Excellent interview, excellent motorcycle, I must say that Indian Scout Designer Ola Stenegard and his team have done a fantastic job with the new machine. Interesting to hear a bit about the process, and the thoughts surrounding the design of the machine.
I saw this bike at the dealer show back in January. Ola’s presentation was by far the best and emotion filled one at the show. You have to remember Indian, part of Polaris, is a large corporation that ultimately is interested in the stock holders and the bottom line. I love the Indian brand and I am glad a company with the financial backbone like Polaris owns it. I am even more grateful that people with passion like Ola are given the chance to have input to save what they can for us enthusiasts.
Good if a Designer is commited to custom, to the brand and so. But he should not accept one of the fugliest exhaust pipes on the market. The 101 is a killer, but the visual weight of the exhaust is sniffable even by the most blind people. I don’t care what the industry single-market show boy says. Ronald Sandals who’s that. Is that the monopoly source of opinion for all brands now? Ridiculous.
He's done a great job on the Chief and now the scout.

You must not be aware of the strict emissions regulations. Plus who keeps a stock exhaust?? That's the first thing you replace on a motorcycle.
EU emission regs mean it has to be that big to pass, and its going to get worse with euro 7 coming
Such a beautiful bike. I'm "this close" to just pushing the button and buying the damn thing.
