I agree with your views on the caste system and reservation.i have heard many people cribbing about the reservation while conveniently forgetting historical social injustice. Somehow lectures such as this should reach out to the youth of today so that they understand and contribute towards a social change.

Sir ,thanks a lot for your enlightening lecture .I sincerely think that the problem should be dealt first by making laws banning caste at the individual level and also at the social level. Choice to follow a particular religion should continue but all signs which reveal caste and social status acquired through caste ,religion and custom should be legally banned. To put it simply caste should not be allowed to be mentioned anywhere and signs of caste like surname or signs revealing social / religious status like Patil/Patel,Deshmukh ,Desai,Kulkarni ,Chaudhari,Bhatt,Upadhye Sayyed ,Sheikh etc should be banned by law. A person should be allowed to mention only his first name followed by father's/mother's and at the most his/her native place. After bringing in above change in the society, caste based reservations should be done away (say after a period of ten years) and reservations on economic criteria should be brought in.
Yes..your view is good..but it is going to take lot of efforts to bring that change...may it commence with ourselves.✌🏻

I absolutely agree with your opinions on reservation but I also want to say that we have to slowly and steadily start towards uplifting reservation from society
You gave an excellent example of horses explaining why reservations are must. I just want to add that when some of these horses become strong we should stop feeding them on basis of reservation and start bringing them to open stream.
In simple words sir I just want to say that those students who take advantages of reservation in advance education courses or in government services there next generation should not be allowed to take the reservation. By this way we will slowly and steadily lift up the reservation from all castes.

At present, there is no mechanism to assess whether 68 years of reservations have been successful. Before the reservation policy is extended every decade, there should be socioeconomic status study conducted to make sure that the reservation system is on the right path, is needed, and what changes need to be made. Looking at the history of ever-expanding reservations, I am not too optimistic that one fine morning, all the reserved class people will give up their privileges. I agree that the aim should be caste-less society. However, India cannot reach there if government keeps asking your caste on forms (for election, education, employment). The only solution will be simultaneous elimination of reservations, and making it a cognizable offense to ask anybody his/her caste.
