Hi Ria, No need asking...I can see that you and family are having a wonderful time. Oh, how nostalgia sets in when I reflect on this kind of life- growing up in Tobago! God Bless!

WOW I can smell the fragrant all the way home and it is cooked like wedding house. I am sure it is one of the best tasting spinach. I love this one. Enjoy.

What a coincidence Ria. Yesterday I cooked some Chorai bhajee too🥬🥬🥬🥬. It springs back up for itself every Summer July-October in my dads garden. he grows both a green variety similar to the one cooked in this video but also a red stemmed (the leaves are brownish greenish reddish in color as well) It grows in abundance and he calls me to collect a mountain of bhajee😱 to clean and cook and he insist I load it with tomatoes, plenty pepper and garlic. Thankfully my son helped me take off the leaves and set aside the young stems) but washing it was a pain, I had to wash it in batches🥴 I had the largest trini aluminum pot and I started cooking, just had to wait for every batch to wilt down and then more was added to the pot. you also have to wait for all the liquid to dry down since mine had lots of fresh tomatoes. I also love it with hot sada roti exactly what you showed in the video perhaps with a little lime pepper sauce. My mum complains like crazy for daddy keeps picking so many batches over the summer period....I feel the same😭but the outcome is always rewarding😋😋 So its sada, daal rice and chorai for everyone... my kids were like please don't put too much pepper eh. I'm like learn how to eat like a true trini, the pepper not overbearing but its a nice pepper flavor, they have to adapt 🤣🌶🥬🌶. I know a lot of people run away from mustard bhajee , chorai bhajee , saijan bhajee , poui bhajee, my ajee once talked about pumpkin bhajee. I'm sure our ancestors could add to the list . Dasheen bush bhajee is my number one but sadly not available where I live, when we visit NY I always purchase 2 bundles and when I visit Tnt I eat as much as I can. Thanks for sharing this lovely video💯💯💟🙏!! so much nostalgia and childhood memories seeing the clothes line and all the fruit trees. These trips back home are very therapeutic for our souls. ❣🙏🙏🙏
