The shavings are not that bad to deal with when not using the cover. The only reason I know is the cover does not work when trimming 300 BO. They are too short. Everything else I am able to use the cover on. If you buy this trimmer you will LOVE it. I have had the Giraud for a long time now which is a good trimmer but this one is better. It puts a more precise bevel on the case. The Giraud did not leave as concentric of a bevel on the inside of the case. I use the collet that came with the Giraud and not a custom one made from a reamer. This can be seen on initial seating pressures with the AMP Press. I am also getting very repeatable trim lengths with this (less than + or - .001"). They have also redesigned the motor to a single speed motor that is very a sleek compact design. Very Smooth.
What is the plate that ur scale is sitting on and what is the purpose of it? Does it help for anything? Just curiously my fx120i scale and v4 will be here tuesday

The shaving containment parts should have been part of the trimmer considering how expensive it is.. I do really want a Henderson.

I got to get some t-handle Allen wrenches. Also one of them trimmers would be pretty neat.
Yeah those T-handles are Harbor Freight specials but they get the job done.
The Bondhus sets are awesome and not too expensive. They fit better than the cheaper ones

That's a scrap piece of granite I got from a local counter install company to help give it a more stable foundation.. I honestly don't use it anymore.
