Hey Brad! Loving the content lad keep it up! As an Aussie living in Canada, lamb is 100% an underrated meat. Grew up on it, its delicious! Bugger the haters, we need more lamb videos!
Aussie here! I'm located in Melbourne and I can highly recommend a butcher here called "the meat inn place" located in Lilydale approx 40 minutes from the city. They've won countless awards for their kabana, sausages and bbq! They also run bbq classes and their store is stocked with all your smoking and bbq supplies ❤️
I loved lamb since the first time that I tried it at a fancy restaurant and my family was giving me weird looks when I said it tasted so good! Now every time I see lamb on the menu, I always go for it just to see the different ways to prepare it
I’m in England and lamb is a staple. It’s at its best on the bbq. Nice to see Americans understanding what they are missing out on. For me, salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary on lamb is all it takes
lamb is pretty often used in arab style bbqs. we mainly use the lamb leg and make skewers out of them and cook them hot and fast and they turn out super delicious
I agree. Lamb is not gamey at all. My (late) aunt and uncle had sheep on their farm in Alberta. My grandmother made lamb and I tried it once, and I've loved it, ever since. When I made lamb, it wasn't gamey tasting either. That looks great. Cheers, Bradley! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Adam Ragusea has a good video explaining where that gnarly flavour comes from. It is typically on older sheep meat, but it can definitely be pretty strong and off putting.
Lamb is the best. My favourite meat. We love our Lamb here in Australia. It is so versatile. Would love to see more Lamb videos and would love to see you come to Melbourne Australia and do a BBQ class
As someone who doesn’t eat pork, I make lamb ribs quite often and it’s a huge hit with my friends. Another lamb cut that I highly suggest smoking is lamb neck. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
1:15 Dat's us thanks for da shout out Chud's ain't nothing better than smoked Lamb Love your channel, Love your recipes. Much respect from Porirua city New Zealand🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
From Sydney Australia here - plenty of local butchers have a decent range of lamb cuts, all depends on who is closest to you at the time Did some ribs a few days ago, bloody fantastetic -was very close to your recipe but I glazed them with a mix of honey, sriracha, golden syrup and bbq sauce. Mixed that into a metal tub and put onto the bbq for the last 10 mins of the wrap stage to warm it up, unwrapped and back on the grill dolloping the glaze on twice maybe 10 mins apart Off and rest a bit - looked incredible and the taste was spot on - I prefer a proper bite not how most places here serve it where the bones just slide out - so a delicious chew getting the last of the slithers of meat from the bones - gobble gobble yum yum. Gonna have to raid the butcher again for this one… lamb ribs for me any day over beef or pork
Rosemary, oregano and garlic are your must haves when seasoning lamb and a mint sauce as a condiment! You mentioned aussies and kiwis for their love of lamb but don't forget us brits 🇬🇧
@@duanehenicke6602- lots of choices available, you don’t use them all at once - ewwwww, just like there’s lots of different seasonings for various cuts of beef, pork, chicken, fish, and numerous other forms of protein. Sometimes even a little salt and pepper is all that is needed depending on where you want to take what you are cooking that day A good piece of lamb is my preferred choice of meat - being an Aussie we are spoilt for choice
Most lamb is really mutton, some of this has a gamey taste and aroma. Us Australians would rather have Lamb Roast than sex, all it needs is some real garlic and rosemary to make you yum.@@duanehenicke6602
Love the loin chops from Costco. Warm some olive oil, helps to draw out the garlic flavor vs cold. Add chopped garlic n fresh chopped rosemary, place in ziplock n marinade all day then grill rare on coals 😊.
As an Aussie I absolutely love lamb and love watching your channel, so much that I made my own chud press and use it all the time. I make my own lump charcoal. Next project would have to be a chud box, unless you want to donate one to me 😂. That would be awesome cos I can't get delivery on one. Keep up the great work buddy 👍
Aussie here, love Lamb, so good! As far as BBQ suppliers go, my go to place is Smoking Log Co, they're local to me, but also sell online. Natural Smoke also has a range of rubs and stuff that they sell online along with their smoking woods. Or another alternative is Stagg & Co. They manufacture/wholesale a lot of the local Aussie rubs, and I'd imagine pretty much every BBQ store in Australia already deals with them. Might even be able to do a deal with them where they make the Chud Rub here in Australia rather than shipping it over?
Try the Lamb shoulder on the rotisserie, the rendered fat just continuously bastes the meat. Lovely. Whole Lamb on the spit is a favourite in Perth, you can hire the spit roaster for the day from a lot of local butchers.
I'm assuming that Mighty Joe Y isn't going to just drive 17 hours to hang out at the Chud shop for some lamb ribs. Something is coming, and I'm excited and can't wait. Love ya Bradley. Keep'em coming please.
Lamb is my wife and sons fav. I can't go past beef ribs myself. But our local supermarket has lamb rubs, pre-marinated and cut into singles. Cook them on the weber kettle with a vortex takes about 40mins👌👌
BBQs and More for NZ, speak to Tom! Great dude! Gotta get some of your stuff in there, they already stock BBQ Pit Boys... Tom when I spoke to him last was keen on your Chud box too!!!
Myself and youngest daughter both love lamb. The 3 other kids and wife don't. We think that they're missing out. Keep up the great work from us here in the PNW!
YESSS!!! MOAR LAMB CONTENT PLEASE! I normally find and get the lamb breast he mentions in the beginning and those are absolutely spectacular! Rich, decadent, and fantastically delicious smoked!
Nice Whites Stripes aka Dolly song. Jolean is a great song, lamb is also great and ppl get weird about it. I think lamb is delicious and them smell when cooking its out of the park! Cheers
You definitely need to get in touch with Trent and Cassie at Smoked BBQ Co on the Gold Coast QLD Australia. Great family business, country wide distribution, and boy do I want somewhere to get a Mini Chud Box and Chud Press, not to mention Chud Rub and some Chorizo mix!
Lamb 🤤 Warwick Qld Australia has an awesome BBQ restaurant (Bluebird) that sells some stuff and also an independent shop that sells BBQ stuff along with wood fire heaters (Downs Heating and Cooling). Absolutely love my Chud press so would definitely line up for a Chud box 💕
Aussie here. Que club may be what you're looking for in a distributor. Also if you come down I'll be at any and all classes 100%. Lastly, cooking lamb without rosemary is pretty much sacrilege.
Ironwood Smokers is a place I get a bunch of my bbq needs from in Brisbane, QLD Australia. Also maybe Superbutcher, they have quite a range of rubs to buy in store.
Lamb is an Aussie favourite. Going to have to try these Brad but also cooking a whole leg of lamb this weekend on my smoker which is similar to your off set smoker. Let ya know how it turns out. Richard March Perth Western Australia. Give us a shout out on your next vid mate!!🇦🇺🇦🇺
We eat a lot of lamb. If you can butcher a deer, consider buying lambs from local farms or auction and processing yourself. Its very cheap and easy. We did 4 lambs this year. For reference our lambs avg 93lbs and cost $160 each. With a bone-in yeild around 60lbs + lamb stock and lamb tallow. Local home-processed lamb taste better than anything you get from New Zealand thats shipped halfway across the world.
Lamb is beautiful meat and about to come into season here in the UK over the next couple of months. Fresh grilled mackerel is absolutely beautiful too!
Looking forward to the lamb shoulder video, we normally do ours pulled. Also definitely keen for your products in Aussie-lambed and would definitely attend a bbq class!
I'd love to get a Chud box in Australia, we have a few places that sell BBQs here. Barbecues Galore is probably our biggest BBQ chain, and Bunnings Warehouse is like our Home Depot that sells all sorts of things needed for your BBQ and outdoor cooking in general along with plenty of other stuff
Wife and I made Lamb last night on the ol webber for V-Day. Made some Mint chimichurri and it.... was.... delicious! Watched your older videos as a good refresher/reference so I didn't screw em up!
I don't see lamb ribs very often at my local HEB, but I love their lamb chops. Look like small beef T-bones. Back in my college days, I rolled sardines in seasoned flour and fried them. Bones should try it. My wife of 46 years still thinks I'm BS ing her!! I'm gonna do it one time just to prove it!! Love all your videos--keep it up.
Great Video I love Lamb, it is one of my favorite meats. The gamey taste reminds me of venison, which I also love, lol. How long did they go back on the pit for? What internal temp did you get them to when wrapped?
Not just Australians and New Zealanders, you need to journey into Native America. Especially the Navajo Nation where lamb is our number 1 meat preference. Nothing is wasted from a fresh butcher.
Hey Brad loving your work there boss . Down here in Aussie and NZ lamb is a staple but i prefer mutton or hogget ( older sheep) it has a stronger more gamy taste . You'll have to come on down and give it a try . Keep up the good work. Cheers
Did lamb ribs 2 days ago, I was saying the same thing - why the hell dont people cook more lamb. just did salt pepper garlic paprika onion and a little dry mustard.
As someone who has grown up with lamb as a staple meat.. Have no idea what you mean by game flavour with lamb.. nowhere near it.. venison has a game flavour.. One thing is for sure, You will certainly be very pleased with the quality of Australian meats.. lamb beef and pork is something we do very well here.. and would love to see some chud products down this way..
Hey Brad, come down to Australia's biggest Low and Slow BBQ festival called Meatstock! Also, try and get your rubs into a place called Barbeques Galore. There is plenty all around Australia
I love that you're doing lamb again! Screw the haters! We lamb-lovers (even this American one!) greatly appreciate it!
Indeed. Not sure why a lot of americans say it has a game taste, it has nothing of the sort. It just has a lot of flavour.

I’m in England and lamb is a staple. It’s at its best on the bbq. Nice to see Americans understanding what they are missing out on. For me, salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary on lamb is all it takes
Lamb is our favorite red meat. Super flavorful and you don’t need a ton of it to enjoy it.
lamb is pretty often used in arab style bbqs. we mainly use the lamb leg and make skewers out of them and cook them hot and fast and they turn out super delicious

I really like it but it CAN be gamey. I’ve had it both ways.
Love the taste of lamb but I've bought racks before that had a foul smell before cooking. I almost didn't want to cook them because of that.
Adam Ragusea has a good video explaining where that gnarly flavour comes from. It is typically on older sheep meat, but it can definitely be pretty strong and off putting.
People haven’t had good domestic lamb, there is a huge difference between domestic and imported meats.
Mmmm. Lamb. Good!
...meat with flavor before seasoning... is never a bad thing.
Lamb is the best. My favourite meat. We love our Lamb here in Australia. It is so versatile. Would love to see more Lamb videos and would love to see you come to Melbourne Australia and do a BBQ class
South Africans love lamb we will put a whole lamb on the Spit. Love your content. Keep it up

And fresh lemon. The French recon it's barbaric to use mint sauce, I even like mint jelly.
Sounds like you need lots of different seasonings to cover up the taste of lamb.

Here in South Africa we have lamb in abundance! One thing i cant get my part of the world is proper brisket..
I'm a fellow Texas transplant from the northeast, and lamb is my favorite meat. Love the lamb BBQ content!
As a brit we have tonnes of lamb and it's surprising how rare I see it used on the bbq. Fantastic meat, very underrated.

Great timing on this video...I just picked some lamb ribs up at my local HEB!
