Pulling up individual searches to see what you're up against is pretty time consuming. Would be great if it was comparable to typical Google search research.

But is the quality of my videos so bad? Do you think I should continue or give up TH-cam forever? Thankful
Sadly m8 most of the people that "randomly blew up" where already signed with talent orgs, or have multiple connections coming out of collage. Its lone girl or whatever that channel was back in the day but all over youtube. The business realized how much money was here and there not letting it go to waste.

It depends on many factors, not only keywords. We can only guess how TH-cam algorithm ranks videos and keywords are only a tiny bit of that algorithm. -Helen

Great info! I really need some help with my TH-cam channel. I have a tech channel and I have just started posting again on my channel after 6 years, similar content as before. I still have about 30 000 subscribers. To my surprise I average around 50 views per video from my subscribers which means only about 0.1% are watching my videos. Iv read that you should average around 10% to 30%. I guess I’m wondering has my channels ranking/algorithm been downgraded because of the 6 years of inactivity so most my videos are not showing up on most of my subscribers lists. If so can it be fixed? thank you!
Do you folks bother to edit/add your own captions? At what point do we just trust TH-cam to get it right? I currently edit/add my own captions, but it can be time consuming.
We edit our CC but it's time consuming, right. But we don't just edit the auto-generated CC on TH-cam - we upload the video script in .txt format, let TH-cam auto-generate timings for it and then polish this file in Studio. -Helen

It's hard to say without looking closely at their performance. The thing might be in promotion they do for their videos or something else.

Why would the file name matter? Shouldnt the focus be on the YT title and description?
