- Hello out there my favorite humans!! I hope you are all well!
I must confess….It has been a few months since I have been down here in the Dungeon, due to the Holidays… and just needing a break in general…. But, I’m glad to be back!
However, it is awfully cold down here this time of the year….Brrrrrr!!!🥶
Ok! My space heater is on….. let’s talk about Dichro!!
Cheers! R- 🌹✨✨ - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Thank you to defy the cold and share this beautiful bead with us 👌
Brigitte! Awe…thank you!! That means a lot to me! A space heater and a rug under my feet makes all the difference….and opening up the annealer for a quick nose warming works wonders! 😂
R- 🌹🙏🏽😁
Beautiful. Different from every angle.
Hi Danjay! Thanks so much!! It really came to life under those photo lights! I must say I was pleasantly surprised! 😃 R- 🙏🏽🌹🌹

Oh my my my, a wonderful bead! Lucious! I never thought about adding layers of dichro, feel a bit cautious when playing with it, just want to put it on and cover quickly with clear......thank you again, keep 'em rollin'! ....
Aloha Roberta! I was the same way when I first started playing with dichro…. Until I noticed how much better it kept looking with a little more every time!! 😃 xoxo
Thanks so much for you comment, Roberta!! 👋🏽 R- 🌹🌹🌹

Hi Lyn!! Thanks so much!! It was a good break/holiday….glad to be back!
I’m so happy you like this one! It came out better than I thought….(third times a charm!)😂
Cheers! R- 😁🔥🌹
Very nice, I love clear dicro over clear. It's a while since I have been at the torch, but for a different reason... it's summer and too hot and humid for me to deal with hot glass.
Ohhh …Ok! I completely understand! I am the same way!! It’s been super cold here this winter…. Hard to flamework when freezing too 🥶
Thanks for you comment, Jirup!! I hope cooler weather comes your way soon! R - 👋🏽🌹✨😁
Love it. Going to try tomorrow.
Can you tell me where you got your large marver? Is it graphite? How thick is it?
Hi Gloria! I’m glad you are going to give this a try! I bought my graphite plate years ago….I’m not sure exactly where, but if you google
12 x 12 x 1/2 graphite plate, you will see it in a few places…. Mountain Glass and Griffin Glass has them. They are more expensive than I remember but this is the best graphite plate! I love the size…. It’s worth every penny!!
Xoxo R - 😃🔥🌹
Thank you for the great video! For how long I must preheat the dichro in to the kiln an what temperature? I would like to pull some dichro stringers. I have many dichro sheets but I dont know how to work on them. Thanks again!
Hello, Yiouli! Great question! After I cut the pieces and put them in the annealer, I will take it up to 1000 degrees. Id say about 10-15 mins to preheat. Be careful not to pull the stringers out to thin, or the dichro will be hard to see. Thanks so much for your comment, Yiouli 😃 Take care! R- 🔥🔥🌺
@@scottwoodresearch Thank you so much dear for your reply and that you sharing your knowledge! I Really appreciate it! I must tell that your videos are very useful to me and I really enjoy them! Thanks again and you take care too!😄
Ohhh Yiouli, I can’t tell you how much that means to me! 😃🌺I am so happy that you are finding the flameworking catalog useful!! Thank you so much for letting me know! Big Hugs to you!! 🤗

I personally prefer dichro. to silver. I just don't think silver looks beautiful. I have had lovely results when I was fusing with silver. Dichroglass is Lucious. Thanks showing how to do it, Robin.
Hi Vicki! 🤗✨ I absolutely love dichroic glass! If I could just use it all the time I would! 😂
Silver foil has a lot of benefits, though… Not only is it easy to use but it can really enhance certain colors that are on top of it or mixed with it. ✨ I’m so glad you enjoyed this Dichro demonstration!
I totally agree with you when you say, the dichroic glass is luscious!!🥰✨✨✨🌹
Thanks so much!! Cheers- Robin 🌹✨🌹
Hi Robin, I just bought some copper foil any idea what to do with it? Was thinking of doing it with turquoise and see if it reacts. May turn to scum. I have done copper tubing over mandrel and like the red color. Any ideas with copper foil or tubing.?
@vickicubeiro9298 Hi Vicki! 😃🌹 I just so happened to get some copper foil as well last month. I used it a few times with white and clear. It turned into a beautiful blue with hints of black throughout. I have been planning on using it for an upcoming demo! I haven’t used the tubing but I can imagine the gorgeous red tones that you got out of it. 🥰🌹✨ Hopefully I will have it done sometime in March.
Glad you brought it up!!! 🙏🏽😅 Cheers to you- Robin👋🏽🌈✨
Thanks Robin that would be great. I was thinking of trying it with some copper blue frit that I have. Will try with nougat beige and black and see what happens. Wonder what it would do with double helix? The wonders!

Hi Vicki! 😃👋🏽 it is always fun to explore new combinations!! I will try as well and see what happens…the double helix could be very interesting!! 🥰🌹 Have a great day! Cheers- Robin 🌹
