We decided to try to make a broadcast quality cartoon in DaVinci Resolve in 6 days with 3 people. South Park makes an episode in 6 days with 70+ people. Here's the story on how that went!

Can I make many different polygons like a shirt, and pants and merge into 1 so I can move both at the Same time and animate legs?

Sure! Yeah you can group things however you want and move them as one

Great job guys! This was a great case study, but I think Blender is much better for this job ;-)

Definitely possible. It would be similar benefits as you can edit/comp in blender as well as make rigs etc. Maybe some day!

Well we had a lot of them ready, but we made a lot too. We had script, most backgrounds and main characters rigs. But we had to draw a bunch in that 6 days.
