- Who am i to say which are the top 5 London wine bars but these are 5 of my favourite wine bars in London in no particular order. Some bars wouldn't let me film (I'm not sure why!) so those ones are no longer my favourites!

Great selection, but you missed the Cork & Bottle just off Leicester Square, which is fab.
This is probably one of the few times that saying "Your mom/mum" is just a compliment. She's wonderful!

Brilliant and up to the usual standard of excellence. Based upon your previous advice we visited Gordons on our last visit and quite enjoyed the ambience. I particularly enjoyed a choice Amantillado Sherry, my ever faithful companion drank rose. The cheese and bread were just the thing. Spot on for an afternoon's respite. Now thanks to you we have new adventures in London to tempt us and look forward to. Faithfully yours, Sir James and Lady Kathleen.

Having lost a bet, and the forfeit was a bottle of wine in Le Beaujolais, we ended up staying most of the day (funny thing is once you pay the forfeit, others buy further bottles of wine). Great wine and snacks.
Gordon's Wine Bar is also very quirky and unique.
My wine bar was the Cork and Bottle back of Coventry Street. Popped up for remembrance Sunday and was amazed it's still there... Went in and was amazed how much up market it had become cheapest bottle of wine was £30. Bought two glasses instead for £16. Wow so expensive considering the last time I was there was 1978 and a bottle of wine was about a fiver. Maybe that was the equivalent of £30 GREAT VID thanks.
Great video Julian, I really enjoyed it...so glad you did the wine bars! I just recently saw a program on vineyards in England, this has added to my list of places to visit. You always do something for everyone! Thank you...look forward to your next adventure! Take really good care....
Makes me want to go up town and have a good drink ! Went to a wine bar in Mayfair a couple of years ago but can’t remember the name or leaving the place lol. I like the Coal Hole pub along the strand ! So so many great drinking places in London ! Along the south bank popping into the pubs having a pint then moving on to the next one. Great vid as always.

I absolutely love your videos! Possibly a Christmas tour of London-Dickens or anything really. Its my favorite time of year there and Im missing it terribly. It was fun seeing the decorations and cheer at the bars! Have a wonderful holiday!

I love Gordon's but did notice a huge change in clientele from my visits of 2007 and 2015. Loved the cheese board and the port. Now I have 4 other wine bars to try on my next visit.

Like white Zinfandel. My grandfather who was an Italian immigrant used to make homemade wine like a lot of immigrants did in those days.

i only filmed in the places that allowed me to. Many of them are touchy about filming.
Thanks for introducing us to your Mum, she seems like a wonderful lady - Now what is the difference between a solicitor and a barrister? Here in America we just call of them Lawyers
They're similar these days but a barrister would be the one who stands up in court and argues. The solicitor is usually in an office.

i am more a sherry and port type and really not often some time i go a whole year not drinking , alcohol that is , when i was young i got close to being a serious drinker and i said no more , now its just if the mood is right and its a descent heavy tanning slightly sweet and deep bodied sherry or port , i love those deep tastes

Gosh, well any pub that has room! I liked the one at The Star Tavern in Belgravia but there are many!
I went to the Mayflower Pub which I seen in a video from you I had fish there tasted like they got it straight from the Thames with a rod also Primrose hill it was good
It's always a gamble with fish and chips!

It's a tough job but someone's got to do it. A chap goes into a wine bar with his dog and orders a White Burgundy for himself and says give the dog a Beaune. (Best wine bar joke ever?)
I was sat with my wife while I sipped on a glass of wine and said, "I love you so much, you know. I don't know how I could ever live without you."

My wife and I were queuing in my bank when a masked, armed robber pushed his way to the front and demanded all the money the cashier had.
