Your decorations look wonderful! What a clever idea about the box while gift shopping. Quitting sugar is so difficult. It is literally in everything. I did it last year and I totally feel the different now. It is tough but amazing. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas ❄️
Christmas is pretty low key over here, but I always make a batch of sugar cookies (yep…. that dreaded ingredient ☠️😂). Dough is chilling now and will cut into trees. Currently reading The Wedding People and enjoying it!
The Yearling is so good! Glad you are enjoying it. I've just started the newest Osman - We Solve Murders. His books are fun reads! I'm also entertained by the Others series by Anne Bishop - just finished book 3 and started on #4 out of 5. It's an urban fantasy series with lots of wild beings as well as humans set in a world much like earth. Just escapist fun! Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy your time with your boys! They'll be grown before you know it 🙂.
So glad your new eating life is going well. I stopped sugar this year and i feel like you... do i really want to have Christmas goodies. But what i did (i was 6 months in) was had cake on my birthday but i made sure to have a protein heavy meal first. Then we took a nice walk after my birthday cake and then the next meal was protein/fat and i had no cravings. Granted we're all different but in the past the cravings have hit hard but i really think having a "deadline" and the walk and the protein/fat helps. I am going coffee free in January. I did that off and on this year but i really do love a hot cup of (GOOD) coffee (i blend Unsalted butter, no sweetener.. it's like having cream basically). And even drip i can't find a good decaf. My Nepresso has some good decaf pods of espresso that are good but i don't always want that. I hope your family has a Merry Christmas.
Sweet Decorations! I love the Yearling, also♥️ I just finished Kristin Lavransdatter and I think you would LOVE IT!🥰 visceral & raw & human. 14th century Norway. It seems like a Shelly sort of book. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🥰
I totally didn't think abt using the green garland i already have to make the tree look fuller. I'm going to go pull mine out now and do that from now on. 🎉🎉 Thanks for the tip
I'm a new viewer, but I'm so happy to have found your channel. I read 50 books this year! My favorite was Sparks Like Stars by Nadia Hashimi. Your decorations are lovely, what a cozy feeling. I'm curious about the eye shadow that you love. Can you share what that is?
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Shelly! You are my favorite youtuber/booktuber I found in 2024.
@@KritterRaw that’s so sweet! Thank you!!

@@FlowerCityStitcher hi! Thank you! I’m wearing the Rabanne mini eye shadow palette in “all lights on me”. 😌
The tree is a “Permanent Tree” 🌲 as its ecologically sound and sounds less sad (a real tree in nice, but not always feasible).
So true! Thanks for that little nugget of wisdom/truth.
😊🏆🏆
🎄Merry Christmas everyone 📚
Merry Christmas!!
Hi Shelley. Would you try being vegan in Veganuary?
Maybe one day!
