- Go check out my faster lap on my page!
My first run on nurburgring, completely stock 2005 mustang gt. Factory Pirelli P-Zero all season tires, factory brakes with 40,000 miles on them. BTG time is approx. 10:15
One of the easiest cars to crash on a track that is the easiest track to crash on, but yet you kept it under control. Respect.
ThePotatoCarEnthusiast thanks man! It's actually fairly easy to control on track, but I wasn't pushing it too hard in this video... if you watch my most recent video on my account, I was pushing a bit harder
One of the best comments I have read yet
They are quite easy to control actually, all you need is throttle control
Impresseive first run: Dont read idiot hate comments, they think they know how to drive fast in a car you, me and other entuiast saved dream to have. They often dont have any real" car at all!
Technically a Vauxhall Corsa is still a car lol 😂
This just makes me want this car 20x more
weird how i found this comment again but i did get one on my channel lol
@@MikeGubisch lmaoooo
2000 - 2010 had the best cars imo.
They definitely did
Crap rear suspension, wishbone. The new ones (2015 plus) have fully independent multi link rear suspension, like Porsche and Ferrari have. The 2015 plus Mustangs are real sports cars. Before 2015, they were poor handling muscle cars
2013 and 14 where the best looking ones then the new edge
+1
@@coryphillips1783 only reason why for kept the solid axle until 2014 was for drag racing. Every drag racer lived the big ford solid axles for their builds and that was the primary market focus until the s550
Too much cancer on the comments..Great run man! Even kept the air freshener up.
Steven Ramos lol thanks man! I like keeping the tree up, it's sort of a visual G-meter. Go check out my newest video, had a lot more confidence in it!
always love when the stupid people say the Mustang is only good in a straight line. they should watch this video.
That's because they are only built for straight lines dumbass. Look how slow he had to make almost every single turn. My turbo'd Honda Civic Si would outrun this rustang in the corners at 110 mph, but then being an import there made for corners. i love when stupid people think american junk can corner when Honadas and imports does it miles better
ElCapo and where is your TH-cam video of your Civic on the Nurburgring? oh wait you don't have one uploaded. so stupid people like you need to stop commenting on videos until you have a video showing what your car can do on the Nurburgring I don't want to hear from you.
i don't need to upload shit when they all over youtube anyways, you see civics outrunnig rustangs like this pos in the video all day every day. you do realize honda is very respected and has a good rep for making some of the fastest sprots cars like the civic and nsx right? gtfo and know ur shit before running your mouth . american junk is junk like the rustang
ElCapo you're a bitch boy just running your mouth
ElCapo You think the civic is a sports car? Lmao what kind of drugs are you on?
P.S. if you own the blue Porsche @9:00 and you're watching this, you suck for being in the carrousel right behind me 😒😔
This was great fun to watch, calm and controlled.nice lines, great driving man! It's mostly the driver, not the car :)
Hell yea brother. Miss my “old” stang lol
TheFillyFill get another one! The 2018 is going to be pretty badass
Holy crap dude, that sound is awesome!
Also you clipped a cone at the beginning?
Can't beat the sound of a healthy 3V! And honestly, I don't know what happened there... I thought I clipped a cone, but I looked behind me and all the cones were in the same position. The opening was pretty small, so I wouldn't be surprised if I clipped it with my rear wheel
I really enjoyed this vid man! Just a smidgeon of advice: get on the accelerator a little faster coming out of the curves. You have excellent hand position on the wheel and of course more practice means better times. You looked like you were having fun.
Conduite très sécuritaire, rien à redire... BRAVO MEC !

Driving very safe, nothing wrong ...
Yes, I was driving safe, it was my first lap ever... very difficult track to get used to! I did, however, run a faster lap where I played a little more risky. check it out! th-cam.com/video/CotWiR6hcPs/w-d-xo.html

Much appreciated! More videos to come!
Mustang Fang GT nice man, I'll go check it out! My build list is almost finished, so the build will be coming soon, and I'll be shooting for 8 minutes!
That Porsche pulled an absolute Houdini. Damn
When I saw the powerade I said "Damn this guy REALLY likes red!"
I love the s550, but wanted to see how the 197 handled on a track, as they have a reputation for an unpredictable oversteer. Nice :)
John Galt I’m also more of an S550 fan myself... I’ve actually upgraded to one since this video!
Nice Job Dude ! No panic to keep up and smooth acceleration on the corners, Last thing you want to do is break them tires. this from an armature. Cheers
Lol nothing but porsches, nice run man. I'm 17 just got a 2005 Windveil Blue GT as my first car and I absolutely love it. I hope to be able to run this track someday. I have Daytona Speedway about 2 hours away from me so I can start there lol.
For sure man, any track is a good start! I mean, if you have daytona near you, you should also be fairly close to Sebring and Road Atlanta, right? The biggest thing is just to get out there and do it!
That was my first car when I was 17. Unfortunately my garage flooded only 5 months after having her, I’m 18 now and I have an 06 Vista Blue GT
I actually had to save up for my first car lol
Nice. Love it when i c a 2005 to 2009 S197 on the track. May i ask u something...how many miles did u have on it when tracked? and what did u do to car to prepare it for track? i ask cause i have a 122K mile one and will track her soon.
james liu definitely man! Not all that common out here in Germany! Mine has about 40k miles on it. I didn't do anything to prep my car because I wanted to get a baseline number, however I don't suggest that because it's very dangerous. 122k should be fine, just make sure all your fluids are good and you aren't having any issues. If you haven't done a fluid flush on the car at all, definitely do that first (coolant, diff fluid, trans fluid, brake fluid, and fresh oil). My best suggestion is get some quality pads (g-loc... hawk is overrated) and motul 600 high temp brake fluid. Because our cars are so heavy and only have 2 pot calipers, that fluid heats up real fast. Rotors should be fine, but if you're planning on upgrading, stay away from drilled rotors. And if you have a 2005-2006, get a new fuel pump (stock replacement or upgraded). Those years have a TSB on it that, when they get too hot, they start to cut out. If you watch my most recent Nurburgring video on my account, you'll see that I had issues with that, as I was pushing it a lot harder. Most importantly, have fun with it! You don't need to be a pro right away, just get a good feel for how your car behaves! Good luck!
thats some sound advice. Thx. I just subscribed !
james liu no problem man! Thanks for the subscription!
Love the air freshener
It’s a poor man’s G meter! Lol
1:45 :D:D
Slobodan Miloševič yeah, I don't even know what that was! It wasn't a cone because the cone was still in place after I left!
If you look a few seconds earlier, he's approaching an already knocked over cone on the right. The stang's side skirt may well have flipped it back up in place!?
I have seen so many stangs wipe out on the road tracks. respect you for doing it in stock form. please upgrade your suspension and brakes b4 any road course. safety first
Of course! race season is over, and I set my baseline time, so the winter is for my full suspension/brake build. gunning for low-sub 8 minutes this spring!
Jake Smith and your tires as well. b safe
Oh yeah, of course wheels and tires... planning on a 19x10 square setup
1:45 Gotta love that harsh GT suspension. lol
He clipped a cone.
@@gtmike916 i know, and he didn't clip it, he literally ran over it lol.
@@jrag1000 He later on went to a whiteline watts link and coilover setup and that’s definitely needed on these S197 and SN95 Mustangs.
@@gtmike916 i still have a red fire S197
@@jrag1000 nice!
Around 4:30 I think I could hear the brakes getting hot
Looks fun man. Just wanted to give you a heads up in case, it sounds like one of your rotors are warped.
Definitely a great time man! and thanks for the heads-up, but I already new about it. it was actually a hairline crack in one of the front rotors. That's why I took it easy through the lap (and why I got such a slow lap time). I'll be posting new videos next race season with some more work done (2013 GT front brake upgrade is part of the list)
Jake Smith ah right gotcha. Nice dude! Just upgraded my rotors to power stops z26 with ceramic pads. Huge difference!
Good stuff man! I already have the 2013 calipers and some hawk pads, but I just have the factory vented rotors. they should be sufficient, but if not, I'll be upgrading to some stop-tech slotted rotors. braided brake lines are also on the list along with some motul 600 fluid
Jamie German not to mention his cats are rattling 😂😂if he even has any
for some reason you act nervous, but i can understand I would be nervous too specially with other drivers out there. you're lucky to be near that track I would do anything to just set foot there 😂😂😂
Yeah, I was pretty nervous... With this track, you can practice in video games and watch as many videos as you want, but you'll never be fully prepared for the intensity of this track! It's definitely an unnerving experience (especially with how unfit my car was)
So many keyboard hero drivers in the comments!!
Good steady lap, you have every right to be nervous on the first lap of the Nordschliefe
1:45 wtf was that lol?
5pointoh cone
hey nice christmas tree
Lmao I was obviously a bit unprepared for this lap, and that included forgetting to pull down the tree
+1 at 1:45 for the cone lol
Buen video
No seat belt on track? Oh my god
No seatbelt? I put it on in the first few seconds 🤔
@@sgsjake3904 your body shacking a lot I tought you didn't have maybe the stock seat........
are there any tracks like this on American anyone know? and what does it cost to run your car on these type of tracks?
R8R 4LIFE in terms of physical layout, Nurburgring is one of a kind. But there ARE road course tracks all over America. Typically, it’s about $200 for a full day that includes food, classroom instruction, and an instructor ride-along to give you pointers. It’s called HPDE, and if you go to motorsportreg.com you can find all kinds of events near you
@@sgsjake3904 thanks for the information....I'll look into it!..
I know you were not even trying I can tell an expert driver could have done wonders on that track with that stang
Wasn't really pushing it... fastest I've gotten was 9:45, I think with new tires and brakes I can hit mid 9s
@@sgsjake3904 There ya go..
next time try corner from outer portion of the track then turning it just second before the apex. see any time improvement
Yeah, this was my first lap ever on the 'Ring, so it was more of a familiarization lap than a low lap time. Hitting apexes hard would require better brakes, better tires, and *most importantly* more driver confidence. being a 20 Year old taking his first lap around one of the most dagerous racetracks on earth, the confidence wasn't quite there
Jake Smith your lucky living near by.
Yeah, it's definitely an incredible opportinuty I've been given! I'm only about an hour or so away from it
who races nurburgring with an air freshener hanging from their mirror? lololol
It’s a budget G-meter bro! Lmao

any tips on getting a used 05-09 mustang gt?
Jack Chan main advice; stay away from 05-06... they have a lot of TSBs that'll lead to rattles both inside and out of the car, incorrect parts used on the car, faulty gauges, no aux input, and (worst ones for me) malfunctioning fuel pump that creates air bubbles that get sucked into the fuel system and a bad tank that prematurely shuts off gas pumps
SGS Jake how about the 07-09 mustangs, do they have any problems or never had any info on those?
Jack Chan not really, the 07-09 was pretty problem-free
SGS Jake I have an 05 mustang gt with 180k miles and never had any of those problems yet
The petrol tank problem about it shutting off early can be fixed by just pumping the fuel with the nozzle upside down. :) former 2007 GT owner.
This guy is getting left by hindas🤣🤣🤣
This guy doesn’t know how to spell “Honda” 😂😂😂
Brakes are Crap for Racetrack. Install better Discs if you want to drive there often!
More like how to race in a mustang right 101 no show boating and etc....
No helmet ???!!!!
Not required on nurburgring!
You were getting passed by everything out there dude. I think i saw a yaris. Upgrade your rig.
Daniel Sandoval check out one of my more recent videos, I’m sure you’ll be somewhat pleased! BTW, that “Yaris” wasn’t a Yaris, it was a Renault Mégane RS, actually a fairly quick car around a track
stiff arms and body...
A better driver and it would of been a lot faster
Jaime Acosta Cool story bro, lets see you do it
@@sgsjake3904 Bro, sorry, i can tell you didn't try really hard, I know with good tires that car is really goo at the track, but I can relate, I would also be afraid of crashing my baby, and those people passing you they look like pros..
Jaime Acosta yeah man, it can definitely be unnerving, and the fact that the car had the original 10+ year old tires and brakes made it even worse. If you look at my channel, I eventually did some minor work to the car (wheels/tires, springs, dampers, brakes) and ended up cutting the time down to an 8:30 in pretty crappy conditions. With more time on that setup (only ever did 3 laps with it) I probably could’ve broken into the 7s, but I ended up selling the car for a 2018 GT
Very slow
As would be expected during a first lap ever on one of the world's most dangerous racetracks with 10+ year old tires and brakes
It looks slow only on camera
Painful to watch....your way to cautious out there. You really should take a lesson or two. Gran Turismo doesn't count. 😉
Well, it was my first lap ever around the track, and as the description says, it's on factory tires and brakes with over 40k miles on them, so caution was a necessity. The fastest time I got by the end of the season was a 9:45, and I really don't think I could have gotten more out of it as the car stood... hell, I was getting brake fade by turn 3! But don't worry, the full suspension/brake/wheel/tire build is coming this summer, and I'll be aiming for a low-sub 8 minute lap with video!
P.S. the video is very deceiving... By the first braking zone, I was right around 130mph, but it looks like only 50 mph or so. Once you actually get out on the track, it's completely different than any video or game can make you think
