yeah he was really stupid, like....why would you trust the floor on the edge of the hangar area, like....he should have gotten closer inside first before getting out; for someone that "tests" SC a lot, he sure sucks at the game

Every working Phase 3 mission I tried had a minimum two Polaris trying to kill the Idris, though the group I multiplay with had a fighter squadron and three manned Polaris 😊
Easy way to take it, grab a single person fighter, try to get close without dying and eject, Idris will stop moving, use sniper gun to open side doors and enter but be ready for a fight with a lot of NPC's.. I get it 7 out of 10 times this way, if your really smooth stay in the ship take out all the fighters (can be with help) then get at the ass end of the Idris past the shields and shoot the hanger doors open with the ship, fly into the hanger then use your ship to kill all npc's inside.
Taking the Idris bugs out the mission for the entire server. It's been bugged on every server my friends and i have been on. We haven't even been able to do the mission at all. It sucks.
Polaris has atrocious weapon capacitors and laughably small ballistic ammo reserves on its turrets. CIG released the ship prematurely, it is clear no adequate testing was done and feedback on Spectrum (with several hundreds of upvotes) was ignored. Add to that the fact that the Polaris is literlaly missing Captain's Quarters on release, and make your own conclusions. Just remember that this is year 12 of SC development, not year 1.
If only all the servers weren't broken this morning; I could get my last one. I managed to get it twice yesterday on first runs and then the missions started to shit the bed.
Literally half the things I wish to do I can’t because the game is unpolished. It really sucks cause there’s no proper way to test them when the devs spend more time working on ships then on making sure we can play

If you log on just accept the mission when it pops up, I got my first ticked off just running around getting ready, others blew up the Idris while I was still my hangar and still got the check mark for that one

Some people tell the hypothesis that if someone steals the idris, the mission gets bugged for that server shard. I wonder if thats true or not.

Stealing the Idris is what has been bugging out the mission for the server.
How long it takes to open Idris back ramp? How much damage it requires?

i wish the mission will work. lots of server hopping and everywhere is the mission broken.
