In this video I am riding with Fabian Cancellara in an event called Zurich to Zermatt, which is part of the Chasing Cancellara series. In the final km's of this event Fabian rips it up and I attempt to follow his wheel. Can I get on his wheel of his new BMC Teammachine R? You'll have to wait and see.

Cam, you did a hellova lot better than guys watching your video would do. My experience trying to hold the wheel of pros has never gone well and trying to hold the wheel of one of the greats? Respect.

The big thing that I notice right away is that stable pelvis goes completely out the window with the way he is attacking, his back is working with the pelvic sway to push more power smoothly to the pedals. He isn't hiding from anything and his spine is working.

Check out Greg LeMond's interview where he definitively states that riders have used motors. One tell-tale sign is a sudden ramping up of cadence when heart rate levels don't go through the roof. You can see in your introduction where Fabian takes off, leaving Boonen in the dust in Flanders. Boonen was chugging along, fighting the bike, whereas Fabian disappeared in a near instant. I don't care what you're doing here, but I take issue when anyone says naysayers are idiots. Ask LeMond what he thinks.
Just stumbled across this and loved it - cycled a few times in the French Alps and it is epic, every cyclist should do it. Mind you, at 56, I'm sloooooooooooooooooooooow lol

To me, it demonstrates how much of a person's cycling ability is tied to genetics. Fabian has so much natural talent that even 10 kgs heavier and off his pro level training, he's still an awesome rider.

Interesting to have a TH-cam video open just as it gets released and see the speed with which it gets 'views' and equally interesting to see how slowly they get 'likes'. Generally around 10 to 1 for some reason
