Hey mate two rocks beach is a good place to see them 8:30/9 there all over the place. seen them 2 2 nights ago 🤘😁
Nice! That would have been spinigerus or one of the other southern strophs though yeah? I don’t believe aberrans come down that far south in WA.
Love the #KampKenan T-Shirt! 🙌🏼
Thanks! Love his work!
One of your best clips yet , fantastic informative and interesting, the geckos looks incredible also... 🤙
Thanks mate! Spent some serious time on this one. Editing took forever!
Stunning mate! Great to see some arid habitats getting the same treatment as the typical rainforest set ups we always see! Going to use that exterior black vinyl trick on some of my tanks for sure
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video and it gave you some
Ideas :)
Wicked enclosure mate! Love the vids, keep it up!
Thanks for the support mate!
@@BeachesScalyBeasts My pleasure mate! Thanks for the knowledge and inspiration to get some enclosures set up. I'll have to send you a few pics of some enclosures i've done/am doing.
That enclosure is amazing! Well done!
Thanks mate! And thanks so much for becoming a Patron!
Best video yet luke, keep it up
Thanks Elderi!
Great build brother! That foam carving tool is so satisfying. Hope the setup does well :)
Thanks mate! Yeah me too. Time will tell. Already onto the next one!
More than you can imagine. Than is comparative. Then means this happened after. Doesn't really matter but wanted to bring it up for future reference.
Absolute awesome build man. In person it looks just as good. Should be happy with that one. Glad I could help you along the way.
Thanks for all your help mate.
Awesome build! Has given me a few ideas for upgrading my aberrans enclosure. I also got my pair from Rick, as well as a pair of box patterned geckos, such a great guy, he really helped sharing knowledge when I was first getting into geckos.
Awesome 😎 he’s worth his weight in gold!
Amazing work! Beautiful enclosure and beautiful geckos
Thank you :) glad you enjoyed.
awesome mate looks wicked, not many people do these type of bio actives
wow🤩 looks sick mate, neat little terrarium you got there. Beet your geckos will love it 🦎👍🏼 🤟🏼
Thanks!
So good
Love these geckos! Im obsessed with australian reptiles hence the name so i think these will be on my list of possible reptiles to start breeding here in the states.
Very cool mate
Thanks mate!
I got my strophs from Rick too - can't go past him for healthy, awesome gecks
Sure can’t! He’s an awesome guy to boot as well.
Ive been thinking about getting some of these guys just recently so this video could not have came at a better time. 10/10 the only thing i would have done differently is just putting the springtails directly into that drainage pipe or into the soil.
Glad you enjoyed the video mate!
Great job, looks amazing. How did it hold up? How did the plants do?
How did the microfauna fare?
@@LukeMcGuireoides microfauna did well but the plants didn’t do well long term. I think I actually over watered them in the end.
Beautiful enclosure, I’m currently in the process of building one for the same species although I’m using a 45x45x90 exo terra, don’t suppose you know of a good source of info for native flora as want to make it as natural as possible, I’m in the UK so will need to try and source plants
Thanks mate. I don’t unfortunately have any source material for you.
@@BeachesScalyBeasts that’s ok mate, no worries bud thanks anyway
Did you spot that roach ceuising around you in the vid?
Hahaha! Yeah I did! Had a giggle to myself about it. I was wondering if anyone would say something haha
Did you spot any other Spiny Tails whilst cruising?
I didn’t spot any unfortunately. But was great to be in their habitat.
Been looking at getting some strophs or velvet geckos. Do you recommend using a heat light on them?
If other sources of heat are inadequate then yeah I would use a heat lamp on a thermostat. In this circumstance all these lights on this enclosure create a nice warmth up high and cooler temps down low.
Thanks mate
Would you need to seal off the background or is the materials safe for reptiles?
All safe given enough time to properly cure and air out.
Thank you so much. I am preparing to get some South-Western Spiny tails and have been binge watching your channel xx@@BeachesScalyBeasts
@@adrianaveth7235 ah nice! Great geckos! If you’re worried at all give it a good week or two to cure after the last coat of pointing. You can also give it a rinse afterwards too. This is the method I used for my frog as I was concerned.
Must resist urge to thumbs down just cos this happens to be my very first video and before it even starts there's a plee to me to donate. Deep breaths ur probably only annoyed cos Australia is waaaay better at cricket than Aoteroa. 😅
Phew i held off and its good. Therfore maintaining the no thumbs down purity. Good vid cuz.
@@aviendha1154 I appreciate you not giving it a thumbs down :) I hope you enjoyed the rest of the video.
