    Perfect video for my new purchased ditch lights.
    Will be adding to my 16 taco.
    Wiring was my only issue.
    Didn't know where to run them. You're awesome. I'm figuring 1 hrs turn around. I'll go for 30 min.

    FYI... The drill bit you used is for Masonry or Cinder Block. That is why is basically melted your plastic instead of cutting.
    Keep up the good work. Your Taco is looking great.

    Look into the SPOD, much better way to go as you keep adding more electrical stuff such as your ARB air compressor, off-road lights, lockers, bed lights, hood lights, etc...
    Your switch location is a little sketchy! You also need to look into aftermarket battery posts that allow multiple connections, such as the SDHQ battery terminals. They also carry the SP-9100, which is like the SPOD.
    Just a heads up, as there are some great products out there for our Tacomas. Hope that helps. Mike

    Cool mod. Nice work, guys. Grab a couple of different sized step down bits for your tool box. They are super useful for projects like this.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  ปีที่แล้ว

      What’s a step down bit? We had all the tools we needed.

    • @mpr3209
      @mpr3209 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a drill bit that looks kind of like a Christmas tree. They come in different sizes. You use them to drill progressively larger holes without changing bits. It would have been perfect for drilling the hole for the switch in the cubby. A really handy tool to have when working on cars. Google "step bit" to see all kinds of different kinds. Cheers! @@BrosFOURRSpeed

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The kit has a positive and negative wire that attach to those posts on the battery. So just loosen the bolts, put the circular portion around the stud and tighten in back up. Very simple!

OR Air on Board sells switches that pop right into the Cali panel. caliraisedled.com/products/2016-2018-toyota-tacoma-oem-style-switch-panel

  • @ryanmurphy694

    Suggestion! I too originally zipped tied the lights to the wires under the hood but I ran into a problem. That is the wires for your washer fluid. After I zipped tied the washer fluid did not spray. I don’t know if it made the wires to heavy and it was not tied down all the way. I would check to make sure your washer fluid still works, if not you will have to relocate the zip ties.

    I like how the bracket fit so well. Unfortunately, here in Ontario Canada, we are not allowed any more that 4 lights including headlights and Fog lights. The only solution for ditch lights would be to have a cover for them.
    Nice videos. Keep it up

    They sit way too high. Isn’t there a lower profile bracket to use to lower them closer to the hood??

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might be able to find one, but then you wouldn't be able to attach the light to the bracket. I honestly love the look, I don't think they are too high at all. You also have to consider when the hood is open, where the light needs to be to not touch the windshield.
