Those cold skillers aren’t helping as much as hibernal charms, which get multiplied by your +%csd and your -%ecr. They’re only boosting your (severely overkill) cold mastery which is already nerfed severely against sundered enemies. This would significantly boost your single target damage against bosses where your AR is going to get checked HARD, so every hit you actually land is going to hurt that much more.
@@diosdadojrlubiano7674 "hibernal" is the name of the top tier cold damage prefix mod. Thought since the build uses blizzard it benefits from the cold skillers
Better yet use a second account with a dedicated enchantress that has level 50+ and only max fire mastery so you get that fat 30k bonus damage and 500% bonus AR
This is such a cool idea using Ice to make a frost nova bow sorc. I probably would use demon limb for enchant and put the remaining points into static field and use a lightning sunder or if you can drop the faith and use infinity for higher player counts.
Ive done the Frost Maiden before. I had basically the same build except I used Fortitude for the fcr, all res, dmg, no need to use points into cold armor, and 12% dmg to mana to help with energy shield. Dual leech ring with plus to mana and all res, and soj for more mana. Nosferatus is just all around better than having 33% pierce...
Sorry but Nosferatu's is deninately not better! Every time you pierce you're doubling your damage and also getting another chance to proc the synergized Frost Nova. Your low physical damage means that life steal has a negligible effect. Also the max damage and dex are useful stats. You may say that slow and IAS are good stats but you're already slowing with the Frost Nova's and Holy Freeze aura and the 10 ias won't get you to a faster attack break point.
Cool build! Have you ever tried the mod project diablo 2? There are a massive amount of off-meta build possible and almost every skill is useable. I really think you'll like pd2. We need more great thinkers in the community :).
I have seen a lot of content of PD2 but haven't actually given it a go. I tried to stay away from mods in the past but PD2 seems to be done right so I might give it a go.
@@RNGesus_Channel Would be great to see what you can cook up! At the moment we are about one month into season 9 and the seasons usually last 4 months. The first 3-4 weeks of a season are the most active and most fun.
This is interesting and I'm going to try this out. A great bow will be faster than diamond, so you will only need 40 ias total (instead of 60) to hit max bp. One question though, does the pierce allow multiple frost novas to proc from the same arrow? If so, I wonder if Wisdom will be better than Nightwing's.
Follow-up here, since all the frost nova damage is based on synergies, it looks like skillers don't add very much. I will try with great bow, 2 fcr / res rings, fort, trang gloves, and wisdom. Should be able to hit max ias and 63 fcr bp.
The pierce allows for multiple procs, I actually had a wisdom ready to go for a comparison and completely forgot to put it on! Good thought on the Great Bow. Like most of these build ideas, I figure out a starting base but there is always min max improvements
Itd is super helpful for us, but it doesn't mean we will be hitting all the time. Ensuring we have a good amount of AR is only going to benefit our hit chance percentage. Don't want to be missing 50% of our shots.
@@MedawkyI'm pretty sure that's not true. AR will only offset enemy DR. So missing due to high enemy level will not be solved by having AR. The exception is bosses since ITD does not work on bosses.
Want to use a xbow on a sorc? Go enchantress, everything else is hogwash. Your pierce is low, your dmg is mediocre, your mana is an issue when teleporting (have to pot constantly), you don't have energy shield either. This build falls into same category as poison dagger/poison explosion necro, and even that build might clear faster since all necros have CE.
Like the arrow damage or the frost nova damage? The arrow damage after enchant is 1613-2011. But most damage is coming from the fully synergised lvl 22 frost nova. What the damage of that is I would have to calculate, I'm not 100% sure.
I use an editor to test/showcase new builds, it's not sustainable to have an idea and farm endless high runes for the idea to not work out. Most of the time when i'm playing the game it is online. I can appreciate seeing perfect gear all the time is not the reality which most players have access to, but the fact is most of these builds would work fine with the standard gear you can get.

How would you modify the selection of charms, thanks?
I intend on playing when I get a new PC.

Fun build. Demon limb will spare you a bunch of points into enchant for about as much AR (lvl 23 from demon limb)
Jst my thoughts, and using the 20 points maxing TK and the pumping ES
Great thought about the Demon Limb, I love that!

Love the idea of a sorc not using mana. Great vids dude!
crafted hit power gloves with 20 ias is prob best in slot cause it has a Frost Nova proc and knockback with the chance to roll dual res as well!

I’d love to see your build tweaked for pvp with doom and max cold armor synergy.
Would it be viable to go against a smiter?
Hmm pvp isn't really my area, but i'm very interested to see how it goes

Blessed Aim + Conviction? Raise attack rating, lower monster defence aaand less points into Cold Mastery as well 🤷♂️

Love it 🍻
Why put points into Attackrating, when your Weapon has "Ignore targets defense"?
Bosses mainly

I know the Mav set is cold based would it help?
bow is amazon only so sorc cant complete the set
Think u would be better with hustle armor
Would this work with a cold aura Pally?
I haven't played around with it on a Pally, but I would assume that without the synergies and cold mastery it wouldn't be the same

first you boo then you buff u and the merc. no need to thanks
Is there a reason not to play a nova sorc instead then ?
These builds are basically for when you need something different to do in the game
Pretty sure the whole point of these videos is to be off meta my dude 🤦♂️
So boring videos, always "perfect" items which means you play with a Diablo 2 editor

Definitely! I thought I did that, but maybe not?
