      Here is my thought:
      A verdict can be wrong. I think her lawyers are responsible for this. She said it's the legal advice she received to not talk/testify. Also, her no-stand-up when the jury entered into the court room seems also from her legal counsel. In case like this, today is the last chance for her to make her voice to be heard. I think the judge got it too. That's why he rendered the sentence with a possibility of parole, IMO. She does have personal interests on Gary's death but if the prosecutors grasped it as the solid evidence to make their case, chances are, they missed the truth of the case. In case like this, it remind me of "Murder on the Orient Express"... She begged the court to find the justice to Gary and to her family. She shed lights on some critical pieces to the truth of the case, IMO.
      Also, I see how powerful a propaganda/info-war can brain-wash people on the social media... ...

      @taramay8174 she said in one of the jail recorded calls to Rusty that the inside house has no evidence, which likely true since it seemed premeditated--waiting for 4th of July fireworks.. Also I think it's easy for her to scare Gary with a random shot in the basement (note: there's a basement door at the same level as the backyard) then instructed him to go outside to the pile and shot the 2nd round outside closer to the burning pile.. (but on her defense, she said in the initial interview how she was traumatized with fire.. so it could be she was just so upset that Gary decided to burn that pile anyway and ignored her concerns).. she knows..

    • @JJyo275

      @@TG-zd2se Even if Melody did not have anything to do with it and I believe she did, not rendering aid, not calling the police, not calling fire department and calling Rusty and Rusty not shocked or rendering aid is a crime. We all know Gary was beyond CPR but you cannot hide a crime because you don't want to report it. If Melody was so sure Scott did it, she would have called 911 and had him questioned on the spot. The child didn't kill Gary, Melody did and that is why she didn't call 911. She waited for the grandkids and kids to come over to help discover it because if she would have found it by herself the next day she would have been prime suspect. She set it all up. If I found anyone, stranger or family burning I would call 911 which is what Scott did when he found it the next day after he found the bullet. You are just like Ted Bundy's mom who called her son a sweet boy on the stand after he brutally killed women across the U.S. in the 70's. The Dahmer's ignored prime symptoms. Child or not, parent or not, you are supposed to report the crime.

      @@TG-zd2se Not talking physically but if she thought Scott did it why didn't she call police that evening? She would have heard the tractor start up, she would have heard the gun shots in the house afterall she was the only one home. She did it and neither she nor Rusty were shocked that "he was in the burn pile" neither called police to check it out. No one could have saved him but Melody wanted the grandkids over to help her discover Gary's body in the burn pile the next day. She forgot about the bullet in his rib which she probably grazed in the house and then she forced him to the pile at gunpoint, shot him there and rolled him in.

      This is an opinion, and it’s an inaccurate one. Not everything is admissible in court and you can only discuss evidence that was entered as evidence (note that leaves evidence NOT entered as off limits to discuss in front of the JURY). Being subject to cross examination, INNOCENT or guilty, is not an open discussion. Many innocent people choose not to take the stand in their own defense because they are counseled NOT TO due to a large variety of legal reasons it appears the dense TH-cam audience doesn’t understand.

    • @ampmf13
      @ampmf13 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      She was probably advised to not take the stand since most of this stuff would not have been admissible. The state clearly decided she wasn't allowed to just come out and say this ..they make these types of decisions before the trial and it would have been damning to their case therefore they would have definitely made it so they so she could not say this stuff. If you know the system (and the prosecutor certainly does) then there's almost no reason to not get your conviction since you can have whole sides of the story omitted.

A lawyer only advises their client not to take the stand if they know their client wont be able to answer the questions without looking guilty, but at the end of the day it's the client's decision. This woman would throw anyone under the bus to cover her ass. She referred to Gary as that body, and now he's her loving husband and Big Daddy? Melody told her lover Rusty before anyone else noticed Gary missing that he was on the burn pile. How would she know that at 2:30 am on the 3rd of July unless she murdered him?
