's such a fun format, super accessible, and overall so different from Commander. It really helped keep my experience fresh. I also got more into gifting cards to other people and thinking about what I have that would be good in their decks. It feels good to gift, but it also makes it feel better if they somehow beat me with that same card later.
Great videos as always! Great advice!
Love Magic… love you my man!
I only play cube drafts, 60 card Pauper, and Pauper Commander. Pauper formats let me ignore most of the cards released. The cards are simpler and generally cheap.
I actually quit playing Magic back in 2010 cause it just got too expensive for me. In 2014, I went to Ireland for a holiday with my parents, and we stumbled upon a game shop there, so I decided I'll give it another try. And thanks to all the people there being so friendly, I actually got back into Magic. Unfortunately, I am staying in South Africa, so we don't really have a lot of game shops where we can play MTG, so I ended up playing mostly Arena. I did however found a couple of people in my area who play MTG, so every once in a while, we get together and play a proper game of Magic.
Thanks for this video. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are starting to "lose interest" in the game, and I really think video will help them find a way back to Magic.
ngl #1 sounds like the sort of thing someone who lost a team draft would say
I mostly play Cube, Pauper and table top 60 card and commander. My group generally ignore some of the new sets. I usually check out some cards from the new set for my Cube just to keep it somewhat fresh. But even then I probably only spend less than $30-$50 per set.
I also really like the social aspect of Magic as well. i made most of my friends through Magic but now we play more board games and watch sports and such more so than play Magic even if we do get together once a month for a Cube or on game night we break out a game of commander.
How I fell in love with magic was not play commander . I got into cube draft. Best time I’ve ever had playing magic. Fast paced 1v1 games. 40 card decks. 20 life.
The camera cuts take away from your video, especially the side profile angle
