Yup, this is exactly the outcome I was expecting to see. Sampo's personal damage has always been fantastic. He's truly a sub-dps/debuffer hybrid in a Kafka team. One thought for Asta + Guinafen is Asta has the trace to improve fire damage so I wonder if a different supporter would make even more of a difference?
That's a good point. Still, she isn't E6, so it might have evened the playing field instead. Every small difference would be really difficult to calculate, so I would personally view them by their role and leave it at that. By this test, I think we can assume that they are of equal value for their respective purposes. (Tangent ahead) Tests in this game are already skewed by how much use your DPS can get out of the unit, so accurate testing still doesn't measure current potential. Likewise, that potential doesn't measure the unit's strength or future value, just their value in current teams. We compare hypercarry teams to DOT or follow-up comps, but we don't have specialized equipment and supports for them yet. Although hypercarries may stay at the top of the meta, specialized units are not currently at their full potential, so strength comparisons are more like a 'yeah, they're both viable' or 'using this character might not make things easy for you'. Equal testing is not so important in this case, at least in my opinion.
the 18% fire damage bonus equates to around an actual increase to guinaifen's damage by around 5-7% so it's not as impactful when you factor in kafka doing most of the team's damage (and this wasn't even a fully lightning weak stage with two monkeys)

Now that we've got a 4th dot character (and now that i got her with 3 days left on the banner) i really wanna try using a pure dot team with no sustain in SU, just purely using blessings for healing (the hunt ones that give hp on kills and turns as well as the nihility one that gives hp when dots do damage specifically come to mind)
I have a guaranteed pity saved up for Huo Huo, and I plan to then super pull for Argenti. But ONLY because I want the cracked 4 star Hanya, and I haven't gotten a Lynx yet >< Super hoping that the 4 star curse doesn't strike on that banner. Because I'm not really interested in Argenti. Just his 4 stars
I think Samoo is definitely the best character for Wind Shear application due to how devastating it is with the Fernata cone iirc. I have his E6 by accident but he is strong af with it ngl
I think the big thing is just using DoT units that match the enemy weakness. They all perform fairly well in my experience, thou I’ves struggled to enjoy Luka since his DoTs aren’t AoE, I don’t think he’s bad, but it definitely feels worse to play for me personally on a user experience level. At this rate I’m just waiting for a 5 Star DoT unit to mix up the DoT meta. But I’m fairly pleased with all DoT teams so far.

Луку из команды Кафки уже давно выкинул. Тиньюнь даёт больше Кафке, чем Лука. Однако, Лука не бесполезен. Он, с одной стороны увеличивает входящий урон в 1 цель, с другой его конус понижает защиту врага. И при всем при этом положительно-нейтральный по ОД, да еще и сам свои доты активирует. Т.е. идеально подходит под персонажа охоты. А вот когда Сампо и Гвинивера вместе, про автобой, скорее всего, можно будет забыть. Хотя потенциал надо будет рассмотреть, когда сеты на доты выйдут.
She is better for sure but I won't be investing into her for a while as I only have E0 of her and E6 Sampo. Great to see a performace comparison between them thanks for putting that time in!
After watching 5 of your Guinaifen videos, I am convinced. I pulled for Guinaifen and glad I got her without spending much jades but I'll use her in a different team.

Guinaifen definitely has the best ascension abilities. I mean, 20% against burning enemies is literally an e6 level bonus, even most 5 stars have worse abilities.
I like this kind of video. It show how much damage can a character do and even if they are doing less they are making other character stronger. Also who have the sanity to count dot manually. :rowlet:
I like Guinaifen debuff a lot, because increase all source of damage, thats the best part of her, sadly her skill and ultimate damage scale very bad, so her personal damage is low, i though on building her sub-dps to use her outside dot's teams, but as i say her personal damage is very low, but she is a good debuffer.
I e6 both, but I prefer Sampo just because his basic atk guarantees the enemy gets winshear just because he hits 3 times, Guin has only an 80% chance. So one will guarantee winshear AND gain a skill points plus activates Kafka's follow up while Guin only huts once and that one hit is only an 80% chance.
Could also do Kafka + Sampo + Guinaifen vs the Asta teams. I actually used that + FMC to beat the stage so that I could use my only solo sustain FX on the second half.
depends on the enemies you're fighting. fighting enemies with a wind based weakness? use sampo fighting enemies with a fire based weakness? use guinaifen fighting enemies that so happen to have both? use whoever is better built simple
very interesting. i got 1 cycle clear using both of them and luocha. although my kafka is at 160 speed so i really don't needs asta as much. honestly guin is great for sampo even if you don't have kafka. budget dot is a thing now and is only getting stronger
Ironically I got roped into building DoT characters just because I loved Luka, but skipped Kafka. So I now have a mono physical team with break Sushang and hypercarry Luka + Sampo and Guinaifen synergy, which won me last MoC 10 So I'm truly living the budget DoT life, and it's pretty fun.
yeah i farmed relics for her for like 3 weeks and used idk 3 or 4 of the resin trying reroll them. She is E4 lol i only spent like 100$ on her but i saved a lot and skipped seele, jing, and blade waiting for her @@artumbo
Guinaifen does come with the benefit of letting your Kafka run GNSW without 3 DoT appliers unlike Sampo who needs more work to achieve that, however sampo’s E4 makes him way ahead in wind weak levels because he can proc break wind shear which is way stronger than break burn
yeah fire break dots are pretty weak unfortunately - the best way to run guin + kafka is to have guin on resolution shines for even more teamwide damage amp
Guinafen is actually pretty broken, she not only makes dots easier because of her E2, but also her dmg increase is consistent, since its not reliant on ult'ing
another thing i noticed, which idk if it matters but i have seen it at least. Sampo can stack wind up too 5 while other DoT's i've seen only have 1 or 2 stacks. why this is, idk why. so sampo is always going to be a possible go-to for DoT until they change other DoT user's OR come out with another character that can also have a 5 stack DoT of other elements
this video was great for me but for a different reasons,i was unsure about my Kafka damage bc her damage(or any DOT in general) is divided and i got DHIL who just to big numbers in one turn 😅,but thanks for that
i have kafka and DHIL too, so in comparison full buff. my DHIL mono imaginare can get 60k+Ultimate and 80k+enh bsc, for kafka/sampo can get 40k+Ultimate 40k+skill and 30k+DoT on enemy turn. so basically not that far
just think of the enemy as your turn as well because Kafka teams deal dmg on her turn and outside her turn, so you have like 2-3 turns per cycle kinda.
I've been having pretty great success running Fu xuan, Guinaifen, Sampo and Kafka. I've got Fu/Gui/Sampo on Fleet, and Guinaifen is using Resolution Shines. I tried running Luocha but its a lot riskier, especially against the ape. Fu Xuan gives me insurance against Guinaifen getting mollywhopped.
nice video, maybe you could do the same for upcoming relic to see which gives better performance compared to old relic. Watching in real combat and comparing them is much better than just seeing the number from docs or website
When playing with kafka, you better use second dot character as breaker than just normal dot. If enemy have fire weakness use guinaifen,wind=shampo,physical=luka. We now have more variation dot breaker on kafka team. But if you have silverwolf i think you can just use the same dot character.(luka for example, more weakness break point from skill/ulti/enchanted ba)
@@artumbo still silverwolf will help break faster, if team have minimum 3 different element. although its gamble. Ruanmei will help with break efficient, but idk if delay enemies action is bad for kafka?

i use my Guinaifen with 4 pc Musketeer and 2 piece SSS for now until next patch, i had a dream we will be getting even better relics for DoT characters! I also use s5 Resolution shines on her
Using both feels better than using asta tbh. You have more coverage and auto battles resolve faster (as in less seconds). Asta is probably more competitive for 0 cycles (especially if you hit that 201+ speed), but Id rather do a 1 cycle in 60 seconds than a 0 cycle in 80 seconds.
I think Guinaifen takes the win for me personally because I have a weird Kafka, Clara sub dps/tank team. (Lynx "solo" sustain) Guin provides a damage buff to both Kafka and Clara while also providing enough debuffs for good night sleep well to get the max damage bonus (Kafka)
Want to use dot more but i lack good relics for them rn, considering we're getting a new dot set next patch I figure I might as well wait and work with the old BE set I had built up just to see how much break Guinaifen can do. Not bad, easily hit 150% break effect, but personal dot does lack since she doesn't have as much Atk.

I do have E2 Guinaifen my big problem is half or more over half the mobs i fight tend to be immune to burn and i dont own a single sampo, wich is why i tend to Luka atm wich is a bit frustrating..

Video style and content is generally good, but you're using Gui with Asta. Asta pumps Gui's fire damage, and also applies burn. This likely means Gui's damage is inflated enough to be considered significant.

My sampo is pretty much maxxed out and perfectly built but guinaifen is nice to look at so this is a rly tough choice

just think of the enemy as your turn as well because Kafka teams deal dmg on her turn and outside her turn, so you have like 2-3 turns per cycle kinda.

I've been having pretty great success running Fu xuan, Guinaifen, Sampo and Kafka. I've got Fu/Gui/Sampo on Fleet, and Guinaifen is using Resolution Shines. I tried running Luocha but its a lot riskier, especially against the ape. Fu Xuan gives me insurance against Guinaifen getting mollywhopped.
Its incredibly cool to have concrete numbers

I have yet to build Guinfaifen fully. Been running Kafka, Sampo, Asta and Fu Xuan now and its a dream team for me
it's a super fun comp to run and you'll never die either

nice video, maybe you could do the same for upcoming relic to see which gives better performance compared to old relic. Watching in real combat and comparing them is much better than just seeing the number from docs or website

I use both with Fu Xuan and Guinafen is so good sometimes she kills all w her grenade at the beginning

When playing with kafka, you better use second dot character as breaker than just normal dot.
If enemy have fire weakness use guinaifen,wind=shampo,physical=luka.
We now have more variation dot breaker on kafka team.
But if you have silverwolf i think you can just use the same dot character.(luka for example, more weakness break point from skill/ulti/enchanted ba)
weakness matching will always take priority
@@artumbo still silverwolf will help break faster, if team have minimum 3 different element. although its gamble.
Ruanmei will help with break efficient, but idk if delay enemies action is bad for kafka?

i use my Guinaifen with 4 pc Musketeer and 2 piece SSS for now until next patch, i had a dream we will be getting even better relics for DoT characters! I also use s5 Resolution shines on her
Using both feels better than using asta tbh. You have more coverage and auto battles resolve faster (as in less seconds). Asta is probably more competitive for 0 cycles (especially if you hit that 201+ speed), but Id rather do a 1 cycle in 60 seconds than a 0 cycle in 80 seconds.
yeah asta's kind of a pain in auto battle she just drains all your sp LOL
I think Guinaifen takes the win for me personally because I have a weird Kafka, Clara sub dps/tank team. (Lynx "solo" sustain) Guin provides a damage buff to both Kafka and Clara while also providing enough debuffs for good night sleep well to get the max damage bonus (Kafka)
What I get from this is one thing both are good and u can use both

Want to use dot more but i lack good relics for them rn, considering we're getting a new dot set next patch I figure I might as well wait and work with the old BE set I had built up just to see how much break Guinaifen can do. Not bad, easily hit 150% break effect, but personal dot does lack since she doesn't have as much Atk.

correct - always go for element matching as top priority but it really won't make much of a difference on who to pick

yeah i talk about planetary rendezvous and while it's great, bronya lc outperforms it even if guin is on the team
building clara rn, but after I’d love to build guinaifen, she kinda plays like fire pela. I dont use harmony characters with kafka (silver wolf+kafka 4 pc quantum set too good) but guinaifen might replace sw against quantum weak enemies

I do have E2 Guinaifen my big problem is half or more over half the mobs i fight tend to be immune to burn and i dont own a single sampo, wich is why i tend to Luka atm wich is a bit frustrating..

it's definitely viable - but yeah you might have SP issues
Video style and content is generally good, but you're using Gui with Asta. Asta pumps Gui's fire damage, and also applies burn.
This likely means Gui's damage is inflated enough to be considered significant.

keep in mind guin is e4 while sampo is e6 here - the 18% fire damage bonus and slight chance to burn aren't that impactful but yeah they're still there

I have E6 Luka and E5 sampo. i use it for my kafka team with fuxuan and since i only have E0 Guin does chaning luka to guin increase my dps output ? i saw alot of comments about luka being bad with kafka

they would do more damage but the difference between each of their performances would not change much
