Anyone else never feel the so-called "B&M rattle?" Like seriously, I have no clue what people talk about when they say that -- These are consistently some of the smoothest rides out there.
It really doesn't exist, it's just coaster enthusiasts have to bitch about something. They can make a really good ride into an ok ride because it's not fury 325.
Tyler Kriesel I agree but I legit hurt my ear on wildfire. It’s an older ride and it was in the back row so that’s probably why. Haven’t felt it on any other b&m’s
@@tylerkriesel8590 I mean, it exists. It's minor at worst, but it exists. And yes, Fury has a little bit of one too. And yes, I'd say other non-B&M steel coasters I've ridden, like Superman Ride of Steel at SFA, Verboltan at BGW, and Intimidator 305 all have a small rattle as well. I'd argue it doesn't detract from the ride, and if someone says it does then I better hope they hate wooden coasters so that their opinions are at least consistent.
Nice to see Superman: Krypton Coaster finally getting a good mention somewhere. It always seems like everyone forgets about it for some reason. Fiesta Texas was my home park growing up and that coaster specifically was always the highlight of my summers.
I’ve ridden Hydra several times since I go to college right near Dorney. It’s better in the back. The middle knocks your head around a little but I didn’t have any problems with the rattle. That jo jo roll is also pretty unique. I was so confused what was happening the first time I rode it. I plan on riding Bizarro in a few weeks.
Only floorless coasters I’ve ridden are Superman Krypton and Kraken I think these are the top 2, with Superman being 1 I always get smooth rides on Superman I don’t know what happened to you
My favorite floorless is Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando, and plus it has a fantastic first drop and it's second half is so well with a second vertical loop and a tunnel before a corkscrew before hitting the brakes
Just found your channel tonight and have been loving the videos. I have just over 300 credits myself, but a lot of your views and opinions echo my own. I'm sitting here saying, "This guy thinks like I do about this ride, like that ride, oh and that one too." Keep up the great work man. And I'm thinking Firebird is going to rank at #11. It's such a small, old ride, and it's now on its 3rd life. I can't see it being much more than what it is. So many people think SF Great Adventure should turn Green Lantern floorless. They won't with Bizarro already there. And speaking of Bizarro, until recently we had Bizarro North and Central (or South) on the East Coast when they renamed both Medusa and Superman at SF New England. I hated that call. I was like, why can't they give it a longer name like Bizarro and Bizarro's World, for example. Make them stand apart. Good old SF.
I will be going to six flags fiesta texas soon as it was my first ever theme park. haven't been there since i was 6 and it has changed a lot since then. I have high hopes!
I’ve ridden 3 of them so far, and Medusa is my favorite. Scream has been riding really smoothly lately, and is this much more enjoyable than it was before. Rougarou was a lot of fun, but had a few odd, rough transitions in the second half, thus making it my least favorite floorless. I haven’t ridden Patriot yet.
I can't wait to ride some more of these. So far I've only ridden Scream and Dominator. Dominator definitely had the cooler layout, but was much rougher in my experience.
So far I've only been on 5 floorless roller coasters. My favorite of them is Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando followed by Superman: Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Dominator at Kings Dominion, Scream! at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and finally Rougarou at Cedar Point.
I've only ridden Kraken once, but it gave me the worst headache and I was super dizzy. Had to take painkillers and drink a ton of water, spent around 2 hours sitting down before I felt remotely better. Front row too.
Bizzaro has the best zero-g roll ever and combined with the interaction in the second half makes it my favorite. Scream is truely hideous with it’s new paint job. That knocked it down for me when they repainted it several years ago.

I think Bizarro is my favorite. Since it’s at my home park, Ive ridden it the most and I really love the Zero G Roll and theming. It also tends to always be running three trains and has the shortest lines. I haven’t been on your top 3, and will need to pay more attention when I ride the others again, particularly Dominator. Rode Hydra recently and other than the jojo roll, thought it was pretty meh.
I'm seldom able to ride Rougarou without experiencing at least a little headbanging (or perhaps "ear-banging" would be more accurate). I've learned to bring along a plain terry cloth headband when I go to Cedar Point. While heading up the first hill, I put on the headband and pull it down enough to cover my ears (I also do this for Raptor). It makes a difference. Kraken sounds like a fun ride. Maybe someday...
Meanwhile, I have what is probably the world's smallest floorless right in my home park Tivoli Gardens. Unfortunately, it's super underwhelming and only has one interesting element, which is a very small but whippy zero-G roll. The rest is just "weee, I guess"
I used to always handle Scream very well as I’ve ridden it several times last year, but now this year having ridden it a couple of times, it felt pretty shaky. I’ve always thought that if the shoulder bar was tight enough I wouldn’t have this issue, but didn’t really make much of a difference. I guess I should sit in the middle instead of the side since that’s where I’d normally sit for any coaster like this. Hmm
Hydra was my first floorless. It definitely has a bit of a rattle but if you brace yourself it’s fine. My friend likes the corkscrew over the trench and I like the 0 G roll. My ranking is firebird which has terrible headbanging on the corkscrews, hydra because it rattles, dominator because it’s intense but also vibrates some, and Bizarro. It’s pretty smooth and less intense than Batman. It doesn’t make my feet tingle like Dominator.
Great video like always. I’m hearing many people say that most floorless coasters have a rattle. That might be why it has been a long time since a floorless coaster has been built.
Ok...so i must try Kraken. I loved superman for the quarry wall and that loop. My first time ever doing DK and what i found is that Medusa is my main love at the park. It was indeed smooth and fun as hell. As for the worse of being Scream? It's a meh...maybe because there's no theme, or anything exciting about it

"Floorless" refers to a specific B&M looping model where you sit on top of the track but there is no floor. There are also floorless trains on dive coasters but even those are a different category.
Did you forget about valravn, I understand that I’m two years late and that you could say valravn is a dive coaster. But dive coaster or not, it is still a floorless coaster, and with this in mind, I’m sure that there were other dive coasters not on this list even though they are floorless. The reason I noticed valravn is since cedar point is my home park, so I don’t know what other parks have dive coasters. But still, dive coasters mad by b&m should still be in this list since they are still floorless coasters. Edit: I’m not a coaster enthusiast so just tell me if I’m being dumb, however I don’t see what would make coasters like valravn and other dive coasters not eligible for this list, as they are floorless coasters.

For me, Batman will always be my favorite coaster of all time since my first ride on it in late August 2019. And besides, New England is my home park! Edit: It was also the first B&M I have ridden ever.
4 years later and I can tell you Kraken definitely need refurbishment. Where Kumba has remained smooth as butter Kraken as gotten inexplicably rough. Doing away with the horse collars in favor of vest restraints would help as it also a bit of a headbanger. Oddly enough even though Kumba also uses horse collars I got no headbanging on it but I attribute that to Kumba not having a layout that is quite as tight as Kraken's. Either way it was a far cry from the coaster I remembered 20 years ago and something of a disappointment to me on my Florida trip.
Out of the 4 I've been on here are my rankings: 1. Rougarou 2. Scream 3. Medusa 4. Patriot I haven't been on Scream for a few years though so if the rattle really has gotten worse, it'll probably move down to 4. Airtime Thrills I had a bad ride on Medusa I didn’t like it that much, I had a much better second ride, but it’s hard to forget that first ride, meanwhile Scream and Patriot are just bad lol, Medusa starts to grow on me the more I think about it but it’s in the bottom half of 60 Coasters I’ve ridden
Only one I have ridden so far is Rougarou...wasn't impressed with it. Going to SeaWorld Orlando in early February. Hopefully Kraken will show me how good a floorless can be!
Agreed. Scream is a bad ride. It literally is the opposite of everything I look for in a good coaster, and would it kill them to place a few more trash cans and benches to add to the theme?
1:03 Thats why you thought this ride sucked, you sat in the back. Rougarou is AWFUL in the back, the front three rows are WAY smoother and don't knock your head around as much either. This was also the same when the ride was Mantis.
Rougarou Kraken Bizarro Scream Dominator Hydra Firebird I don’t think any are significantly smoother or rougher than others. I like Rougarou most because the layout lacks redundant inversions and the setting of the ride. Also has some airtime moments and i never bang my head in the back.
Yeah scream is a parking lot coaster mad it has a dumb name, but don’t trash talk it for it’s setting and it’s “rattle” I agree, it is a parking lot coaster, but TC is as much as a parking lot coaster as Scream is, and it doesn’t get trashed for that, although, I found out that the way to get rid of the B&M rattles is to keep your head back, I did that’s on Batman: The Ride; Riddlers Revenge, and obviously scream, these rides are hella smooth if you just keep your head back, and with that in mind, you don’t need to bring Advil to Six Flags anymore
I'm pretty sure roller coasters are very subjective. I get a strong b&m rattle from Kracken but nothing of the sort on Hydra. Just like how some people get a strong rattle on the B&Ms at Kings Island. We all prosess rides differently.
I've only ever ridden Medusa (pre Bizarro re-theme), Hydra and Scream. The first two were awesome and still rank among my favorite coasters I've ridden, but Scream was such a disappointment. I don't even remember a huge rattle (this was way back in 2005), but it was such a boring experience I didn't want to re-ride it.

Scream is really not that bad. The name and location don’t really affect the ride experience, and I found it completely smooth in the front few rows.

Northern Rides it’s such an iconic ride though! They placed a floorless coaster in the middle of downtown! It’s compact but so fun!!!

Rode kraken the other day in the back row and greyed out and saw stars after the first loop, pretty good ride though 👍🏻
Agree on Kraken, also miss the old color scheme on medusa (bizarro). Now there's only 1 medusa but still 300 different batman and supermans

Scream is pretty solid, aside from the parking lot and name. Yeah there is a rattle, but it's a slight one.
I like Scream more than any floorless in Cali tbh

Airtime Thrills I had a bad ride on Medusa I didn’t like it that much, I had a much better second ride, but it’s hard to forget that first ride, meanwhile Scream and Patriot are just bad lol, Medusa starts to grow on me the more I think about it but it’s in the bottom half of 60 Coasters I’ve ridden

Only one I have ridden so far is Rougarou...wasn't impressed with it. Going to SeaWorld Orlando in early February. Hopefully Kraken will show me how good a floorless can be!
Agreed. Scream is a bad ride. It literally is the opposite of everything I look for in a good coaster, and would it kill them to place a few more trash cans and benches to add to the theme?

1:03 Thats why you thought this ride sucked, you sat in the back. Rougarou is AWFUL in the back, the front three rows are WAY smoother and don't knock your head around as much either. This was also the same when the ride was Mantis.

I don’t think any are significantly smoother or rougher than others. I like Rougarou most because the layout lacks redundant inversions and the setting of the ride. Also has some airtime moments and i never bang my head in the back.
Yeah scream is a parking lot coaster mad it has a dumb name, but don’t trash talk it for it’s setting and it’s “rattle” I agree, it is a parking lot coaster, but TC is as much as a parking lot coaster as Scream is, and it doesn’t get trashed for that, although, I found out that the way to get rid of the B&M rattles is to keep your head back, I did that’s on Batman: The Ride; Riddlers Revenge, and obviously scream, these rides are hella smooth if you just keep your head back, and with that in mind, you don’t need to bring Advil to Six Flags anymore

I'm pretty sure roller coasters are very subjective. I get a strong b&m rattle from Kracken but nothing of the sort on Hydra. Just like how some people get a strong rattle on the B&Ms at Kings Island. We all prosess rides differently.

Wildfire at SDC is The best floorless coaster I’ve been on. Better than Kraken.
After reading through the comments I guess Wildfire is not a floorless coaster, had no idea.

Dude scream is fun and it has no rattle and the fact that it is a parking lot coaster does not mean it is a bad ride

I've only ever ridden Medusa (pre Bizarro re-theme), Hydra and Scream. The first two were awesome and still rank among my favorite coasters I've ridden, but Scream was such a disappointment. I don't even remember a huge rattle (this was way back in 2005), but it was such a boring experience I didn't want to re-ride it.
