Danny mentioned that the elephants were no longer on the train. Little did we know that the elephants were the glue that held the circus together. Soon the crowds dwindled and the circus disbanded. I am glad that Danny has gotten valuable footage of the wonders of the circus train, a special place for us that watch the railroad.
Always so cool to revisit those days of yore when the RBBB circus train crisscrossed the railroads of America. We thought it would never end, but it did! In retrospect the show never could have survived 2 years downtime from the pandemic. I never got to see the train in its prime, but I managed to catch the last run-a mix of red & blue cars heading south and passing into history following the final show on Long Island. 😢
Unless I retire and get lots of free time I never see me catching the circus train. At least I can enjoy it through your lens, great job as always Danny!
Well, Danny...you have another winning video. The detail, sound and the picture quality continue to amaze your fans. Add to that your inspiring narration. Thank you for the circus train video and the ''added attractions''. God bless...
I just sent another show to the network and had a chance to sit back and relax and enjoy this one, Danny. Thanks to you and Liz for the chase footage up state road 39. It was always a favorite. It was great to see the Dade City depot as well. Being that I'm back in Burbank there has not been much time to fan and shoot back in the bay area so this is a tonic. The only thing I'm working on now is the Emma Nevada restoration at OERM on the weekends I don't go home. Keep making the good ones my friend. It's wonderful to ride along and hit some of my old Florida haunts while Im stuck working here at the studio.
Awesome catch of the Circus train. it's a shame that the Elephants are gone. with out them it's not the same. but still it is cool to see the Circus train.
"Lead-foot Lucy" here - great chase and pace driving, Lizz! Fun vid and excellent narration. We've chased the Red Circus Train out here in Arizona and still get a kick out of it. . . . Diana
Excellent video!! Love the circus train, its too bad they no longer run with the elephants though. Andrew is the man, he's helped me quite a few times on Facebook when I had questions about different trains.
Great quotes about the slowpoke convention and the 2 circus folks making out! Any thought of making videos in other parts of the country, the Midwest or Northeast for example?
lol the making out comment had me DYING LOL. Great chase and it is VERY RARE to see such power like THAT on Q453. I wonder why those crossing signals still stand at Wildwood? no track is there anymore... like always DH, Great Video! hope you enjoyed your Independence Day!
If you ever need someone to edit your videos for CSX accuracy let me know. Yours are, by far, better than most In your area. I have 17 plus years on CSX and 13 plus years on the Jax division out of Tampa as a conductor and engineer.
Thanks! if you'll send me a private message with your email address, I would love to have another pair of eye look at these videos before I publish them.
Have you caught the northbound tropicana train in Folkston GA long ago? What day is the trop train Q740? In my hometown Jacksonville it becomes Q140 intermodal/tropicana. If you've caught that train in the past tell me what time it was. Or if the trop train hits Jacksonville. The trout river crossing is right behind my neighborhood.
The loaded Tropicana train runs as Q740 on Tuesday and Wednesday and as L740 on Sunday. It runs as Q742 on Monday and as L742 on Saturday. All run to Greenville, NJ except for L742. L742 is now profiled to terminate at Jacksonville. The empty juice train is Q741 and runs from Jacksonville to Tampa on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
So the SD40-3 rebuilds with square cabs are growing on you. Where I live we have dubbed them Sponge Bobs, to include the GP40-3 square cabs. Just to humor ourselves.
Love the vids I'm a super huge fan of trains and your vids are just what I love to watch and add your voice and commentating it just makes it super awesome to watch, makes me wish you could upload more often 😔
Lovely work as usual Danny! I wonder if the young couple used all the water in the shower?? 50 mph making out in a vestibule.....sounds like the voice of experience to me..LOL. Cheers from down under Danny & Liz. Gregg .
I only seen the circus train one time when it was in Atlanta, Ga and I seen it one time coming into Cartersville Ga. What ever happen to the circus train? 1/21/2019 today is my birthday I made it to 73.
I suspect they were bigging you up because train/circus folks know they can always count on railfans for help when somethibg breaks (if they're around) And you don't live on the railway without problems.
Say what you want, believe what you wish, there really are some babes on the circus trains and they are always looking for a date. After all they are only in town for 1-3 nights and then gone. Don't get interested so much you fall in love, but they are some really nice babes

"Yes, we love you too circus people."
I don't know why that made me burst out laughing!
Great info, looks like a fun day of chasing. Liz is an excellent driver!
Unless I retire and get lots of free time I never see me catching the circus train. At least I can enjoy it through your lens, great job as always Danny!
Thanks! You're in the same boat as I am. Too busy working to do these long train outings. Hopefully in a few more years....
That horn on that sd40-3 is godly.
As always! Very enjoyable!! Thanks for sharing!!!! Look forward to your circus train chase all the time!
Another masterfully done video, Danny. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us. :-)
Well, Danny...you have another winning video. The detail, sound and the picture quality continue to amaze your fans. Add to that your inspiring narration. Thank you for the circus train video and the ''added attractions''. God bless...
Many many thanks, Jerry. Hope you had a good holiday weekend.
Another fantastic narration, and some awesome catches!!
Love the shot of the SD40-3 with that freight train.

Thanks very much, Ken. Your sentiments are much appreciated. Yes, we had a lot of fun on this one. Keep well. Thanks again!
Always a pleasure seeing your videos! Keep them coming please!
That 60 frames per second is amazing! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Yes, I see a lot of folks shooting 30 frames, but I think 59.94 gives a better smoothness.
Got to love it when your wife will give it hell trying to get ahead of a train, that's dedication.
I have the circus train on my bucket list (among other things!). Great video documenting the circus train in central Florida.
Awesome catch of the Circus train. it's a shame that the Elephants are gone. with out them it's not the same. but still it is cool to see the Circus train.
thank you for showing this Danny it is awesome. keep those awesome video's coming.
"Lead-foot Lucy" here - great chase and pace driving, Lizz! Fun vid and excellent narration. We've chased the Red Circus Train out here in Arizona and still get a kick out of it. . . . Diana
Thanks! I'll bet it's easier out there than here in Florida. Slow pokes and traffic lights everywhere here.
Excellent video!! Love the circus train, its too bad they no longer run with the elephants though. Andrew is the man, he's helped me quite a few times on Facebook when I had questions about different trains.
Yeah, Andrew is the man, alright. No matter what my train operation question, he always has an answer.
Great video as always, Danny!
Danny, you did it again, loved the video
I love the opening shot. Plenty of horn and nothing in sight -- yet. Makes me want to run to get closer.
Hey Danny! I caught the circus train just a few days ago here in Arizona. Nice catch!
Thanks! I subbed you, too!
Another great video Danny! Always love any of your videos featuring the Ringling Train!
awesome! Danny he always comes in at night here in Charleston, that's the only bummer, but I still go and see it on the Navy base
Very well put together!
Awesome video! I would like to see the circus train sometime.
Great quotes about the slowpoke convention and the 2 circus folks making out! Any thought of making videos in other parts of the country, the Midwest or Northeast for example?
Thanks very much.
Yes, I hope to shoot some video on a trip to the DC and mid-Atlantic area this Fall.
Very well done as always Mr. Harmon!
Funny, I saw that very Q213 pull into Taft that night as I was working
Thanks!
Excellent video, Danny!
Thanks Tolga! Hope you're having a good summer.
How've you been?
Great catches all around.
lol the making out comment had me DYING LOL. Great chase and it is VERY RARE to see such power like THAT on Q453. I wonder why those crossing signals still stand at Wildwood? no track is there anymore...
like always DH, Great Video! hope you enjoyed your Independence Day!
I feel like the bone valley power on 453 made me think it was 613 for some reason. It’s nice to see these EMD shows.
Awesome vid Danny! I tried to catch the blue RBBB in Dayton,TX not too long ago but it went by too late at night :(
Hi Danny exelente video thanks for sharing this. I never seen the circus train
As usual Danny, another superb video!

Another quality video!

If you've caught that train in the past tell me what time it was. Or if the trop train hits Jacksonville. The trout river crossing is right behind my neighborhood.
Yes, I did a 45 minute video on the Tropicana train back in 1998. I rode it from Tampa to Baldwin.
+Andrew Stephenson what time have you caught these trains in JAX or Folkson?
+Pinchie08 The northbound juice train usually runs through Folkston around 9pm.
So the SD40-3 rebuilds with square cabs are growing on you. Where I live we have dubbed them Sponge Bobs, to include the GP40-3 square cabs. Just to humor ourselves.
Spongebobs? Named after the tv show? Cool!
failed to catch the circus train in Tallahassee.
did see that Ghislain caught a windmill train near live oak on the Tally sub.
Love the vids I'm a super huge fan of trains and your vids are just what I love to watch and add your voice and commentating it just makes it super awesome to watch, makes me wish you could upload more often 😔
Many thanks. I'm very glad you enjoy our work.
If you don’t like the weather in Florida, just wait 15 minutes.
Fellow native Floridian endorses this statement 😂😂

Slogofan s that is an EMD MP15DC switcher originally built in 1975 for the L&N then it became part of the Seaboard then eventually CSX
I would give anything to catch the circus train
great video too bad we won't see that again now that the circus has rolled up it's tent for good
Lovely work as usual Danny! I wonder if the young couple used all the water in the shower?? 50 mph making out in a vestibule.....sounds like the voice of experience to me..LOL.
Cheers from down under Danny & Liz.

Have to HIRE LIZ out to drive so I can catch Trains up here in the Chicago Area...Nah, the weather wouldn't be her thing this time of the year! :)
How big was Q-652 on this day?
I only seen the circus train one time when it was in Atlanta, Ga and I seen it one time coming into Cartersville Ga. What ever happen to the circus train? 1/21/2019 today is my birthday I made it to 73.
7:42 everything is emd!
8:53 CSX version of UP BIG BOY 4014
A lot of banging when they go over the diamond.
Yeah. That's what diamonds do. Break the railhead on all four rails.
Q213 CSX dash 40-3 Autorucks train BALDWIN,FL to TAFT, FL
CSX internmodal train Q-170 Winter Haven FL to Duval Ramp FL
danny you're still the best
Very cool!
What Camera do you use?
I use a Sony CX-900
Q453 CSX mix fright train Waycross,Ga to Miami,FL
That's because that engine was 8888 known as the runaway train
No more of this unfortunately.
I suspect they were bigging you up because train/circus folks know they can always count on railfans for help when somethibg breaks (if they're around) And you don't live on the railway without problems.
Sad thing is, there are no more circus trains since the RBB&B circus went out of business. Sniiiiifffffffffffff fffffffffffff
CSX P921 PALMETTO,Fl to FRESNO CA 8-40 CW train
Danny, thanks for another awesome video! You should check out my son's youtube channel, he loves railfanning as well!
Say what you want, believe what you wish, there really are some babes on the circus trains and they are always looking for a date. After all they are only in town for 1-3 nights and then gone. Don't get interested so much you fall in love, but they are some really nice babes
G
Great video as always Danny!
Thanks Tommy. Much appreciated.
