    Ingredients:
    Mutton - 1 kg
    Ginger - 1 ½ inch piece
    Garlic - 12 cloves
    Green Chillies - 3
    Onions - 3
    Fresh Coconut - 2 cups ( grated )
    Tamarind - 1 ½ inch size ball
    Xacuti Masala powder - 6 tbsp

    Salt - 2 tsp
    Coriander / Cilantro leaves - 1 cup + small bunch
    Cooking Oil - 5 tbsp
    Cooking / Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
    Hot / Warm Water - 1 cup / 250 ml
    Water - 3 ¼ cups / 810 ml
    Notes: Serve Mutton Xacuti hot with Rice / Bread
    If you prefer Potatoes in the Xacuti, you can add them

      Fatima, You need to add the tamarind pulp while grinding the masala like we have done in the video.

    Hi the recipe was awesome but very very spicy. How could I reduce the spicyness

      Emy, the spice factor completely depends on which chillies and how many you used. If you found it spicy then you just need to reduce the number of chillies 🙂

      On Friday I purchased this Xacuti Masala from New Market in Margoa don't know what chillies were used

      Emy, I guess the readymade Xacuti powder you purchased from the market is either very spicy or you added too much of this Xacuti Masala powder in the gravy.

      I used 4 Tbs when grinding the masala and 2 Tbs when cooking as mentioned by you.

      Emy, The measurements I've given is based on our Xacuti Masala Powder. Quantity will vary based on the Xacuti Masala Powder you are using. Next time adjust the quantity of Xacuti masala powder to meet your spice preference 🙂
