I bought about 20 small bins from dollar tree and I put all of my doll clothing and accessories in them and then i sorted everything. It took awhile, but it works well:) And for my bigger accessories I have storage bins. Hope this helps someone!! ❤Zoe
Loved watching the video. You were a very creative little girl 🙂 That is totally the fun of dolls and play(imagination) food and exercise for the mind(brain)🤓 Thanks again for sharing! And yes, I would love to see your dolls fall wardrobe.
If I dug through the totes full of ziplock bags I could show a ton more doll crafts! I loved making stuff for my dolls as a kid and still do! It was so fun. When I had Barbie’s as a kid I made a lot of stuff for them as well
Why is this so relatable? 🤣 I’ve gone through my dolls’ stuff time and time again (have moved a few times), but I just get more. Their stuff takes up so much room! I like having a dollhouse because then I don’t have to store it all…but I still have a lot of totes and a full closet, too. I loved seeing your collection, especially the cardboard furniture. Absolutely keep the AG clothing box dresser! That is so creative!
It was great fun to see your doll stuff! The cardboard furniture is impressive and remindeds me of the ones I had as a child!🙂 The best storage I have is from Walmart. They are three upright sets of three pull out drawers.( nine drawers in all) Gives me easy access to historical clothes/dresses/skirts and shorts/sweaters and jackets/pants and tops/hats/boots/shoes/other accessories! I do not collect other than dolls and attire for lack of space. The doll's are stored in glassfront shelves. I love that you are sitting in front of your girls when you open the video. I never, ever tire of seeing other collectors dolls-yours are beautiful! Thank you for taking the time to share with your viewers!❤
Upcycling AG boxes is a cute and fun way to keep them around for awhile while getting use out of them as well. I used to have a couch made out of AG boxes too
Also I collect American Girl and Barbie and I definitely recommend the drawer method. I have shirts, pants, shoes, and accessories all separated in different bags with the air sucked out of it. It's definitely helpful for American Girl more so than Barbie.
It's very organized! All of my doll stuff is just shoved into drawers and boxes with no organization whatsoever. 🤣 (And yes you should do another what my dolls are wearing for fall video)💖 -Sophia
One way to store your outfits is in labelled Ziploc bags, (the smaller, the better), with an index card included that lists the name and items in the outfits. You can use AG wiki to check and such. I think o would put the books in a bookcase. They take up less space and are safer that way. Once you have the outfits labelled and in bags, you actually may want to take all the accessories into one small drawer unit, - one for hats, one for footwear, one for socks/stockings and one for hair accessories. If you have a spare small jewellery box, use that for their jewellery exclusively. This way you are able to mix/match and still recreate original outfits.
i love this video! those peacock chairs are veryyy nostalgic. i actually keep all my doll clothes in their og boxes - takes up an INANE amount of space but i love how it looks lol
Why did so many people have those chairs?? And we all got them at the most random places🤣 I wish I still had all of my doll boxes. But they do take up a lot of space!
I have plastic containers full of each dolls clothing. My dolls lay in their beds. I keep an eye on my dolls. I have 4 Our Generation beds. The rest are either American Girl bunk beds or single beds. I have a box for Courtney’s play sets. Then I have a few bins of generic clothing. I only kept the boxes that come with the old retired outfits. I can’t make anything without ruining the place. I have dolls in my bedroom, doll room and storage area next to the doll room.
I store doll items in stackable containers that I can carry anywhere. I have a lot of doll clothes. I have those in a separate small room. There are dolls in my bedrooms. The only furniture I have are doll beds, Kira’s hut and chairs.
This was really fun! I loved your little doll dresser made out of AG boxes. That was so cool!!! I don't have any good tips, as I just keep my AG clothes in boxes (like AG boxes, a big Vera Bradley box and a big shoe box that works well for storing boots). I do keep all of my PJs separate from my outfits now, as I have 14 pair of PJs for my 7 dolls (summer and winter), and they take up a lot of room with the slippers. I also keep all of the shoes in a separate box. And I keep all of the outfits (minus their shoes) stacked together with all of their pieces together by outfit. Ok, so I guess I do have a couple good tips after all. :)
@@nowandforeverag Yes, I think you do still enjoy being crafty. :) I'm sure you will figure out the best storage situation for you, all in good time. :)
This was such a fun video to watch! I love looking at people’s full collections and seeing how they store it all! I’m struggling with space right now for my collection in our new apartment. But I’m hopeful when my boyfriend and I move into a house that I’ll have a doll room/office for all my collection and the dollhouse I’ve always wanted!! Im so jealous of all the furniture and “stuff” you have for decorations in your dollhouse. 😂
Sorry are we the same person?? I’m literally waiting until my boyfriend and I buy a house as well and I’ll have room for all of my doll stuff. And have my dream dollhouse. I have it all planned out I just have to do the measurements. We have to get a house with a basement and a big garage. The basement for my doll stuff, the garage for my boyfriend 🤣
@@nowandforeverag Oh my gosh!! We must be!! 😂 I have my dream dollhouse all planned out too! Down to the wall colors! I really want to have a whole doll room so I can section it off to my collection, my filming area, and an editing area! YES TO THE DOLLROOM AND BASEMENT FOR BOYFRIENDS. Where else would he play his games and chat on discord with his buddies in peace?? 😂😂😂
Don't be embarrassed. There are many collectors out here, myself included, who have your struggles and too much stuff, although I don't really think it's too much. 🤣
Hi, Now and Forever I can tell The big bins are not good for the American dolls. I bought use American dolls. The person who sell them, told me, they where in her basement for years. When i went back my house i put them beside the closet. but in a few mins i could smell them in the air its was like a smell of rust. Cause the person who own them before, me wrap them in bubbles wrap and also their clothes in the same bins. Now everything has the smell. I dont know how to wash all this. Anyway. Oh also Now and Forever i sent you a request friend in your instagram. Thanks you. Have a nice week-end.
I wish i had advice on washing dolls and getting the smell out! You could try removing the stuffing and letting that air out, but I don’t know if that would work
Hi, Now and Forever I try with a sponge and a bit of Dawn dish soap (The blue color one) and Arm and Hammer Baking soda. I washed softly the arms and legs. I took shampoo Garnier repairing shampoo (I wash 1 time) the hairs of the dolls. I think its a bit better cause also i bring them a bit outside with me for walk lol in a mesh bag. But the smell is there a bit. If its too hot and humidity in the house the smell come back, I notice. I wish you can do a video show us to replace the stuffing and what kind of new stuffing to use for dolls. For the clothes dolls i wash soak them in the sink with Dawn dish soap some of the clothes dont smell anymore and some change colors tissus depend what kind of tissus its was and the odor still there even washed. You have to be careful for the colors tissus like one its was blue light and it turn completly white. Thanks you very much to answered me. Have a nice day. 🙂
Leave your doll storage tips here!
I make closets out of the doll box with a dowel to hang my clothes on
I aspire to a clothing dresser. What I have are ziplocks.
I use the plastic dresser like thing from Walmart

@@myamericangirldoll2020 That's SO smart!!!
It's always helpful to get ideas from how other collectors store their "stash". It can really take over your space!
Definitely!! I definitely recommend totes for the “stuff” not so much the dolls. They fit a lot and can just be out of sight

That’s exactly what I want to use for my doll clothes in the future. I know it will be much easier for me that that dumb tote🤣

Interesting! I couldn’t even tell you how my stuff is organized 😅😅
I didn’t think my stuff was organized at all but a lot of people seem to think it is😅🤣
The picture you drew from as a child is sooo cute. You should totally keep it and hang it in your room. 🤗

When i have more space I will totally use drawers. It’s just so much easier and convenient. I cant wait for that day🤣
This was interesting to watch and helpful for the future since I don’t have **nearly** as much as you do 😂
I always forgot how much stuff i actually have! Since it’s all put away and out of sight

I’m so surprised people think it’s organized! It seems so “thrown in totes” to me. But it works for the time being!
