I really enjoyed your course. I am that Rebecca gal who wrote some comments. I would have loved a bit more of THIS sort of Edit LIKE So and So in the course, as projects to do. It was fun using your clips.. so adding just a few more projects IN the course that are helpful and instructional and are helping us LEARN how to do something a top tuber is doing is the one thing I would vote on asking more of in the course. Like maybe doing LONGER segments in the course then you do here on your channel, and maybe going into the MARKETING reasons about WHY the editing is done that way.. and the impact such editing has on the audience. Just my two cents.. it was worth the price I paid and I got a lot out of it.

I love that you constantly say the shortcut keys as you use them. I can't wait to try the bracket shortcut, you'd have an aneurysm if you saw my method.
very cool video. have watched a handful of your videos now, and your editing chops are legit and you're a good teacher too. i am def gonna keep using resolve as my main editor, cause i love the full workflow of having the edit page, fusion page, color page, and fairlight for full post production in one top notch app... but similar to how i use after effects when there's a gfx effect i can't get just the way i want in fusion (ie puppet pin), i can def see the value in capcut as a platform now. especially for crafting and creating meme-ey type intro hook sections for youtube videos, i really like all the built in effects they seem to have that are focused on intro hooks and shorts type content. will prob end up buying your course to maximize my learning curve for capcut creativity. also, this was a really cool idea for a video where you started with the hook, and then spent the video designing and building that hook lol. keep up the good work and have a great 2024! 💪😎
Really appreciate the thoughtful comment! Yes, like you, I'll keep using Premiere. But for some effects, I'll jump into CapCut. And dude, the noise removal for audio is pretty dang good! Better than Premiere. CapCut is a beginner app, so if you've mastered Resolve, I wouldn't go back, but rather use it for the fun stuff it does as needed.
OMG Thanks Trevor. I've been hunting forever to find how I can insert a new clip at the beginning of established timelines. Nowhere wanted to examine this. Surely its not unusual to start editing with a section that's not the very beginning? 5:40 right bracket and then move everything along to give myself room. I guess this is the best method to achieve this?

@@TrevorJonescreator if you watch the rockefeller video and play from 24.03 its start with the money and then the camera moves backwards with things comming in like its allready there. He does this technique alot both ways. This example is backwards, but would be great to learn both of them. 🔥 Thank you for responding by the way! ☺️

Some of the lesser known audio tracks might be OK, and if you use a really short clip, maybe 5 to 10 seconds, you’re probably OK, but I would avoid using CapCut music on TH-cam to play it safe. You’re better off using something like epidemic sound, which has a cheap monthly subscription.

Can you please help i updated my capcut pc software but after updating it, It's not working like it does runs but the problem is all I am able to see it is border lines only, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times but didn't work. Can you please tell me how to fix this problem, would really appreciate it 🙏🏼
oh no! I'd try this first: 1. Restart computer 2. If that doesn't work install the prior version 3. If that doesn't work reinstalling with a USA VPN, if you're not in the USA already 4. If that doesn't work email me a screenshot of what you see at my email in the about section. Good luck!

As far as getting away with it, if clips are short, under 5-6 seconds, I've NEVER had an issue in TONS of videos.
