    Team pin for sure! I've learned the hard way that I need to pin all of the intersections. It takes more time but, for me, the results are sooo much better that it's worth it.

    You can use those strips for paper crafts, or sew the ends together to make fabric yarn balls and crochet them to make cute rugs or pet pads

      I make string blocks and crumb blocks. Anything that is at least 3/4" I'll utilize in a scrap block. Anything smaller can be used to stuff a pet bed.

      I would probably cut the 8.5 square so I had 1.5 strips left over for another project as well. But I thought the scraps in a jar was a cute idea.

    • @marlahanks7278
      @marlahanks7278 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@robertaarrowsmith2860 I'm with you on the cutting!! I did a project from Gudrun Erla's TH-cam that used up leftover Honey Bun strips so having these 1.5" left would work great. Or as @Shelly Richards said above-use them for crumb blocks-which I've been on a roll making :)

    Kimberly, one could also use the original Stripology Ruler, for you only have to lift the ruler after cutting the strips and turn it to them make the second cut for the 2.5 squares. I’m a big fan of pinning.

    I pin at the intersections to keep crisp lines as needed. Otherwise usually no pinning. As a former clothing sewer less pins and removing them as I go was new to me. I learned to sew over pins and rarely if ever broke a needle back in the day!!
