    How many geckos can be in the same tank? Males or females? Male and female ratio, temperatures all that stuff.

    • @3012ftp
      @3012ftp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have them anymore but they are pretty social and even several males can work. They can be kept in lager groups. Temperatures should be under the basking spot about 35°C and ambiant temperatures about 26°C :)

      @@3012ftp thank you for such a quick responce! I read somewhere that for breeding 3 females and 3 males would be good in a 60cm long. Is that true? Or could I even keep more breeding pairs?

    • @3012ftp
      @3012ftp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ennat6251 i personally think it's better to keep more females than males if you have the chance. Because even if they're social males could not get along. I would not keep too many geckos to begin with because they will reproduce so it's better to start with only a few geckos

    The weird thing is. Is that some people use soil and but wood and stuff like spring tails and isopods other use sand . I want to get one but I wanna make it a bioactive self maintaing terrarium so I don’t have to do as much work but I don’t know how to do that for a desert terrarium.

      GECKOS how many times do you gotta clean yours. And I’m sorry for asking a lot of questions but I can’t really find info on these guys. And if I do get one I wanna build a habitat where everything works together. Do you know any insects or something like a clean up crew I could put in the Vivarium with the monitor make it like a bioactive Vivarium like they do with other lizards or is that not possible with the monitor.

      Any craft paint/ acrylic type is safe and cheap at the dollar stores. They need to be sealed after you are done. Decoupage is safe but will need to do a few layers and then you can sprinkle the sand on it while it's still damp or tacky

    • @3012ftp
      @3012ftp  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      swingcolor is the brand of the colors i used. it's just waterbased tinting paint. tile adhesive in it's powdery or liquid form is toxic. but once dried out it should be fine. you should be careful no to inhale it because it's very dusty when mixing it with water.

      There is no "safe" expanding foam. in its loose form it's (as far as my knowlege) toxic especially the gas that comes out of the bottle. so make sure to keep a window open when applying it and avoid skin contact. once fully dry it should be fine :)
