Fun fact: Cadbury was one of the most popular and trusted brands in New Zealand, but in 2008/2009 they announced that they were adding palm oil to their chocolate. New Zealanders were so outraged by this because of the environmental impacts and the taste that the general public boycotted Cadbury. In August 2009 Cadbury stated they would no longer use palm oil but their reputation was permanently damaged to the NZ public. A local chocolate brand, Whittaker's Chocolate, swooped in and has been the most popular chocolate ever since (because its delicious af).
They did also promise not to close the local factory that made Cadbury in NZ then closed it anyway which led to even more anti-cadbury sentiment here. No one really cares though since NZ's own Whittakers brand is so vastly superior that many people who try it while visiting agree it's the best mass produced chocolate 😎
Northeast USA here - Terry's Chocolate Orange is one of my favorites. Not many get them around here, as they usually only appear around Christmas, but they are a treat.

Can we start a petition to bring back the snowflake? Winter will be tough without gas and power, but we could all be munching on snowflakes until the hypothermia takes us!
I'd never heard of the snowflake, but in Australia right now we have the Caramilk Twirl, which is, as the name suggests, little caramilk flake bars covered in regular dairy milk chocolate. They've been out for a couple months but I hadn't gotten around to trying one yet. Just nipped down to the shops and picked one up, and mate you are not wrong, this thing 👏slaps👏. I'd looove to see them make it with just plain dream white chocolate inside too, so sign me up to that petition!!
Watching this video gave me a sugar rush, I can’t imagine how rough Smith must be feeling at the end there. I feel like either all the Cadbury’s chocolate has gotten more sweet and lower cocoa since I was a kid in the 90’s, or I’ve lost my sweet tooth and become a chocolate snob. Twirls will always be good for nostalgia reasons though.

as a person that has only lived in the US and Mexico im surprised that hersheys is that bad raking xD now i want to taste more eurpoean chocolates to see how much better they are, I have had kinder and i will admit they are amazing so excited to try european chocolates!
I lived in the UK for 3 months when I was 21 came back to America and literally couldn't eat Hersheys chocolate for nearly a year. It really is absolutely disgusting, even now I still avoid it and will generally only go for candy that uses Mars chocolate
American chocolate, no matter the brand, is terrible. It's made to survive in hot weather for a long time without any refrigeration and that means it's very dry and lacks flavour. Meanwhile European chocolate is made to be proper chocolate, although the quality differs greatly. Also, don't trust the Hat bois ranking. Cadbury and Nestle is not very good chocolate; at best it's mediocre compared to everything else we have in Europe - it's made to be reproducable in massive amounts for cheap, and not to be good. Kinder is actually terrible chocolate, some of the worst you can get here
IIRC American chocolate tends to have something added as a preservative that is also found in expired milk and vomit, hence why we Europeans pick up on that flavour in comparison to our chocolate.
@@thesteelrodent1796 Cadbury is proper rubbish. Oversweet and oily. Not the winning choice in Australia. Lindt, Nestle, Darrel-Lea, Guylian, Toblerone: all better.
