Can’t wait for you to keep going, these movies are a fun ride ! There is a post credit scene on this movie that shows where dom went after he took off. There is also short video you can find on TH-cam called “2fast 2 furious prelude”that shows how Brian ended up where he is in 2 fast 2 furious. It’s not critical but worth checking out before you start the second one

I worked on the crew for this film, and many others from 90-2001. I grew up in San Pedro, Long Beach, Wilmington, all around the harbor area. Much of Gone In 60 Seconds was also filmed around the harbor. Actually many many shows and films were. It was a really nice and fun place to live back in the 80s and 90s, even the industrial areas were nice and safe. I would never move back there today, but I have fond memories of it.

Gonna fire this bad boy up right now, but I see you guys have been diving into some anime films. Just got through watching your thoughts on Akira/GitS back to back, and I just wanted to throw something at you that may fill both columns A/B (horror/cyberpunk aesthetics and themes that you've been flirting with) if you're willing to watch a three part series (45 minutes per OVA (original video animation), each being a vignette from a single character's perspective all tied into the same story): Cyber City Oedo 808. Well worth the time if you can stomach the format and more anime, though it isn't driven so much by plot (compressed or otherwise) as it is the general aesthetics/themes and fantastic animation.
