You can definitely catch a glimpse of eternity in Cantus Arcticus. It feels like the voice of nature itself manifesting in the notes that he allowed his pen to write.
I've taken more road trips to _Cantus Arcticus_ and John Mackey's _The Frozen Cathedral_ than I care to admit. Time really passes differently if you're listening to the right music.
@@ClassicalNerd Want to hear about Alexander Scriabin....saw a book in the background! Early works, the presence of Chopin; later, megalomania with his unfinished "Mysterium".....
I don't understand why you would provide background music of a really badly played Sibelius piano transcription- wouldn't it make more sense to let us listen to something by the composer in question?
Because of copyright. There are only a small handful of videos where I've been unable to provide background music by the composer due to such concerns-this just happens to be one of them. (Please do check out something more recent!)

I once met him, had him to autograph a CD of his music for a friend of mine. Very humble and friendly person ❤️
I listen to "The Journey", Symphony No 8. Final movement is victorious. Powerful! Manhattan Trilogy: youthful insecurities.
Truly one of the best Finnish composers!(as said by a Fin)
You make this real. Thank you.
Could you do a video about Maurice Ravel, your videos are so great and interesting! Thank you!
Absolutely! It's in the request queue.

Not even a "please" ... ?
Also Granados please, who composed Goyescas etc. (why does the musical establishment avoid him like the plague?
