Dimash speaks Russian fluently because Kazakhstan is one of the former socialist republics that made up the USSR. Russian is still commonly spoken there. For a little context, Kazakhstan is made up of many different ethnicities and Dimash belongs to the main one, which is the Kazakh ethnicity. They look more "Asian" because they originate from the steppes in central Asia. Part of this people also lives in China. Also yeah he’s very tall, 1.91m is a little over 6’3. But he doesn’t let the language barrier stop him from singing, he’s sung in french, spanish, italian, japanese, ukrainian… when he doesn’t speak any of these languages.
Love his distorted rock screams and especially the ending, when he starts the very last note in the medley as the first of the 4 singers, but ends the last. Amazing.

Super Vocal Boys were created out of the winners of Super Vocal 1. It has undergone changes in lineup since the start. But three of the original Super Vocal Boys are in this performance (Ayanga the guy in the silver jacket), Cai Chengyu (on the end next to Ayanga. He was the baby of the group). Next to Dimash, on the end is Ju Hongchuan. All great singers in their own right. Ayanga is interesting, as he is Mongolian, and his mum and dad died when he was a toddler. His big brother, and his wife, looked after him. As Ayanga was getting ready to go to College, his big brother died. So, Ayanga stayed to help his widowed sister-in-law being up his big brothers' youngest children. He only pursued his studies and career once the children were old enough. He has a moving version of the song.. "Big Brother". 😢 The guy in the audience pumping the air, is Gao Tian He (another Winner of the Super Vocal show). He became their Musical Director, but joined the group singing when Ayanga left. Gao Tian He has a vast vocal range too (similar to, but not as good as Dimash).

If you want to hear Dimash rock watch, Show Must Go On another Queen cover which he does superbly, or Go Go Power Rangers from the Chinese film score, or The Story of One Sky all of which showcase his rock scream. Queen is one of his favorite rock bands. In terms of his own pieces that have rock, there's "Durdaraz" and also the end of "Story of One Sky" is clearly rock but it does have SO many other elements to that piece. Typically I avoid watching performances where Dimash is singing with others but I felt like this was a great collaboration! Love from Oregon!

Super vocal boys is a quartet, Dimash took the place of one of them for this competition. He was invited in as a guest performer, by the Super Vocal Boys, who are a opera trained singing group. Dimash even did the arrangement for them. He does have other rock type songs. Durdaraz, Kieli Meken, he also sang a Queen song on his own during his time on The Singer season 5, The Show Must Go On.
But it wasn't the whole performance, I don't know why it was cut off, Dimash made a guest appearance, they won 1st place. Thanks for the reactions.

This 4 men are fantastic. Ayanga´s voice is quite special, like made for Broadway (he has a unique style) but Dimash is something elese. I watched this contest. Like 3 seasons, hahah. It is like America´s got talent. I loved it. So much talent in China. You should check Tengri. What an amazing unique voice.

Where is the second half of the medley?
My guess would be that he cut it out because of copyright issues. You can see a cut in the video right at the second when it skips to the applause. But yeah...a bit unfortunate because it's the best part.
There are three of his Song's I love to hear more than all of them. 1st is The Story of One Sky. Nearly 14 minutes long. It's worth watching. 2nd is Sinful Passion's, and 3rd is Together, performed with his brother. 🎉 If you have time do reactions to these three.
