Bangalore to Madurai Rameshwaram & Kanyakumari Road Trip I Meenakshi Temple I Pamban & Dhanushkodi
We started from Electronic City Bangalore for a 4 day Trip to Madurai, Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari which is one side 855 km km and total trip we covered 1610 km approx.
Day1: 1st day we stayed at Madurai and covered Meenakshi Temple coved 425 km.
Day 2: 2nd day we started from Madurai to Rameshwaram and Dhanuskodi and overnight stay there covered 175 km approx.
Day 3: 3rd day we started towards Kanyakumari which was 300 km from Rameshwaram took 6 hours to reach as NH32 in between was not good.
Day 4: We started from Kanyakumari 10 am and reached Bangalore 10.30 pm took almost 13 hours and the road was too crowded post Salem
and covered 650 km.
Total stay per family was total rs.6500 for 3 days and petrol expense for the car was 11.5K approx.
Total Toll charges for the Trip was Rs. 2050

you went till kanyakumari and you should have covered azimala which is just 2hr, padmanabhaswamy temple which another 1hr and jatayu park another 1hr. I regret how you missed this place

Thanks for your input but problem was that we were in a group with Senior Citizens and return date was also fix, so it was not possible for me to cover other places, yes may be one more spot we might have covered but that's situational..

Weather is hot and humid in Madurai and Rameshwaram but much better in Kanyakumari
