Put on a .1 estrogen batch and in less than 8 hours it was like someone turned on the lights after I had been existing in the dark for months. For some of us, it really is life changing.
I just turned 45 and have been suffering the last 2 years with so many perimenopause symptoms ,it's been living an absolute nitemare, from panic attacks, anxiety, inflammation, headaches, imsonia, hot flushes .....I started hrt 3 days ago and I have to say ,I feel really good and already notice a difference 😊amazing .
Just started progesterone less than 2 weeks ago and it was definitely a literal overnight change for me. I can Not begin to explain how much better I feel for the first time in at least 5 years, if not longer. Mind and body feels like my own again for the first time in forever!!!
Don't give up if you don't see the fast results. Overnight relief is not the norm for the average woman. You can see results in a week or 2 in terms of hot flashes going away, but if you have other symptoms like brain fog, forgetfulness and tiredness it takes time, sometimes motnhs before you get refielf or see any real results. Don't give up!
The night I started, the benefit was 2 hours extra sleep - waking at 7am instead of before 5am. Having not had a bleed in nearly 100 days, I had one a week after progesterone and 3 weeks after oestrogen. So far so good. I’m not keen on the gel though - may try the patch next just to see if it’s more convenient. Update:worked well for 2 months and then no period. I’ve since stopped HRT as benefit reduced.
@@rachelteeuws1241 I have gone to cardiologist to have it checked out. Benign. I’ve had these things for 3 years! It’s a toss up between low ferritin, low estrogen or anxiety. I have all 3. Finally working on all 3 problems
Same! I have panic & anxiety, heart palpitations, and get up all through the night. The mornings are the hardest & I feel super weird. On estradiol 1.5 gel & progesterone. Been a few weeks now.
@@hollysquietspaceyou might want to try the patch not sure what’s the difference but mist say they do well on patch. I’m definitely seeing improvement on all listed!
? Do you ever start women first on progesterone and testosterone before giving estradiol ? Some women are far more deficient in progesterone and testosterone moreso than estradiol.
I'm just scared of trying it because I have such a demanding sedentary job. Do I have anything to worry about? I got prescribed Prempro and it has conjugated Estrogen in it so I decided not to take it and asked for the Combi patch. I just don't want to get a blood clot that will immediately kill me.
I chose also not to start prempro due to the animal cruelty it takes to get the estrogen for us plus the patch bypasses our liver! I am not on the combo tho. I take progesterone pills at bedtime. But I love my patch so far!
so HRT is both estrogen and progesterone or it is one or the other ? What's in the patch ( and what brand is it) ? I am prescribed 0.1 levo & 0.02 ethinyl estradiol & probabably menopaused 8 years ago.
If I was a woman; I would not start standard HRT for women at 65. Standard HRT for women starts with Estradiol. Problem with that for someone at 60 plus; is you probably have been too low on progesterone and testosterone for way too long and estradiol only at your age could cause problems without other hormones That being said; you could start progesterone and maybe ever DHEA creams on your skin. Still best to consult a hormone clinic [ not standard doctors which take insurance] You can get blood work from a hormone clinic and see if you are low in DHEA and testosterone. Hormones like Progesterone, DHEA and testosterone are "higher" up the hormonal cascade. Estradiol while important is at the bottom of this cascade. Women can make estradiol from testosterone if they have enough; but most menipausal women are deficient in testosterone ( as well as progesterone and DHEA )
Can i take hrt for the rest of my life? I just saw my pcp dr she said don't take it for more than 5 years because it will cause breast cancer. Is there any documentation that I can show it to her that it is save to take hrt? thank you
Look into the history of that study. It has a lot of strikes against it. There are some good TH-cam videos explaining it. Dr Marie Claire Haver has a website that lists doctors in your area that have studied up. I found one that was super great at explaining my options/risks/benefits.
According to all the research that I’m been doing because I felt like I was in my death bed, I want to be buried with my patch on! Please look up Mary Claire Haver” The pause life” and you will gain knowledge to advocate for yourself and loose some of the fear!💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️

Amen!
I’m always fascinated by people who get this type of immediate result. It’s very rare and almost unheard of (except with Oprah). Congrats!
I put my patch on yesterday and I it is the second day and I feel happy. I didn’t know how unhappy I was till I felt this happiness again. 😂😂❤❤
Took close to 3 weeks and it has changed my life for thr better! Wish I started sooner..

I love progesterone it help me me sleep beautifully
I noticed some results in 2-3 days. Dramatic and awesome difference in 6-7 days!

Thank you for saying this - I’m 6 weeks in and it hasn’t changed my fatigue at all.
Which hormone helps with brain fog?
@@KatieJoMikell estrogen and testosterone.
@@melissaperrotta1054 are you taking testosterone as well?

The benefit is long lasting to bones, skin etc
Just started my HRT today 🥰
For me it worked right away probably within the first few days and then it got better and better.
Continue to have heart palpitations. Been on estrogen for 2 months 1mg. Increased estrogen to 1.5mg 3 days ago. Praying this helps
Maybe get that checked out.

For me it was immediate the symptoms were so bad prior. Cheers from Myanmar. You and Dr Haver are angels.
Ive been on prempro for 3 week and its making my symptom worse!
I know the feeling. I am about ready to stop taking my combo-patch
I started a mist based hrt and my pain level was better yesterday.
I really don’t have any menopause symptoms except dry skin. I still wanted to try 1 mg of estrogen with progestin. I hope this doesn’t backfire?!
I need to see my doctor and find out if I can start hrt. My body aches ..i went from being vibrant and energetic to feeling 100 years old 😢
Same here

Why painful breasts taking hrt?
Do you have to do a blood test before starting HT?
Has anyone tried the pellet? Im getting it bext week.
Can I start hrt at 65?
I want to restart HRT as I took it from age 51 to 55. Menopausal symptoms have resurfaced. I just turned 61, and gyn said no.

You need a new doctor...
Your Dr is constructing that information on OLD research data.
