Capi shows you how to make the bag handle, how to sew in a lining, add stabilizer to the strap and make box gussets.
I have made 60 of these bags. I love them especially as gifts for friends and family. It’s a fun pattern. Thanks for the tutorial.
You are so welcome!
Awesome video. This is my first time seeing you. I am definitely subscribing to your channel. I purchased the pattern, as well. Have a blessed day full of happiness and joy.
That's awesome! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
Capi’s the best bag lady. She and Peter can show you how to make anything.
Oh Virginia!
I love your idea of that rope braided rope from a hardware store. It could be attached through grommets
Thank you!
I’ve made several tote/market bags .. but I’m going to send for the Tourist Tote Bag pattern because I like the way the straps are made and attached. Thanks, Capi and Peter! 🧵
You're welcome!
I love this pattern, I have made over 20 of these for family and friends, I add rivets just below the stitch line on the handles, just to make them more sturdy.
That's a great idea!
Fantastic Demonstration!!! Thank you so much!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the inspiration. I really like the extra features you added. Maybe you and Peter could do a video sharing how you did the extras.
Great idea!
I’m on a bag break, but I need this bag and that cross body!!!😍😍😍
I bet after making that everything 2.0 bag you will be on a hiatus!
Great tutorial, thank you.
Just found your channel, watching from Ireland 🇮🇪 and I am about to bag out! Thanks for the video!!
Have fun! So nice to have you watching from Ireland!
Just starting!
Need to get started
Love you based the lining bottom. Gives you a chance to iron it open, remove basting, turn and sew up seam.
Thank you!
I have made two of the first draw string bags and I have all the supplies for making the next three.
Those drawstring bags are fun to make!
I'm starting today
You will love your new bag!
I have to admit, I have yet to start... But, I really do want to learn. I just feel like I need to be able to have time to really focus & right now I'm working on about 10 quilts (literally!)!!!
Wow, those quilts will keep you busy!
@@alwaysinstitches5388 They definitely do!
This is the first time it popped on my phone.😅
I bought the pattern this morning. In looking at the sizes, it appears we can use fat quarters or am I mistaken? I don't want to give sizes out. I like the bag with the pockets too. Great idea.
Yes!
@@alwaysinstitches5388 If I use faux leather or vinyl, do they still need to be interfaced. I'm using Decovil light.

Haven't ever made a bag
Hi Capi, what would be my approach to place a zippered pocket on front vs the slip open pocket you have made?
Check out the earlier videos in the series. They may give you several zipper ideas! Also there are several really good tutorials on TH-cam on zipper pockets.
Thank you so much I will check all of those out
I went to buy this pattern but it's sold out. Do they not do digital patterns?
We have more on order. Please check back in a week!
Just found you will look for the others
Welcome!
Where is the pattern to buy
It's up on our website or you can call our orders department here at the store!
I have not started any.
I want to start one but haven't either!
I need close captions!
TH-cam will have those available later! Sometimes they don't provide them when the video loads.
Copy, do you miss not having a free arm on your Janome?
Capi loves her machine. I also have a machine with out a free arm and it wasn't a problem to sew cuffs and a collar as well as flat felled seams on the sleeve without a free arm.
@@alwaysinstitches5388 .. thank you! This is a fantastic machine .. maybe too much machine for me … I’ll be thinking about it if/when I decide to replace my current machine. I’m 80 so it’s time to think about downsizing … 🧵
Duh! I just spotted that I misspelled Capi’s name … I know better… thanks, auto correct!
Oh, so sad, much as I wanted to watch all of your video, the filming is SO jumpy and wobbly, I got very seasick and had to give up. Pleeeease buy Peter a Tripod!
No sound???
I haven't received any other comments about the sound.
Too difficult to watch with camera so unsteady.....causing headache
Please put that camera on a stand.
