Been running the Talon for about 3 months now. Carrying a Ebike at 40lbs on top of my BMW X2. Drove from SoCal to NorCal with it on, speeds up to 90mph and zero issues. I always clean the contact points between my car and the cups. Also while driving around town zero issues, I just got my BMW so admittingly...I'm driving it like I stole it....took some twisty turny roads at pretty good speed and ZERO issues. Love it! I do wish there was a better way to lock these down. The little metal "hook" they sell that goes in your window looks sketch, I don't want my bike stolen AND my window broken.
@@mattiapalombi1597 funny that you ask, I loved it but it’s a mental thing with me knowing it’s up there and safe . My bike fits in trunk perfectly so I sold it But it was great
Guys! Great video!!! I have had my Seersucker for 5 years now, amazing, not one problem. Here is another pro tip, I mount the searsucker on the bike first, while the bike is on the floor, upside down, is that okay, I haven't had a problem, have you tried it that way?
Thanks for sharing!! I would love to use the SeaSucker Suction Cup outside on my sunroof for my GoPro while going through Utah and Colorado next month but, I'm afraid it would crack the glass pumping it up. Do you know if this could potentially crack the glass if used on a sunroof? Thanks again! 👍
Ya I have a madone, 2 glaring issues I have, how an I going to trust these suction cups when going down the interstate at 70 mph and not loose my multi thousand dollar bike??? Number two, my bike had 12 mm thru axles as do so many others, even if I can trust them noy to dump my bike how am I supposed to mount it???
There are multiple reviews out there, some showing the power of the cups while driving. I know for sure there's a review vid of a guy going 80mph without the bike even shaking. There are multiple mounts available for the Talon, you can select an option when ordering one. 12mm is one of the options.
Very cool idea but having to remove the front tire, worrying about the suction coming off, and not being able to go in my garage or through fast food drive-through’s kind of sucks, I personally like trunk racks do you guys have anything like this for trunks
That is the correct way if it's on the windshield. When placed on the passenger's side this orientation allows for the whippers to clear. That's why the part of the rack holding the Talon is angled.
Hello! Yes. Our fork mount base (HUSKE) uses a plug system to switch between axle sizes. You add the HUSKE plug size that corresponds to the size of your front axle. Here's a direct link to learn more: www.seasucker.com/collections/rack-accessories
I bought the mini bomber (2 bike rack) and disappointed in how difficult I found it to get my mountain bike on/off my Prius. It’s a cinch w my light road bike, but not so w my heavier mountain bike, especially given I’m 5’3”. It was even difficult w a lighter child’s bike when putting it on/off a SUV. My 5’11” friends also found it difficult. I was also greatly disappointed it didn’t come w a storage bag. I see all the parts soon missing and lost and the rubber suction cups on the product eventually being damaged from free-floating about. Given the cost it really should come w a bag. I can’t even use the box it came in. I will say it safely transported a bike for 4000 miles; althg I did have to occasionally press the suction buttons as the orange was showing after a long drive.
Any kind of bike rack on the roof is going to be more difficult, the heavier the bike is. The only downside is that you have to take out your frontwheel. But you knew that before you bought it. The rubber suction cups have plastic protectors. Use them well and the suction cups won't be damaged. It not coming with a storage bag isn't a problem when you take care of your stuff.
You don't. You're going to mount your SeaSucker rack close to the frame of your car. Most cars don't require this. I mount a Mini Bomber in the middle of my Civic and there's no issue.
@@dpugh39 I suggest you carry a microfibre towel in the car: you can find them for super cheap, and they do a pretty good job at drying up a surface as long as you don't saturate the towel. So perhaps wipe the water droplets off with your hand, then wipe the surface down with the towel and you should be good to go
Are you kiddin' me? You got almost all the technology complete and at the end you'll have to remove the front wheel of the bike? What is this? 99.99% of people who own bikes don't know how to dismantle the front wheel. Is this a joke? People just want to have the bikes in one complete piece. Either you do something about the design or this is a complete failure. Why don't you put a 2 vertical bars attached to the forward suction cups to hold the bike upright. Come on...what a design flaw.
It's not a complete failure lol....the average joe who has a comfort bike wouldn't be buying one of these anyway...ive worked in a bike shop for 18 years and we wouldn't sell this to just anyone off the street. you need to know how to remove the front wheel and all...you clearly don't own one...
Just got mine today, i went for a test drive. Ive never seen so many necks broken😂
Snapping necks World Wide!

Do you have a trough axle ? I have a fully
*I drove 20 hours across state with a **Latest.Bike** on this rack never budged. Highly impressed. Easy install one two go!*
Just tried mine out today & I’m satisfied! One of the best investments i’ve made.
Very well done video, especially the pro tip. I'm a new SeaSucker Talon customer and very excited to use your product. Great job!!!

I'm guessing if your paint is getting older this isn't really going to work? If I buff it nice and smooth would that work?
The only time older paint will be a problem is if there are rust spots, or other breaks in the finish. We mount these on vintage cars all the time.

How can we use seasucker for coupe 2-door car
And we add a cargo box on seasucker
Well thats just groovy baby - Austin Powers
are mine defective as after 5 minutes and my finders and wrists broken, i can't get ANY suction.
I am interested to buy one. Is it convenient for a Toyota iQ ?
Can you put this on top of vinyl and or PPF
Looked it up. They highly recommend you don't use it on a wrapped car. It needs to be attached to a clean metal or glass surface.

Thule
How do you prevent it from someone casually unscrewing the front mount?
Drive faster? lol. We have a few security options for when you make a stop: www.seasucker.com/collections/security
Why it need to take out the tire. Why not the front sucker like the back system? So we don't need to do extra work to put on/take off the tire...
Is that the correct orientation to mount the Talon? As I've seen it mounted both ways in multiple videos.
Cheers.
That is the correct way if it's on the windshield. When placed on the passenger's side this orientation allows for the whippers to clear. That's why the part of the rack holding the Talon is angled.
Do you happen to know where I can get instructions on how to assemble my SeaSucker Flight Deck to my Talon? Thanks
does it work with a through axel in the front tire?
Does this have to be on the windshield? Or could it be mounted on the roof, and rear window while still facing forward..
Just got my mini bomber, can't fit my fuel Ex 7 to it, shock is too wide for the through-pin, doesn't reach the other end.
this postion is not interrupt by wiper ?
Got mine but need the fat tire adapter . What do I need to order?
Which one do you recommend for a roof rack luggage box
Hey will this work for a 29inch BMX bike?
How fast can I go with this thing?
Is there a lockable version comming out ?
Hello!
Does it work with disc brake bikes the front wheel axel skewer is different?

Can use it in the rain?
For sure. Rain will not affect the hold.

If it's raining and roof is wet dies that make them stick even better or do you dry the area? Thanks
He mentions that it helps it stick in the video, at 1:00
Altogaming4 he says a little wet but if it’s proper raining it’s a job to get it reasonably dry

@JackOnWheels - have you ever tried to dry off a car roof during a decent rainstorm? Not possible.
That's no problem. If you go through a few rain storms you'll want to pull out the pumps and re-lube them.
Can’t wait to put one on the 400z!!!
