I saved up money from part time job since my freshman year to buy myself a mustang gt. i graduated this year and can finally afford a used one. Buying her this weekend from a private seller. Cant wait to hear her roaring v8 in my driveway.

Now that I am in the USA I still love classic (and some newer American cars) but found that often the forbidden fruit is that much more appealing. I for instance would love to own a Phase II 405 MI16 (or the bigger 4x4 Turbo model, The 405 T16), something they never had in the USA because Peugeot pulled out in 1991. And then there are the R32, R33 and R34 skylines... The grass is always greener on the other side... even when you move to the other side... Hahaha!
The Dutch Texan I'm not saying europeans and japanes can't make exciting cars, I'm saying that they are having a hard time making them exciting and affordable. The cars you've mentioned are great but they weren't affordable at all, at least when new.
I’ve had a 2007 Mustang GT premium with a manual tranny, the same color as yours except mine has the red and black interior. I bought it two years ago with 37,000 miles on it for $15,000. It’s still in mint condition and I enter it into a dozen car shows during the summer. It’s a garage queen in the Wyoming winters. I love this car and wouldn’t think of selling it. Oh, and it’s got the shaker 1000 stereo and the heated seats. It just turned 40,000 miles. I have it at the Mustang Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota and that racks up the miles. Been thinking of making a daily driver during the summer. Thanks for the awesome review on a timeless car.
yeah my 2008 GT is still going strong. love it! never any issues with it, ever! ive been modding it quite a bit lately. but i do wish it started out with a little more than 300 ponies and stronger brakes. oh well still a hell of a car!
Thank you! Your video inspired me even more so to get a Mustang. I have always loved Mustangs as a kid. Got myself a 2013 Mustang 5.0 convertible! It’s all smiles when I start it up and drive it around! Thanks again Dutch Texan stay safe!
@@TheDutchTexan I know time flies! You brought your kids home with that car! That is so cool! What a beautiful legacy man. Cheers to that. The car that never left… The Mustang! Who says a family car can’t be a 2 door with a V8?!

Love the review Im a Ford girl f150 truck for work and Mustang for play , I agree with you when you said the mustang never left, and the others left and came back.
I remember when this Mustang GT was brand new back in '05, with 300HP it was everywhere, on magazines, on commercials, I can't believe it's already 11 Years old. I remember 2005 like it was last year, but it's been a Decade. How time flies when you're having fun. It's hard to believe Now the new 6th Generation Mustang V6 hakes over 300hp. Which makes it more powerful than this Decade Old GT.
+PhenomProductions23 yup, and the V6 folks love to talk to me about that. But there is one thing they will forever miss. The great soundtrack. And a movie is nothing without a great soundtrack! I remember driving this when it was brand new. The stares I got... Now it's just an old mustang. But she still looks great IMHO!
They are getting more and more affordable! As much as I love the handling of the new ones I am in love with the first gen S197's styling. I'd totally swap a Coyote in my mustang... If I could justify it... Which at 10K I can't. I'd rather get something old and daily the mustang for that kind of money!
Yeah. I'm looking for a 2005-2010 mustang gt right now. I currently drive a challenger, and I'm gonna keep it along side the mustang. I don't wanna spend 20g plus on a camaro ss right now. Maybe later on in my late 20's but not right now lol.
Arch417 05-07 is the newest I tested out in 2016 when my wife wanted me to replace my 64.5. It was a 50th birthday gift. My 05 GT resembles the 70’ mustang , looks like the real thing. I miss the 64, met a lot of chicks rolling in that car🤠
Hope you still have it. I know this is an old video. I have 2010 3V 5 speed GT with only 9000 miles. I love it. It's a humble but bold car. The 5 speed Tremec is a great tranny.
@@TheDutchTexan Nice man! Glad to hear you still have it. Hopefully nothing major, major is wrong with it. It sounds like there's a sentimental connection as you mentioned your children have ridden in the Mustang. And true, these cars become part of the family. I read an article in a Hemmings magazine of this 50-something year old woman had bought a 1986 Mercury Capri 5.0, manual tranny, when she was 16 years old brand new. And many years later, she still has it and never wants to sell it, even though she doesn't drive it anymore. The story showed pics of her posing with the car in 1986, to now. I always tell people "this will be the car I die with". I have a side "beater" car that I drive to work, grocery store, etc. So my stang is only a weekend car. But I love her, even though she isn't the fastest, she still is a GT V8. I call her my "freedom car". Being that the tyrants are pushing "electric cars" only by 2030 (Agenda 2030), for "cleaner emissions". Yeah right! they don't care about anything like that. It's all about control. Grid shutdown with nothing but electric cars. No one is able to move nowhere. But that's a whole other story. Anyway, take care and God bless!
Nice review! I have a '05 GT and LOVE IT!!! Like you said, it's 10 years old, but it's still so much fun!!! Mine only has 54,000 miles on it. So, it's still new.
And the lines are classic. And to be honest, I think it looks better than the 2015, which very much did away with the whole retro styling. I guess it is necessary to move on for the future of the mustang. But the first gen S197's are definitely some good looking mustangs and will age well.
I found a 2005 GT in mint condition with 11k miles on it. I’m considering purchasing it. How much do you think it is worth? They are asking for 14k. I think that’s way too much.
great review! i have an 06 v6 (im only 17) i enjoy it alot, its not fast haha but it has decent power, this body style is by far my favorite of the modern mustangs.
I have a 05 v6 and I am 18 I have had her fir a year now and I have enjoyed it, she isn’t fast but I have loved it. I love the body style and the interior.
i love my 05 , mine has a few goodies and it surprises a lot people who think that the old 4.6 has no guts .. And for the interior i can't complain i like mine a lot with the silver accent and the red leather seats... great review :)
What i love about the 3V 4.6 and 5-speed combo is the cars are so understressed and insanely reliable. Good thing you didn't go with a Mini, that would be a reliability nightmare. I'd imagine the engine has been trouble free? What mileage are you at? And what kind of MPG are you getting?
They are so much fun! And the aftermarket is there as well. Stock block should hold up to 450whp which isn't much in coyote talk, but still more than enough to have some serious fun! The styling IMHO still holds up.
Buying this car for $1200 soon. Only problem is it doesn't start so I have to tow it back home and fix it up. Luckily I'm selling my current car I'm driving to pay for costs
Nice video! I'm a long time Mustang enthusiast and had an '07 V6 for 8 years until it was totaled by someone on their phone last month. I was able to get an '06 V6 in Redfire, and it is also a TX car (I'm in CO) and the door panels are peeling just as you mentioned.
My mustang leaked into the passenger footwell. What it was is debris clogged a drain hole in between the hood and the windshield and in hard rain the water would overflow through the cabin filter into my car. If you make sure that trench is clear of debris especially after leaves falling or pollen season you’ll be ok. I wish I knew before hand.
You'll have a lot of fun with it once you get it! The coyote might be the more potent engine, but a 3v is not a slow car at all. It can get you in plenty of trouble for sure!
+green97probe thanks! And yes, I would have personally regretted that too. I think it was a downgrade to the s197 looks. And the fact it did not get a new motor did not excite me at all.
I'm 16 and about to get my first car. It has to be cheap I think I've decided on the 05-09 mustangs. They are very affordable (4k-7.5k). Are they fairly reliable? I don't have a whole lot of money for repairs so I need the number of repairs to be minimal. From what I've seen. They can make it to a very high mileage with out any major problems.
There are people that go well beyond 100k in their early s197's. I would suggest (as I did at the end of the review) to join and frequent a mustang message board and ask as many questions as possible. That way you will get answers from many early s197 owners and you can make a proper decision. You will be doing repairs, and some might be costly. Such is the nature of a car with a little grunt that is getting older. Mine is 11 years old now and it's having some work done as I type this (brakes, gauge cluster). It will be a hefty repair bill this time. But, that is after all that time. Overall I don't think I have spent more than 300 dollars a year on repairs. But, it will only go up from this point on because it is aging.
+The Dutch Texan thanks for the response. I'm very enthusiastic about cars and anything I can do myself I will. I'm most worried about major engine problems that would be impossible for me to handle. Also I'll be sure to check the forums.
Not sure if you're still looking for one, but I'd definitely recommend it. I bought one for myself when I was 16, still have it. Was going to buy a 2017 this year, but I ended up modding my 05 and keeping it. Can check mine out on one of my posts on my Instagram @averagetolavish . I think it's lookin' pretty good. Getting it detailed & maybe ceramic coated soon to bring back the paint to 100%.
I have a 05 4.6 V8 GT automatic red leather interior fireRed metallic paint with 24,600 miles. never seen rain or snow.. It's for sale because I'm disabled and can't drive it no more.
thanks for your video. I'm in the market for a 05-07 and your comments helped! Prices are amazingly low. Probably bottoming out at this point. $9K will buy a nice one with 100K miles, which is not a lot of miles.
I'm buying My first car soon mustang for sure, 02-05 not sure yet been looking at 05's my dads a mechanic, has been for 30 years. But you mentioned looking at forums for problems with the 05's. I think il do that. Thanks for the video man.
I currently own a 05 for the five months and a half now. I don't know what to do to my to the stang performance wise but I like to hear any recommendations. Great review man
+BoneZ thanks for the props. As far as performance, just as long as you realise you will not touch the coyote V8's even with full boltons I would suggest checking out mustang forums. You can go N/A, you can go F/I, there are so many paths you can take. And in the end, it's all about how deep your pockets are!
Right now? If I had the coin to spend on a current generation it would be a 2014 GT500 with track pac. Old ones? Every year has it's charm so the list is never ending on that... 64-66 coupes, 67-70 fastbacks, 71-73 sportsroofs, 78 King Cobra's, 79-85 hatch fox's with the pace car front bumper (or lower). After that nothing makes my heart beat faster until the new edge mach 1's or cobra's. 2005-09's look great, but they missed the beat till 2013 and 14. The current 2015's are ok, but the one to wait for has to be that flat crank V8. Look at me going off on a rant... Hahaha!
Are we talking current gen ponycars or old school muscle? Because when I hear muscle-car I think old school muscle like torino's, chevelle's, impala's and the like.
Don't worry about it, I knew what you meant! And yes, that is 100% bone stock! I'd say it broke in well, it seems louder now than it was when the car was brand new!
I love my 05 GT. I have added a few parts to it and I love this car. Mine is a convertibole...IF (I were to attemtp :))i took it out for a ride, it will do very close to 145. ...IF
My wife had a 07 GT/CS until about a year into having our first kid. Then we traded it in on a 2012 focus. It was an automatic, but boy did it look good!
i have this same car and color but in a convertable. it only has 32k miles. once i learned to drive stick i knew this was the car for me. my door panel upholstery insert things did peel off and i had to repair it, but my guages work just fine and im hoping it stays that way!
vengancetastesgood my wife used to own a 07 GT/CS convertible, but that was an automatic. I love the styling on that car but I did miss shifting myself. That car was long gone when I started this TH-cam channel otherwise I would have made a video on it.
Yeah, my grandma has an 09 GT (yes, I did say my grandma) and the door panel came off while she was driving. It was in 2011 when we had a really bad heatwave in Houston. I think she actually got it replaced for free because it's such a common problem in these cars though.
I was out of warranty. Still shoddy from Ford they made a door-panel that lasts just past warranty in my case. Classic cars have original door-panels from the 1950's!
I knew a guy that bought a 2010, it was so much nicer inside than my 2005 mustang. It really shows how Ford has stepped up on their interiors from that point on. The new one is really really nice on the inside. I still think the first gen s197's look best together with the 2013-14 s197s
Thanks man! And it seemed like a neat shot. The thing that I was surprised about was the sound of the intake overpowering the wind noise. That was a nice bonus!
In the market, looking to get a mustang for the dusty time, based on the issues you mentioned, I'm looking at a year above '06 that is below $15,000 that looks mean
Find a nice cherry stock one with >60k miles and mod it to your liking would be my advice! It's always better to know what mods you put in your car rather than trusting what someone else has done.
I wish I had the GT/CS front bumper. I still got a GT/CS - GT500 rear bumper in the attic. Never got around to get it painted and installed. Perhaps someday... $$$
My sister drives my dad's old 05 impala and when he had it the passenger side had a little water leakage but we got it fixed really quick and it's been fine since. It might just be 05 year molded cars lol.
Do you watch 2theredline? It looked like a mix between your vlog style and 2theredline's reviews :) Loved it though, and I'm amazed at how fast it actually is, I was expecting it to be a bit slower and heavy
I actually did not know about 2theredline! Subscribed to him just now! I like car reviews like that, mine are not going to be too in depth though as I am driving and in front of the camera. I just can't do the whole narrative thing. And my stang does pretty good. I have ran a new edge (99-04) GT with bolt ons in 2008 and the edge went to mine.
I'm getting this for my first bought car (my real first car was a '99 Intrepid I got handed down to me from my dad). My mom is making me get Automatic so I won't go too crazy lol. It was hard finding one within my price range ($6000), but me and my dad haggled the price down from a used car lot because its been sitting for almost 90 days at this point. Great review by the way.
Thanks! And my wife used to have a GT/CS that was an automatic. Nothing wrong with it being an automatic. Hell, it was easier to get off the line than my manual!
As far as I know they can go far beyond 100K with good maintenance. But if it has been hot rodded it might not make it that far either. I'd beware of a car with that mileage, and expect some major maintenance items to come up. Check mustang-forums and ask the question, a lot of people over there have higher mileage mustangs and might have personal experiences to share.
All those years have automatics for both V6 and V8 GT models. The only ones you can not get with an automatic are the GT500's (or the 2004 cobra for that matter). They all come equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission.
Everytime I hear peolpe talk sh*t about the 2005 Mustang GT and about the "cheap plastic interior", I want to slap them in the face! But I still love this car AND I'm getting one ^^'
Have fun with it! It's such a nice looking car imho! Just don't expect it to do wonders against newer cars, even a modded ecoboost will take you now. Hahaha!
You can get door panels without the insert for $150-200 and never have to deal with that again. All the roush mustangs had the panels without the insert.
so the dutch texan would you prefer this besides a 2002 mustang gt wich i own i think of an upgrade would i notice a diference nice review man do more do a 2002 mustang gt lol
I have ran a bolton 99-04 GT back in the day (it had intake, exhaust, tune) and the 2005 still beat it. It's better, but, the difference is not as big as the difference between the 05-09 and 11-14's. That 5.0 coyote just made mincemeat of the 4.6 3v. My opinion? Unless you can buy the car outright don't upgrade and stick with the new edge. There isn't enough of a performance gap to justify the cost.
I'm a teenager and I'm looking to buy a 05 mustang gt, does it cost a lot to maintain or how much am I looking at for insurance ? thanks for whoever replies ! lol
+Alex Summer insurance is something you can call any insurance company for, but it being a coupe, rear wheel drive with 300hp isn't going to make things cheap for a teen. Maintenance is OK, but they have their flaws that can come to light and that can be expensive (join a mustang forums, you will find many threads and can ask questions). I personally had to change a throttle body because it went bad. I will also need to replace my gauge cluster and have replaced my door panels. My brakes are gone at this point, but that is a consumable, same with tires. The stock pirelli's are gone in under 30k if you drive it like you should.
It's an 800-900 dollar repair at the dealership (mine is still broken). I personally am not happy with it either. The later models have different stepper-motors in the dash cluster and are supposedly ok!
I will never have a car that doesn't move my soul. It might not make sense, but if you can swing it it'll be the most fun you can have. Although, import and everything makes it twice as expensive...
I love these cars. I'd like to get one as a fun summer car but in Canada they are still fairly pricey. For an 05 gt with 100k kilometers people are still asking 15 grand for them. Oh well maybe I can come across a good deal eventually. Nice video by the way.
I know what you mean Callum. When I was looking for my Mustang I saw people asking well over 15 grand for like you said an 05. Insane. And lots of times they were beat all to hell too. Keep looking you will find the right deal at the right time.
I am wanting to get mustang, but I don’t have enough to get an 2014 gt. I can get 2008-2011 gt but I don’t like their body style, what should I do!! Would it be better to get an Ecoboast 2014??
The Ecoboost will not have what you want, which is the V8 sound. If you have a car I would hold onto it for as long as feasible so you can save up for the car you really want.
That’s the thing, I don’t have a car atm. I got in an accident with my truck. You are right I do want a v8 sound, but I just love the newer models mustang like the 2014. 2015 and up mustang don’t really appeal to me.
I do not know anything about prices in Canada, but it doesn't sound like a whole lot of money if the car is solid. 170k miles is a lot, but if it is 170k kilometers that should have plenty of life left.
I would vote for the manual, as it is a more connected driving experience! But an automatic isn't bad at all either, and you'll get off the line consistently too!
i have a 05 mustang GT with 55k miles, i love that thing! The Dutch Texan would you sell the gt500 rear bumper? I live near plano texas ill pay cash!$!$
Sorry, it's not for sale due to the fact it will end up on my own car sooner or later. Right now I have other priorities, but I hope to start modding my mustang by 2016.
Sorry but I consider the Mustang II in the late 70's as "leaving". It might have had a pony badge and say mustang on the outside, but NOTHING on the car ever was Mustang. You say it never left, I say it should have, because those were embarrassing...
They where, but they where also very successful. I'd totally Rock a Mustang II King Cobra with all the louver options. Why? Because it is so wrong it's cool!And... still never left... Take that you chevyholic! (Buut... We're talking 1978...Which brings up the "Chevrolet" Trans Am... The dark side is always looming).
No, gotta have a V8, which is what the king cobra had! Pinto underpinnings... Probably the reason why they only kept it for 4 years. The Fox body underpinnings though... 1979-2004! One can only think of the possibilities...
Im not gonna even talk to a blue blooded ford guy about the fox body mustangs, I know it will do no good! Like we always said in the beginning, better to love American iron than import crap!
'MERICA > Everything else. (Does not mean that I don't respect and like [or dare I say love some] imports, but that is kinda fitting... being an import myself!).

The Dutch Texan I love the new v6 but the v8s from 2005 are Moore nostalgic from me seeing them a lot when I was in preschool around 2006 or 2005 idk
But sound better v8 2005 arto mas
THIS PONY CAR DON'T NEED NOTHING ELSE EXTRA. IT'S ALREADY FAST AS HELL JUST LIKE IT IS!. A BEAST!🔥🔥🔥
Good review! I'm actually looking to buy an 07-09 model sometime soon.
+archinuk417 they are fun cars! Not Coyote quick unfortunately, after driving one of those mine feels really really slow.
+The Dutch Texan Haha I don't want to afford a 5.0 right now.
Arch417
05-07 is the newest I tested out in 2016 when my wife wanted me to replace my 64.5.
Still got it! It needs some work though so it isn’t being driven very much anymore.
Just picked up a '05 GT Premium. I've had every generation of Mustang up to this one and I'm excited to see what i can do with it
Penty of aftermarket support to make it completely your own! And since the coyote fits under the hood the sky is the limit!
@@TheDutchTexan I'm thinking of going old school. If possible, i wanna try to put a 429 in there. Never seen a carbureted S197
Great review! Very honest and non biased! Brilliant!
I appreciate it! As of 2021 I still own it too! Love driving it!
I love my 05 GT too.... Installed Flowmaster Outlaws... Sweet.!!!!!
MrMus TangMan
Flow master outlaws? My 05 is stock and sounds pretty tough, but something more throaghty , not noisy, is what I’m looking for
The outlaws sound incredible I have them on my 07 highly recommended
@@josephgalante935
agreed.....
great review! i have an 06 v6 (im only 17) i enjoy it alot, its not fast haha but it has decent power, this body style is by far my favorite of the modern mustangs.
+ZortexDubstep | I am going to have to go and agree with your statement 100%!
They are quick enough to have fun with, but that Coyote just outshines it!
How much you paid for it?
The ear to ear grin started when I test drive my 2007 GTCS and continues daily.
It's intoxicating to this day, even though it is obvious it hasn't aged well in the horsepower department!
Thanks for commenting back man really appreciate it. Hopefully keep u updated on getting mine :)
I drive mostly highway at 70mph and I get 23 mpg
I got this car about a year ago as my first car and all i can i say is that this thing is nuts for its age !
They are so much fun! And the aftermarket is there as well. Stock block should hold up to 450whp which isn't much in coyote talk, but still more than enough to have some serious fun! The styling IMHO still holds up.
@@TheDutchTexan imo 4.6 3v sounds wayyyy better than a coyote but thats just me
You’re right, more of a thumping sound than the raspyness of the Coyote.
Great review! This is my favorite 21st century Mustang
+Webo thanks! I am pretty partial to her as well. But, I'd love to add a new GT350 to the stable. Hahaha!
One of the best reviews on a car I've seen Great job brother God bless
Thank you Kenny! It was my first car review ever too! So it will always be special to me.
this is the type of review I was looking for, if only there were more reviews like this one.
Thanks for the props! I just did what I thought was right.
Excellent review! Just got my '07 GT 5-speed back in August and love it to death.
+RCGCarReviews They are cool cars, that's for sure! And the soundtrack, even with the stock pipes, is amazing!
Couldn't agree more!
over here in Ga its geting cheaper but i want one tho
They are pretty nice looking cars, not the fastest, but still a load of fun!
My dream car at an affordable price right there!
+Ender200 they are getting more affordable every day!
I'm currently saving up for a 2005 mustang gt. I'm suddenly in love with a car I don't even have yet. I'll reply right back here when I get it!
You'll have a lot of fun with it once you get it! The coyote might be the more potent engine, but a 3v is not a slow car at all. It can get you in plenty of trouble for sure!
Did you get it?
@@edgarvee1104 i did not get it :(
Keep working towards it, one day you will make it!
This is my favorite model of mustang I hope to have my dad's one when he buys a new car
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Awesome review. I had a 2007 GT in Redfire with the Light Graphite leather. I traded it in on a 2010 GT in Red Candy. I really regret that.
No problem! No matter what you end up with, you'll be part of the crew! Thanks for watching my video man!
remember...new driver is high on insurance not to mention that's a sports car which is also higj
Thanks for the review. Great job!!! About to purchase my first ever Mustang, 2006GT
Have fun! And get yourself on that mustang forums if you haven't don that already! :)
How do you like yours so far?
Just let you know that I did buy the 2006 GT. It is AWESOME!!!! :-)
+Paul B congratulations! You'll have a lot of fun with it!
Paul B Just be careful to NOT take turns to tight. That generation of mustang, can lose control due to flaws. But. other than that, it's a great car.
I'm getting an 08 mustang today
I can't wait to get the car
been my dream car since I was a kid
+Golden Retriever congratulations man! I know you are going to have a blast driving it!
The Dutch Texan
Thanks I knew I'd love it when I first saw it
I'll settle for nothing else
I’m getting the exact same one on the 27th 😩 it only has 90k miles & it’s beautiful shape
It will be a blast! And a lot of aftermarket support too!
The Dutch Texan any tips you can give me or anything important I should know about this year mustang gt?
@@lifted9577 just keep up with the maintenance. Also, check the mustangforums, they are a wealth of information!

Larry Hunt how much are you looking to sale it??
Nice review. I'm actually picking up my 05 gt premium tomorrow, nice red with black racing stripes.
Nice! Have fun with it, I know you will though!
+The Dutch Texan It's amazing, loving the power, very fun car. Even with a 2005, it's still making heads turn. lol
thanks for your video. I'm in the market for a 05-07 and your comments helped! Prices are amazingly low. Probably bottoming out at this point. $9K will buy a nice one with 100K miles, which is not a lot of miles.
They got a way to go before bottoming out, but low mileage examples are going to be rarer as time goes on.
I'm buying
My first car soon mustang for sure, 02-05 not sure yet been looking at 05's my dads a mechanic, has been for 30 years.
+The Dutch Texan Thank you
Your mustang is beautiful I think the 2005-2009 was the best
I agree! But I am also biased... LOL!
Why year in particular do you think is the best though?
Hahaha!
i have
Are we talking current gen ponycars or old school muscle? Because when I hear muscle-car I think old school muscle like torino's, chevelle's, impala's and the like.
😱😱dude. That color though. Is you exhausted stock? Because it is really load it sounds so badass. And sorry If didn't spell exhausted right.
Don't worry about it, I knew what you meant! And yes, that is 100% bone stock! I'd say it broke in well, it seems louder now than it was when the car was brand new!
I've now got a 2007 GT thanks to your video!
Classic cars have original door-panels from the 1950's!
great video dude.
i enjoyed it alot
having owned a 2005 gt and now a 2010 gt stang
I knew a guy that bought a 2010, it was so much nicer inside than my 2005 mustang. It really shows how Ford has stepped up on their interiors from that point on. The new one is really really nice on the inside. I still think the first gen s197's look best together with the 2013-14 s197s
Cool Review, Nice Grill shot at 2:53 .
Thanks man! And it seemed like a neat shot. The thing that I was surprised about was the sound of the intake overpowering the wind noise. That was a nice bonus!
The Dutch Texan You almost cant hear the wind and that is amazing haha, but it was a really cool video!
Love this video... I got my first Mustang 05...so much fun
Awesome review, and of my favorite body style, great job man
Thanks! I had a lot of fun doing that review of my car!
Nice car you have there, I have a 2010 dodge challenger that's supercharged and a 1990 skyline gtr.
Thanks for the props. And nice set of cars! You should film those sometime!
Great vid for a prospective owner. Thank You !
+Dan Link no problem, it is my pleasure!
You can find them pretty well in that range. I just got an 09 GT/CS for 18k.
I wish I had the GT/CS front bumper. I still got a GT/CS - GT500 rear bumper in the attic. Never got around to get it painted and installed. Perhaps someday... $$$
I love every Mustang. My first and only car is my Foxbody. Never going to sell it.
I just spent a pretty penny getting mine back 100%. I should be good now for quite a few worry free Mustang miles!
+The Dutch Texan Some of my favorite cars. I haven't decided if I should get a 69' or 07' next.
Welcome to the world of cars... Where the wants are plentiful, but the choice is but a few! Love the '69 fastbacks, my favorite body style!
Lincoln town car and grand marquis has the same engine.
My sister drives my dad's old 05 impala and when he had it the passenger side had a little water leakage but we got it fixed really quick and it's been fine since. It might just be 05 year molded cars lol.
I just call it coincidence! I would have hated it if I got that water leak though!
The car had about an inch of flood water in it from a flood before the leak so we didn't mind that much
Do you watch 2theredline? It looked like a mix between your vlog style and 2theredline's reviews :)
Loved it though, and I'm amazed at how fast it actually is, I was expecting it to be a bit slower and heavy
I sold my 04 2v and now i have 2005 gt 5-speed i love it👌🏼👍🤙
Have fun with it man! I still love mine!
Great 1st review. Can't wait for the grand marquis.
That will probably be next! Either that or the 2012 Focus!
The Dutch Texan If you want to do a Kia Soul or a sportage, I may be able to get my Aunt and Uncle to supply the car(s)
I'd totally do a soul! It's the hamster car! Hahaha!
The Dutch Texan Yea! those TV adds. Those are some smart hamsters.
Whats yalls opinion on a yellow 2005 gt. I found a killer deal and want to purchase it this weekend. It has black stripes going down it.
In Dec 02, I paid 34k$ for my Cobra That barely buys a GT 5.0 now. Thats okay however, my Whipple makes it young at heart!
Are they reliable cars? I'm looking at an 05 mustang for 5k with 160,000 miles on it
As far as I know they can go far beyond 100K with good maintenance. But if it has been hot rodded it might not make it that far either. I'd beware of a car with that mileage, and expect some major maintenance items to come up. Check mustang-forums and ask the question, a lot of people over there have higher mileage mustangs and might have personal experiences to share.
im looking for like tht price but i want to get it by down payment
That's going to be hard at a reputable dealership.
This is our family car and I'm planning to buy it from my mom to own it myself 😋
Do it! You won’t regret it. Great classic looks!
just asking but do v8 2004 -2013 mustangs come with automatic
All those years have automatics for both V6 and V8 GT models. The only ones you can not get with an automatic are the GT500's (or the 2004 cobra for that matter). They all come equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission.
I had one just like this except it was a beige color
Everytime I hear peolpe talk sh*t about the 2005 Mustang GT and about the "cheap plastic interior", I want to slap them in the face! But I still love this car AND I'm getting one ^^'
It is one of the best performance deals out there. And the motor responds really well to bolt on mods!
TheRealZurkio Nah. That so called "Cheap Plastic Interior" feels very comfy to me. I can just chill, and talk. Juet like how a Grand Tourer should be.
Well I got the car and you were right I love it
Have fun with it! It's such a nice looking car imho! Just don't expect it to do wonders against newer cars, even a modded ecoboost will take you now. Hahaha!
The Dutch Texan
Oh believe me I don’t plan on drag racing it
I’d like to keep it as long as possible
Mine is my forever car. I am not going to get rid of it unless something catastrophic happens (which I hope never will).
The Dutch Texan
Mines the same
I plan to keep it till I die
I'm currently looking at an 05 with just 35k on it. So this definitely helped with that so Thanks!
No problem! I am glad my video was of some help to you! And at 35k miles she better be a cream-puff!
You can get door panels without the insert for $150-200 and never have to deal with that again. All the roush mustangs had the panels without the insert.
Essa é a geração mais bonita do Mustang 🔥
Concordo! Eu ainda possuo hoje! (Google Tradutor)

O 2005 Gt Amarelo é Top.
Nice review bro
+Mel Amador Thank you!
Getting my 2004 Mustang
+Hot Aranda those are nice!
Thanks bro i also like the 2005 Mustang
Thanks man! I love it myself! I wish it had the coyote under the hood though. That would make it perfect!
+The Dutch Texan nice how many cylinders is that Mustang
Mine is a GT, so a V8! (8 cylinders)
Do u still have your mustang gt
Yup, still got it! It isn't going anywhere!
Wow that’s cool 😎
2005 has a fantástic shape
I agree. The only thing better is the original!
so the dutch texan would you prefer this besides a 2002 mustang gt wich i own i think of an upgrade would i notice a diference nice review man do more do a 2002 mustang gt lol
There isn't enough of a performance gap to justify the cost.
by new edge yyou mean a 2011 to 2015 ?
No, the new edge is the name for the 99-04 Mustangs!
ok lol so you would stick with a 2002 mustang gt v8 4.6 i want to upgrade to a 2005 pontiac gto 6.0 400 hp
GTO's are awesome. Never driven one, but you can't go wrong with that V8 under the hood!
The stock pirelli's are gone in under 30k if you drive it like you should.
hearing that the tech and speedometer go out kinda pushes me away from these cars now :/
It's an 800-900 dollar repair at the dealership (mine is still broken). I personally am not happy with it either. The later models have different stepper-motors in the dash cluster and are supposedly ok!
aged pretty damn well for a 2005
Agreed 100%!
Good review buddy!
Would love a to own a Mustang but it doesn't make much sense here in the Netherlands..
would cost me an arm and a leg XP
And just going to buy myself this actual mustang model, found it at a Good, really Good price 💗😅
Have fun! It’s going to be awesome to drive!
nice review I really enjoy it! :D
Thanks Marc! I enjoyed making this video, so we both win!
Great review! :)
+FreznoVX Thanks man! I enjoyed making it a lot!
Thanks for this review .
Thank you for watching!
You are right I do want a v8 sound, but I just love the newer models mustang like the 2014. 2015 and up mustang don’t really appeal to me.
aswell im looking for a 2005 btw im finding ones for 4k canadian with 170k v6? good deal or no?
I do not know anything about prices in Canada, but it doesn't sound like a whole lot of money if the car is solid. 170k miles is a lot, but if it is 170k kilometers that should have plenty of life left.
hey im getting cuirious about this type of car for my first car, how much would be a good price to pay??
I bought an 06 for around 5800 bucks.
how many miles does your mustang gt have on it and how many before you run into problems
Some Mustangs are going on past 250,000 miles.
I want it as my first car, but should I get it Manual or Automatic?
I would vote for the manual, as it is a more connected driving experience! But an automatic isn't bad at all either, and you'll get off the line consistently too!
i have a 05 mustang GT with 55k miles, i love that thing! The Dutch Texan would you sell the gt500 rear bumper? I live near plano texas ill pay cash!$!$
Sorry, it's not for sale due to the fact it will end up on my own car sooner or later. Right now I have other priorities, but I hope to start modding my mustang by 2016.
im 17 and going to get a car soon , how do i convince my parents to let me get a mustang 😭
Simple. Tell them you won't race, won't do burnouts and won't do anything else that young kids like to do with rear wheel drive cars.
You forgot to mention wrapping it around trees or mowing down crowds. :)
NATURALLY! How stupid of me! Make sure you get a red one like mine OP! It'll hide any blood splatters on the car!
I laughed after the chevy slowed down in the other lane......ha!
Hoe ben je in Texas terecht gekomen ? Gave Video's !
Getrouwd met een Amerikaanse! En bedankt!
So you wouldnt rock the four banger in the mustang II? You have to admit, those cars are more pinto than mustang
This is already a year old?!
+TheZombaslaya I think it will be 2 years old this year! Times goes quick!
The Dutch Texan I feel like this came out last month
