    Early in the clip Cancellara is showing a lot of stress in the upper body going uphill, a sign of high effort. When he leaves Boonen on the cobbled section there is no sign of stress in the upper body. Signs that something isn't right and synonomous with riding a bike powered by a motor.

    • @danfuerthgillis4483
      @danfuerthgillis4483 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is because that piece of trash motor cheater was saving the battery for the big climb which he knew only a few riders would be with him. The seat tube motor actually slows you down if you freewheel, that's why you never see him freewheeling when he is going downhill. These motors have been around for many years so many people could of been using them for 15+ years now. It's also highly suspicious that he "retired" from cycling right before the UCI started doing full bike inspections including the team car bikes.

    • @UbzUnclemax
      @UbzUnclemax 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Exactly. Impossible to unsee once you've seen it. You clearly see him stumping when entering the climb and while following Boonen. As you say, he somehow had more of a rocking motion in his upper body during a lower effort than during his actual attack? Also, just look closely at his legs. He's stumping naturally and all of a sudden switches to a very smooth consistent circular pedalling motion. That is not natural at all and not even efficient.

      Not even a grit of the teeth too. Let's just say Boon is smashing out 600w or something for Cancellara to effectively double booms speed he would not just have to double the watts he'd have to do more. Speed is not linear. So let's just pretend Cancellara is pumping out 1300? And no sign of struggle. Not even getting out of the saddle.

    • @nicolasdelaforge7420
      @nicolasdelaforge7420 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Possibly, but If you know the history of cycling, Gimondi won in 1966 by over 4 minutes - even over Van Looy, Jansen, Altig - there were no EPO's or motors. In the decades of 1970 to 1990, there were 19 solo winners - it's not unusual to surge forward - Cancellara won by only 2 minutes, which is far from Merckx, Ballerini (over 4 minutes) and Museew (over 3 minutes). The one who rode away in a unatural way is Froome in the mountains of the Tour, dropping Contador and the very best climbers, as if they were standing still. Froome's team received hidden deliveries of motor bikes from Hungary.

    Pretty funny to have an analysis from somebody who clearly doesn't know 'the muur'. Boonen did not bonk there, he just reached the max gradient of the muur. 20% and he sustained 900Watts there. THat's not "bonking' lol. Cancellera supposedly had to push 1450Watts from the saddle to ride away like that from somebody who is pushing 900W. 1450W from the saddle at the end of the Tour of flanders? Nuff said ...

    At 11:30 Cancellara uses his right index finger to press a small button underneath the right shifter- just where the shifter meets the handlebars- to activate a motor capable of delivering >100 watts for short periods.
    And this is when he drops Boonen, effortlessly.

    One of the most important clues is how he had his "mechanic" at several points in a stage ready to take his bike and give him a new one, even though there was nothing wrong with his bike. This was seen several times within stages and the same person was always there to do the bike swap and take his old bike away. I guarantee that's what he was doing having someone take the used bike away so that person would remove the seat post battery, remove the wires to the bottle and then bring that bike back to the end of the stage to put back into the team car. This way the UCI would be checking a normal bike. Mechanical doping can be done only with a trusted mechanic since he has to hide the bike, bring it back to the end of the stage to the team bus, remove the bottom bracket, seat post, seat post motor, make it look legit and then put that bike back into the team car in case UCI officials check the bikes at the end of the stage. The key here is the first bike on the start does not have a motor, it is the bike switch where the e-bike comes into the picture. UCI was not checking for hidden motors for many years, so TT's and other races could have hidden motors used if used wisely no one would ever know. The arrogance of Fabian is what seals his fate on using motors, using them going uphill or blowing away from a pack of riders is idiotic and anyone with 1 eye can see what he is doing.

    First he picked a smoother path, the edge has more evenly paved stone. Second he is on high cadence, which later on in cycling more and more rider used the high cadence riding. Third he is on the newest wheels at the time, a carbon 303, later known as the best all around wheels for many years. Of course he stay in saddle for the most part of the climb, this is indeed more efficient on long climb.

    i think its a strong chance there was a motor here.... watching the effort Tom was sprinting hard out of the saddle on the climb focused just on holding the wheel but Fabian was still just sitting on the saddle there and opening up a huge gap on him at the very same time... and Tom was not really bonking that bad because he still held off the rest of the race by quite a large margin after being dropped there on the climb and then riding alone for 15k more to the finish in those cold conditions... if Tom was really just dropping off from being bonked he probably wouldnt have also so easily held off group 2 over the last part of the race...

    You didn't seem to understand the tactics of Breschel vs Boonen. Let me explain: You don't get any pace - and certainly you don't get "dragged up the hill" by sitting on the wheel at those very low speeds on the steep hills, but what you do get is to burn one of your matches if you try to follow someone at let's just say 160 bpm heartbeat, while Cancellara sits back at 145 bpm on the same hill. Hit Boonen with that treatment on 4-5 hills ends up tiring the guy so he can't follow Cancellara the first, second or third time Cancellara hits 160 bpm. You see?

    • @jesperschultz2727
      @jesperschultz2727 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      BTW: It's sort of the same tactics as we saw in the 2022 Tour when Pogacar had to follow the attacks of both Vingegaard and Roglic on the Galibier on the way to the Granon finish. Pogacar used a few too many matches doing that.

    Right on assessment. Boonen himself admitted to being on the verge of cramping. I was fortunate enough to have handled Cancellara’s bikes immediately after a few races- I was a videographer for Cervelo- he always rode normal team bikes. He’s a proud man and a motor would be disgusting to him. Also, the team mechanics would have nothing to do with this malarkey. They would talk and there’d be no secret any more. I am 100% certain that there was no motor ever under Cancellara.

Bet they were the lightest aluminum wheels he could find. Must have been softer than dog poop as soon as they hit the large stones. Man is sitting in front at a higher cadience on probably a full carbon fiber finishing kit.
