Hi man! I'm the Andrea at 6th place. I can confirm you that me and Christian G. are teammates and we had the same list. Thanks for the video as always, appreciate! ❤️
Hello, Sebastiano from 5th place here. I really liked Ori's list. The only thing I really wanted to change was putting Map Butterfly because opening on T1 going second with Butterfly+Eva-08 Armament container is absolutely terrifying for the opponent.
It was an honor, also because I don't really like pure aggro and this list gave me the opportunity to play something equally effective but with the possibility of putting more threatening (and cooler) cards with Antshadow and Kingtaurus.
Hey, I'm Nicolò, the Oath Mandala player. Thanks man, glad you liked the deck 😊. Great video and contribution, this game desperately needs more content like this ❤!
Hi Nicolò, I have a question about Poseidon Crush. People sleep on it because the lowest cost on the board is usually the cost 3 minus. How do you make it work in the first place?😯
@@CasualBurger-q7ras explained in the video the idea is to isolate an important spirit with other removals (combination of flood and spout or shark) and play it on the last spirit. There were two copies of it, then after some testing I switched one to deadly balance to play around armor (mainly for big tiger).
I swear that Mandala deck looks like it would fold in half against any Hydra, any Forest Golem, basically any deck that can throw quickly a BIG threat on the board and start swinging at them. I am surprised they managed to reach that far in a best of one of all formats. Do we have any footage of the deck in action? Especially against the tougher match ups?
Hey, yeah an early hydra with some backup spirits would absolutely be a pain. Probably the worse matchup, I just hoped to dodge it (or that they didn't see it soon enough ahah). It worked for the last online tournament so why not try again? 😂. Jokes apart, I was expecting a lot of aggressive decks so I dropped bombs and/or avalanche to be more consistent against swarm, but the deck can surely be tuned more towards big threats. I think bo1 format fits the deck though tbh. Surprise factor is a thing, those 2-3 initial turns where the opponent won't swing trying to understand what you are playing are crucial. Against a good player winning game 2-3 with such a deck and gameplan ( I never swing unless I have confront to not give em cores) is really really difficult. I would have to work on a sidedeck that tries to switch gameplan a bit in game 2, maybe Kakkara or some other crush stuff and be more aggressive.
Oh and I have a twitch channel but stream in italian. There a vod where I comment the games, I'll see if I can do a live commentary in english and spread it a bit since I saw some interest.
Hi. Im about to get in the game casually & see how i like it. What are some tips you can give me? I heard the Red & White starter decks are good for beginner. Ill probably buy both tomorrow when i get paid.
Welcome! I would say figure out your preferred style of play and buy the cards for a deck that plays that way. There are a lot of different options for play styles in this game so you're bound to find the deck that suits you
Bunch of different decks in top cut is great to see, nice to not just see yellow/purp make top 4 but also to see fabled beast still rockin' it
@@JMarGameDesign classic FB still got it baby. It was still crazy to not see Wendi+Whiteout in the list when I opened up the link for the video
