    8 things to do before a round...
    1. Find your golf shoes
    2. Drive like crazy to the course
    3. buy balls
    4. buy a glove
    5. buy tees
    6. Buy a flapjack
    7. Run to the first
    8. Slice it O.B and take a Mulligan.
    Now you are ready to start.

    eating right is the hardest part for me. I'm not a big eater in the mornings, I usually go on coffee until about 2 or 3 pm. plus I'm excited and nervous when I'm going to play golf, so eating before the round is basically out of the question. I try to eat a big dinner like pasta and bread the night before. I'm very good at hydrating though. And I will bring a small bag of apple slices to eat during the round, something refreshing and not too heavy. When the round is done I am definitely ready for a hot dog!

    Don’t static stretch cold and don’t even static stretch for longer than 10 seconds before activity. Reduces the amount of force that muscle can produce. Dynamic stretching much more beneficial and once warm static stretches for no more than 10s of any areas you feel you really need it.

    If your on a trip in an area you don’t know, buy your beer for the round the night before. Some areas don’t allow alcohol sales before a certain time of day, and you don’t want to be late to the first tee with warm bag beers from the week before.

    Don't forget to have a ball marker, pitch mark tool, and/or some tees in you pocket before you get to the first tee. Also, walkers drop your bag or pull cart to the side you need to exit the green towards the next hole.

  • @billmalec
    @billmalec หลายเดือนก่อน

    My putting drill. Dead straight level putt from one foot, two, three, four just to make sure I'm set up and hitting square. Then a few long putts to get used to the speed. Then chipping to see how the ball checks up or doesn't. 5 minutes max and leave with that fresh in my mind to the first tee.
    I don't use putting aids or mirrors or lines on the ball or any of that crap. All I want to know is if I'm square and know the speed of the greens that day. Nothing else to cloud my mind.

    Those are tips I try to go by but are a little different as you get older. If you are at least in your 60s you’ll never get a round in if you wait for a good night’s sleep. I also start at the top of the bag and go down, it’s a bending over thing, essentially still getting warned up but going back to the driver for the last few balls because you’re using that club next. I save the pints or whiskey for later. Makes a good analgesic, good for aching muscles 😁. Also bring a sandwich with the water to keep my blood sugar even. I clean my clubs with ammonia water after my round, if I hadn’t too many pints 🍺
