Super Vocal is another extremely professional singing show from China for professional Opera and musical singers. Every week 6 principals out of 36 contestants had to choose a song, decide if singing solo or choose partners from the rest for a duet, trio or more, figure out the arrangements and work out the harmonies to suit their voices. These were 4 of the 6 winners. There was not one average singer in the show. I could higly recommend Ayunga from Mongolia (second guy), Zhou Shen, Wang Xi, Zhen Yulong and so on... More so that apparently opera as well as musicals seem to not very popular in China and these guys tried their best to make people more aware of their craft to not perform in front of half empty audiences.
There are some great behind the scenes clips out there that show how they planned the songs, and showing Dimash, the coach, working with a couple of the guys. Note that Dimash does not "show off" but uses his skills where it suits the performance. When he gets cheeky, you know that he is just having fun and doing some flexing and he makes it known.
All of this video shows us how the Real Queen the Quen is, and a persian Farouk Freddie Bulsara Mercury is the greatest of all the times. RIP Freddie, the man of unparalelled senses

Hi Elizabeth, That was an Awesome reaction to this collaboration. The boys were contestants on a show called "Super Vocal" where Dimash was a judge. The numbers of super vocal boys varies from 3 to 7/8 depending on who's available they are all from university and are a close harmony group a bit like 'Il Divo' there is a vid on here from the super vocal competition showing Dimash advising them on one of the songs they were performing in the comp, they got quite friendly and when they were invited onto "Singer 2019" they asked Dimash would he perform with them when it was duet week. This medley was put together and arranged by Dimash and his friend and arranger Erlan Bekchurin ...I think they did a great job !! 👌👌👌😊😊😊😊

I truly appreciate every time I hear Dimash in ensembles. Often it introduced me to other new talents I may not have encountered before. Super Vocal boys are a lovely group and - although different - a good mix with Dimash in this medley. Orchestration can be wonderful when accompanying vocals. As a musician, it is so important to know when you can balance or when to bring your line forward. Dimash has the finesse to know this vocally as well. Good analysis.
Elizabeth, WE can all tell when Dimash is going to hit his notes or hit his moments. He such a great amazing performer. No one but Dimash as such a voice so easily reconise and may be heard with other singers. And is not a shame of giving the others singers their own moments to shine too. I’m a fan of all of them and I am really glad that you are interested in getting to know about the other three, so here’s some information about them so that you can check them out! To start off, The Supervocal is not a band, but a show made for the sole purpose of promoting musical and opera. It featured the best vocalists that China has to offer today, ranging from top music college students to professionals that are in the business for a decade or above. The “second guy”’s name is Ayunga (he doesn’t have a last name due to cultural reasons). He is a musical actor that has been in the business for a long time. Some of the songs that I’d recommend would be Xinzang (The Heart), Till I Hear You Sing, 生命的故乡 (The Home of Life). He is also known for his Mongolian styles of dance and singing. The “third guy” is an operatic tenor named chengyu Cai. At the time, he was attending Shanghai Conservatory of Music, which is considered the finest Music school in China, and he was among the best students there. Upon his first apparence in The Supervocal, he sang the all time classic operatic piece “Ah Mes Amis” from “La Fille Du Régiment”. He’s not my personal favorite so this is the only song that I’d recommend, but his voice is absolutely stunning. The last guy’s name is Hongchuan Ju, and he is an operatic Baritone and a pop singer. He often mixes the two genres in his songs. Hongchuan Ju is best known for winning the first place in a Chinese talent show (that I forgot the name of), as well as his ability to arrange different vocals into one song. Therefore, as you noted that the vocals come together very well in this rendition, he is likely to have been involved in the arrangement. Some songs that featured him include 我要你(I want you), the Sound of Silence, and a Kazakh folk song 可爱的一朵玫瑰花(A Spray of Lovely Rose). Hope you enjoy! I know that the majority of your audience probably want Dimash the most, but I still hope that you’d give them a review!

Oh my Lord... I grew up with queen n I adore Freddie... how do i say this without sounding unfaithful to Freddie but they totally killed this. I don't think for a moment they could have pulled this off without Dimash... the other singers are great but Dimash just made it... this goes to show Dimash is really a baritone. Dude on the left sounds so much brighter. Now, don't be mad. Being a baritone is fine. It doesn't mean Dimash sucks. He can still hit notes and go up and down registers like a god!

I truly appreciate every time I hear Dimash in ensembles. Often it introduced me to other new talents I may not have encountered before. Super Vocal boys are a lovely group and - although different - a good mix with Dimash in this medley. Orchestration can be wonderful when accompanying vocals. As a musician, it is so important to know when you can balance or when to bring your line forward. Dimash has the finesse to know this vocally as well. Good analysis.

No one but Dimash as such a voice so easily reconise and may be heard with other singers. And is not a shame of giving the others singers their own moments to shine too. I’m a fan of all of them and I am really glad that you are interested in getting to know about the other three, so here’s some information about them so that you can check them out! To start off, The Supervocal is not a band, but a show made for the sole purpose of promoting musical and opera. It featured the best vocalists that China has to offer today, ranging from top music college students to professionals that are in the business for a decade or above.
The “second guy”’s name is Ayunga (he doesn’t have a last name due to cultural reasons). He is a musical actor that has been in the business for a long time. Some of the songs that I’d recommend would be Xinzang (The Heart), Till I Hear You Sing, 生命的故乡 (The Home of Life). He is also known for his Mongolian styles of dance and singing.
The “third guy” is an operatic tenor named chengyu Cai. At the time, he was attending Shanghai Conservatory of Music, which is considered the finest Music school in China, and he was among the best students there. Upon his first apparence in The Supervocal, he sang the all time classic operatic piece “Ah Mes Amis” from “La Fille Du Régiment”. He’s not my personal favorite so this is the only song that I’d recommend, but his voice is absolutely stunning.
The last guy’s name is Hongchuan Ju, and he is an operatic Baritone and a pop singer. He often mixes the two genres in his songs. Hongchuan Ju is best known for winning the first place in a Chinese talent show (that I forgot the name of), as well as his ability to arrange different vocals into one song. Therefore, as you noted that the vocals come together very well in this rendition, he is likely to have been involved in the arrangement. Some songs that featured him include 我要你(I want you), the Sound of Silence, and a Kazakh folk song 可爱的一朵玫瑰花(A Spray of Lovely Rose). Hope you enjoy! I know that the majority of your audience probably want Dimash the most, but I still hope that you’d give them a review!

This just is one the greatest harmony performances I have EVER heard. Those other guys are AMAZING. I agree with you on the A Capella idea. Voiceplay is an amazing A Capella group that leans towards musical theater more than the others, which I have a serious passion for.

Oh my Lord... I grew up with queen n I adore Freddie... how do i say this without sounding unfaithful to Freddie but they totally killed this. I don't think for a moment they could have pulled this off without Dimash... the other singers are great but Dimash just made it... Freddie was classically trained.. it makes me sad I think he would have loved Dimash.. I adore them both n I think Freddie would be rocking to this. DIMASH you are a legend... but the whole voices combined just sublime
