    An Iconic actor, and all his characters were also iconic. This is one of those rare cases where an actor always seemed to be playing himself, and we always loved him in every role!!

    My God, I LOVED the “Spaghetti Westerns” he did!!! These were CLASSICS!

    He was great in the spaghetti westerns movies and then the Harry Callaghan movies. Are good movies.
    But he is just excellent as a director. One of the best directors ever. Just a legendary career....so many good roles as an actor and some excellent movies as a director

    2:26 Away All Boats. My Dad was one of the WW2 Navy Corpsmen on that ship the book was written about (USS Pierce APA50). He used to tell me and my siblings Clint Eastwood played him in the movie. Dad was in 13 battles in the Pacific, crossed the equator 10 times on 3 different ships, for 23 months, before coming home.

    Clint Eastwood favourite directors are Don Seigel and Sergio Leone.. You can see at end credits of The Unforgiven
    Another facts, he co-starred with the 12 Angry Men stars in Coogan Bluff, Hang Em High and Absolute Power
    He also did his theatrical in dollars triology with his own company, Malpaso Production and became successful in his work onwards, most of his movies are with the company and he was jeopardise his earnings from dollar triology to set up the company and it's worth.

    Your comment that Space Cowboys was the first time Clint hand played a formally married man is not correct.
    He was a widower in the Dirty Harry Movies.
    A widower in the Outlaw Josey Wales
    And in Heartbreak Ridge his ex wife is one of the main characters .
    This is to name but three films where he has played a formally married man

    It is a complete travesty that more time wasn't spent on the outlaw Josie wales, and i'm sure i'm not alone in this opinion. This was his magnum opus.

    Didnt realise he did so many crap movies obvious has quite a degree of bad taste in scripts and actually unless he is playing his squintee eyeed cigar in the mouth say less than 4 words in a sentence character hes not a very good actor.

    • @briantravelman
      @briantravelman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's not a single actor on earth that doesn't have a few bad movies

    • @scaramouche853
      @scaramouche853 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Clint Eastwood became a VERY good actor.
      Take “In the Line of Fire” for example where he’s talking about the Kennedy Assassination and the guilt he feels about how he was unable to save the President that day…or Million Dollar Baby and his last few tender moments with his young protégé before switching off her life support machine.
      They were great, powerful performances.. a far cry from his early ‘gee shucks ma’am’ characters of his earliest films.
      As for ‘bad films’ I think all of Clint’s films are watchable. It’s true some were more better received than others but they all found an audience somewhere.
      But I’m going to reserve judgment until I compare one of Clint’s ‘shitty’ films with one of your good ones.
