Great video on Mothra's appearance in singular point, we don't know what will happen for the future of singular point, but with the introduction over, we know Mothra will have significant role in the future. Long live the Queen.
I think a more evolved Mothra can be really interesting for singular point season 2, her spirituality and mysticism would be a good contrast to the cold robotic Mechagodzilla
Can you make a video about the “deleted scenes” because after looking at the trailer i realized that there was a majority of scenes in the trailer that didn’t show up in the anime
You may be in luck but we may have to wait a bit. Pure speculation on my part, but GODZILLA SINGULAR POINT Vol. 3 that get's released in late October in Japan has "initial development pilot video collection" listed as an extra and I think that might be the suspected missing scenes (the breath scene, Ultima w/ the helicopter, etc.) I have all three volume on order so you can be guaranteed we'll be covering it
3:57 to 5:30 - Dude, let me just take a moment to say that I admire all of your commitment and dedication to editing and researching these videos. From one G-fan to another, you have my greatest respect for investing so much time, passion, and effort into a franchise that I've thoroughly enjoyed as fun escapism for many years. However, with that said, a grand majority of this info isn't conveyed in the actual series at all. "Singular Point" is yet another one of those series where the creators expect the audience to do their homework in order to "get it", rather than have the series speak for itself and stand on its own terms. As far as the context in the actual series goes, Mothra's appearance is completely superfluous. For me, personally, it just comes off as last-minute fan service as oppose to having "significant historical and dramatic weight", especially since her appearance has absolutely no bearing on the plot, whatsoever. :/
Thanks for the kind words though I'm really confused by the "grand majority of this info isn't conveyed in the actual series at all." What are you referring to? Wondering if it may may be about the "yellow butterflies" quote ... If so, you need to understand that GSP is bursting at the seams with cultural, historical and scientific information that may only get addressed in passing either visually or audibly. The majority of this information isn't vital to the plot but it does enrich it. Don't know about you but A LOT of this stuff flew past me when I watched GSP ... it wasn't until the folks with a greater knowledge of history/science/Japanese culture/whatever started pointing out these details on social media that I even took notice. To me, I think it's really cool but you're not expected to agree. Also, think you took issue with me calling Mothra's anime cameos "significant" ... that was strictly about their significance to their respective stories (she saves Haruo at a critical moment in PLANET EATER, her appearance in GSP comes at a point of high drama). That was editorial opinion on my part. Don't think I'm offended by what you posted (criticism is always welcome, despite what some may believe) but I would like you to elaborate on what you consider to be bad information here. P.S. - Comment edited because the spacing was all goofy when initially posted!
@@MONSTROSITIES.Tokusatsu First of all, thank you so much, not only for responding, but responding in a calm and respectful manner. As someone who's been verbally harassed countless times by angry G-fans over conflicting opinions in recent years (especially over the MonsterVerse), I very much appreciate it. :) Second of all, regarding the info on SP: I'm not saying it's "bad info" by any means. What I'm saying is that most of that info has no bearing on the story and only exists to either to explain or justify material that isn't elaborated on in the actual series or to make the series seem more complex and sophisticated than it really is. Like you said, Mothra's appearance in SP only exists for "high drama" and that's it. She had no story reason to be there. You could edit out her scene in SP entirely and the rest of the series wouldn't be any different. But it's not just the "yellow butterflies" quote, but various other info that seems to only exist either in magazine articles, books, or other expanded media outside of the canon series, like how the smaller Rodan species are referred to as "Rodan Adult." I fail to see the point of why we needed two different versions of Rodan in SP, since based on what we've seen in the show so far, both versions of Rodan accomplish the same things. The only reason I even know about that is because of supplementary material in expanded content outside of the series. I shouldn't have to rely on that expanded material in order to know these things.
@@nerdsman567 Sorry you've been harassed by fellow fans. Seriously wish it was an uncommon thing :[ Can understand not liking 'supplemental material' having to exist to explain plot points. It's a friggin' crutch in Hollywood to justify crappy writing and editing (looking at you STAR WARS). I don't agree with you that GSP is in the same boat (though I can respect your opinion on the matter) because, IMO, most of these little details I've been reporting on seem to exist to add some texture to the ideas presented as opposed to being designed to fill a void left by bad creative. If there was tons of supplemental info being dropped about bigger plot points like the time travel shenanigans, Ashihara's apparent survival, the true nature of Archetype--things like that---I would totally be in your camp. But so far, to my knowledge, there isn't anything like that yet. It appears they're keeping certain parts of the show's story purposefully vague; my guess is to keep the mystery alive for potential story continuations. Again, appreciate the conversation and also again just want to say that I do respect your opinion and I do understand where you're coming from. PS - Again edited for goofy spacing >
If Mothra would appear in a future season of Singular Point that would be awesome maybe some other classic monsters might return too but what Mothra’s role would be is anyone’s guess maybe just as usual trying to restore balance to the world after the Catastrophe and maybe also stop MechaGodzilla overall if Mothra were to return I would be excited and can’t wait for more Godzilla.
I’ve been thinking: what if Mothra is the Singular Point inside of the super dimensional calculator? Because BB said that Ashihara found the singular point swimming in the red lake and eventually started pulling the singular point up from underground to the facility in India.
Hey @MONSTROSITIES, The mothra we see Singular Point. I mostly call it Mini Mothra, becuz they are small and their size is comparable to a medium or a large moth. Maybe if all the small moths combine together they would make Mothra Singular Point. If godzilla had a chance to battle singular point mothra she will be seen with a lot of powerful abilities, kinda like mothra leo for example but better.
Would love to do more dives on the monsters (especially the ones that weren't covered in the Kaiju of GSP video) but the sad fact is the book has very little new information as far the behind-the-scenes info/designs/etc., etc. That's not to say there won't be videos but it will probably be more along the lines of this Mothra one as oppose to something like the other Kaiju video.
@@MONSTROSITIES.Tokusatsu That's fair enough. Equally I'm still in the stage of just gobbling up everything GSP! 😂 Have you seen the gorgeous TOHO SFX art books on Ultima and Jet Jaguar? Those would make for a great video, especially the jet jaguar one, some of those early designs were radical
Wow and I thought they disrespected her in the anime trilogy this just takes it to a whole new level cause she serves no purpose and does nothing in this show

Maybe mechagodzilla & Mothra vs Godzilla

Like if all of these moths combine, they turn into Mothra
@@gojira101 I do!
@@gojira101 YES! The small mothras could turn into a shape of mothra and a bright yellow and white light shines, and then a mothra could appear.
Amazing! I want AT LEAST another season of SP
It’s still coming I think
The same thing happen to me, I was exposed to mathra first, I knew the song and everything. After the movie when she faces Godzilla I was like oh shit
Such a fun and informative video! This is very close to the kinds of special-features I would want on a blu-ray release or something.
Very cool analysis! I really hope that we get another season, the story still has far more potential!
anyone else take the mothra cameo as a reference to the butterfly effect?
Maybe I’m not sure
I can't wait to see Mechagodzilla in action
Me too!
Same
Well, I don’t know if we will ever see him
All 4 of the famous Toho big 5 present in singular point! One left........
*BIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDIDI*
Speaking of him, they didn’t show him at all during the end credits at all, why is that?
Fantastic video! So want more Mothra and hope we get her in the next season we hopefully get!
Thanks, man!
I love that large moth despite her not making more appearances in the show!
