    I appreciate how precise you are. The back of your blocks are the neatest I have seen. And you don’t skip steps, like you always set your seams, and you explain why. I learn so many little things from you, like getting your points perfect, and nesting your seams. Thanks so much for all the detail you include in your tutorials.

    • @FatQuarterShopTX
      @FatQuarterShopTX  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Lorrie! We decided to press open on this quilt to help reduce the amount of bulk in the seams. Some choose to press to one side so the seams don't show with a light background fabric.

    I was so excited to see this in my feed because I LOVE vintage patterns and this series and this one is gorgeous ... and THEN after I started watching the video I find out you only talk about using the triangle paper. UGH 😭 I don't want to use triangle paper, and it feels like you push using it SO much lately. I'm getting frustrated. I really wish you would at least put out directions for the block with and WITHOUT the paper.

    • @tblack4719
      @tblack4719 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The FQS pattern states the size HSTs to make and there are many, many tutorials on how to make HSTs without triangle paper - there are several different ways to make them. Good luck

    • @PeleLua1
      @PeleLua1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tblack4719 Oh you are right, it states what the finished size should be ... but having a pattern that tells me size pieces to cut to start with, or even how many I'm going to need, etc. is rather helpful ... the patterns lately using paper rolls do not do that and just give size of the paper needed ... I'd like to have the information supplied for both paper and piecing without ... rather than me having to figure it out ... or go elsewhere to look 🤷‍♀️
