OC: The Triumph Street Triple 765 Moto2 already sounds amazing stock, but hot damn the new SC Project exhaust makes it sound like a sweet heavenly sound you'll want to hear all day. IMO a Triumph Triple is the only thing I love hearing as much as my R6.
@@IndyMotoRider So little you know. I owned a Aprilia RSV4 Factory limited with a SC Project GP22 exhaust before selling it to build a fully track ready R6.
@@old323I just acquired a 2024 MOTO2. Does that exhaust system fit like a direct bolt on? Does it come with absolutely everything I need to mount it? Does it need an ECU remapping and tune?
@@Maudires. Yes it comes with everything. I installed it myself quite easily. I haven't tuned or re-mapped my bike yet. The ECU is locked so I'm waiting for Woolich to crack it then I'll tune it
Jesse must be a very happy man! I may have to invest in this for my cosmic yellow RS - but only when tuning is available - otherwise expect a holed piston at some point!
@@RichDunn absolutely, that’s why I prefer using previous years OEM headers so you retain the CAT. You get the beautiful triple sound without messing with your A/F ratio and potentially hurting your engine.
I replaced my 2024 stock exhaust with a Racefit Growler X, it was 136db at 8k, way too loud. After 2 months of that I purchased a Zard black ceramic and it's absolutely perfect. The Zard has the right growl, and decel grumble and pops and comes in about 110dB at 8k. I had an SC Project on my 2018 765RS and I loved it. 12:24 - of course the car pulled out in front of you, of course it did
I’m looking at the same Zard exhaust in all black for my 2024 MOTO2. Does the exhaust come with absolutely everything needed for direct bolt on replacement? Lambda sensors? I’m on the edge on ordering one already I just need to know what else I need and if it works flawlessly? ECU remapping and tune?
This is exactly what happened when I swapped the stock exhaust for a Scorpion exhaust on my 675 RX. The base, and the pops added so much character to the engine. I leave the DB killer in because it actually sounds better with the DB killer installed.
The best exhaust combo I've had on this triple platform was, hands down, the akra full system on my daytona 675r. It was in this beautiful sweet spot and even the cops loved it 😅
Be careful with that. These new bikes are crazy lean, and there is no way to tune them yet. Once TuneECU cracks the encryption in the ECU, that will open the gates to getting them dialed in... But these latest Euro5 bikes are lean and a full exhaust is gonna put your air fuel ratio close to the danger zone. The O2 sensors have no ability to fix that. There is, and has never been a "15 minute tune" that people keep talking about... Its a myth... All you can do is reset the short term idle trims, the TPS and crank position sensor. If the tune is off, and it will be, it stays off until you find a way to tune it. Not trying to be a negative Nancy, but I have spent a ton of time tuning Triumphs and these latest ones are a pain in the dick to get dialed in. If I owned the bike, I would personally leave it stock till they crack the ECU and we can correct the fueling...
My thoughts exactly. I went with a racefit system since it uses factory headers and a cat from previous bike with a racefit slip on. I was afraid to mess the bike up if I installed a full system without a tune.
@@CraterLakey Yeah, we had a bitch of a time getting my 2020 dialed in. I had to use a combination of TuneECU to flash the ECU for some things, and then use a Power Commander on the dyno to clean up the rest. With that ECU locked, you are kinda stuck... I personally wouldn't risk it... If you run it too lean and cause an issue, Triumph will deny the warranty claim in a heartbeat. On my 2020, we had stock headers, decat and an Akra slipon. The AFR down around idle was 18 before I tuned it. That's dangerously lean.
@@Daves_Man_Cave do you think the solution by using previous gen headers with cat and adding a slip on only is a decent solution? Do you think it has any significant impacts on the fueling?
My 22 street triple r has an sc project 1 with the twirly pipe and db killer removed (welds look crazy) and it’s super loud. I don’t even have sc project headers and the bike sounds crazy
OC It doesn't sound bad, but I prefer the stock sound. To me it sounds more like a triumph triple with that stock exhaust. And in my old age I find myself getting annoyed riding around on a really loud bikes. They sound cool at Rev and fun for flybys but riding them for any amount of time gets really obnoxious.
Agreed. I was out this weekend doing a quick back to back impressions video on my 2024 Ducati Streetfighter V2 vs my friend's 2023 Street Triple RS that has a slipon... I actually preferred the stock sound of the Duc... I find that as I get older, I want to vlog, or enjoy the ride, and hearing that constant scream and drone is so distracting... Yeah, it sounds badass on track when you are wide open, but after awhile, my ears were shouting STFU at my brain and I handed him his bike back and went back to mine. haha
What about the ECU tune, I have ordered this exact exhaust for mine in UK, so far I seem to be having a few issues finding a good tuner that can even access the ECU software, not sure if this is a Triumph thing or not.
Sounds sick. I’m with you where if I had one I might just keep it stock because it sounds good. Currently deciding between a street triple or MT09 SP as my next bike.
What is the actual max dB for the SC and the stock pipe? While everyone is shitting on the sound of the SC, I think it sounds good. But really, I think the stock sound so good too.
Greetings from Australia. Will be keeping my moto 2 stock. Although it sounds amazing i find with my other bikes after a weekend away with friends when we will do 1300km ish they can be highly annoying.
legitimate question how is it the first in the UC SC project exhaust? doesn't the triumph street triple RS SC project exhaust fit? isn't it literally the same bike other then different front forks, clip ons and a paint scheme
@@biggums3368 I absolutely love race fit and the sound of it. Since you own one maybe you can help me. I have two questions. So I always wanted a triple but was stuck on which one to get. Street triple RS, Moto2 or Speed triple. Speed triple RR is out of the question because I’m 5’8 and the seating position is a bit too aggressive. I live in nyc and 90% is mostly urban riding. I love the moto two for the clip ons and not being too aggressive but cost is higher and insurance (seems) to be high or should I just get a RS. Also, will the speed triple be too much? I’m coming off a Z1000 kawi. Sorry for the lengthy paragraph. It’s just I’m ready to buy but absolutely torn between the 3 machines. And if you don’t mind me asking how expensive is insurance on a moto2 since it’s a limited production bike
@LucasSi919 I'm 6'3 so seating and positioning hasnt been an issue on either bike. I don't have experience on actually riding a speed triple, only sitting on one, but I will absolutely be getting one. Honestly on moto 2 or rs it's just in how much you wanna pay. I got the moto2 due to impatience but it turned out to be exactly what I've wanted. Mine has lots of upgraded carbon and other features. Cost didn't really matter to me as a car guy coming into the bike world where nice bikes are still cheaper than nice cars. Insurance seems low to me, I pay 150 for 3 bikes: moto 2, thruxton, zero.
@@biggums3368I just did the same thing in terms of being a car guy my whole life and finally getting into the bike world lol. Great bike but street or speed triple is def next! thanks for the feedback and ride safe🤘
@LucasSi919 ah that makes sense. I would probably suggest the speed triple for you... rs version if you're set. The streets tourque is substantially lower than your z1000. Speed triple is way better for that
I'm sorry but I've been riding since I was 17. I'm now 34 I can't tell you how much a loud exhaust will save your life. I've had numerous experiences where people will either move out of my way. In my opinion it’s way too loud, I had one on my 675r and after a quick ride (ca. 10 miles) my ears start ringing. And for German circumstances it’s dangerously close to getting problems with the police, long story short I swapped it for an arrow slip on. And an other downside of the sc is it’s so loud that you can’t hear the induction noise anymore, that’s sad because it’s reminds me of an e46 or and an e9x m3.
Also note this should be the same for the 2024 Regular Steet Triples. SCProject Noted anything post 2024 is incompatible with the older models. Can't wait to see how these go as I'll likely get a newer 2024+ sometime in the next couple years.
18+ headers fit perfectly fine on the 24' models. I have one with 2018 OEM headers and a Comp Werkes slip-on and installation was a breeze with no mods needed. Racefit also sells a full exhaust system for the 24 models, which consists of a slip-on and previous year OEM headers.
