As a plumber these are my go to pliers. Way faster than an adjustable wrench and the way they allow you to rotate the tool on a nut without coming off it is a game changer, as is the fact that once set to say 15mm or half inch they have enough leeway to allow for any sight variation in the size of nuts.
You forgot to mention another advantage which is that they will not damage nuts, bolts and whatever you are trying to turn. the other wrench will probably destroy what ever you use them on. The jaws are always almost parallel
I have the 125mm on my belt for EDC. They allow me to grab things tightly that normally would slip out of just the grip of my fingers. They are also great for holding small parts when grinding or cutting that I wouldn't dare hold with my bare fingers. They also really shine when it comes to turning chromed nuts.
It grips, slips when you want, doesn't mar surfaces, it can squeeze stuff flat, it can flatten sheet metal, it can ratchet around nuts and couplings... Nothing not to love about these things.
Great jack of all trades tool. Use them on big hydraulic fittings wrenches are too big to get into, handy for big fasteners if you need 2 of the same size wrench and only have one. Recommend it for a carry and better than a crescent wrench.
You wind up using them for more things than you expect to when you buy them. They fit on cheap fittings that wrenches don't quite fit, they have zero slop unlike a crescent wrench, and they hold and steady like pliers, which wrenches don't do. Also, you can grab and bend or grab and squeeze/crush things. He didn't go into it, but Knipex uses a better handle hinge design, too.
I've had pliers wrench on a six sided fastener and if i dont squeeze, they jump off. Tried it with bolts and also wrench flats on a water hose, doesn't work
@@PioloQuiboloy Do you believe everything you see on the internet? Strangely enough, I own several of these tools, and base my thoughts on personal experience not what people say on the internet You will find knipex themselves advertise the self locking feature for the cobra range and even supply a test device designed for a salesman to apply body weight to the cobras without slipping. AFAIA, Knipex do not advertise this function for the pliers wrench and do not advise the use of a similar test device
They have their place for sure but a high quality adjustable wrench (bahco for example) is better in my opinion, easier to use, to put force into and can be used much better with one hand, gets into tighter places, dont need to be squeezed in order to hold onto a fastener. The one thing pliers wrench obviously has over the adjustable is it has the ability of squeeze things....but with no teeth you cant really drag anything anyways. In my line of qork the adjustable is simple more usable but im sure in others its the pliers wrench :)

I carry these at work as an industrial maintenance mechanic at a foundry. They save me many trips back to my toolbox.

Great explanation of how this tool works thanks for posting

Such a helpful explanation of this tool!

I bought a pair of the 180's after liking some of their Cobra pliers so much. Worth it.

Kilogram is a mass unit not force. Force would be Newtons
👍
I will be switching, I can’t stand adjustable wrenches

They are not designed same as the cobras, you have to squeeze or they can and will slip
did you not watch the video?
