    You inspired me to set up my Knipex pouch! I also bought 10 of the pocket screwdrivers on Amazon. I like that they are cheap enough that I “buy once but won’t cuss a bunch” when I break or lose an expensive tool. Thanks for making this video!

      That's awesome! I hope your toolkit serves you well! Surprisingly I haven't lost any of the pocket screwdrivers, which I'm thankful for, but I purposefully bought them because of the frustration of losing pocket drivers 😂

    Enjoyed the humor! Size of the pouch is according to the need. That’s a great idea.

    Wera 818/3/1, handle is a little big for smaller kits but ergonomic and I love that it's a short with extension, bits lock and it includes more bits in the handle.. I also use the Wera zyclop pocket.. but if I were to save some space I might opt for the Klein impact 7-1 with also adding the 14-1 handle.. probably overkill.

      I like the way you think, it's hard to find that balance between being compact and having the right combination of tools, I heard so many good things about the zyclops, but I will also check out the 818/3/1 and see if those solutions work. Thank you for the ideas my friend!

    13 year's as a chef and 8 year's as a truck driver. I have no clue on a lot of tools. I'm here to learn.

      This is this guy's personal kit. Your mileage may vary.
      Here's how you know that he's not full of it.
      1. His tools aren't brand-spanking new.
      2. He tells you WHY he has them, and relates them to job terms.
      3. He tells you how he modifies his tools according to his needs.
      4. He's sharing what works for him, not making a sales pitch talking about useless measurements or using fancy technical terms.
      5. The tools he shows do basic jobs, the jobs that everyone need to do--every day, and this is why he carries them. Real EDC.
      6. He uses weird tools that you might not: hex bits. If I did such a video I'd be talking about Robertson bits.
      This is a decent video.

    Nice collection of tools! Harbor Freight has a similar Icon ratchet kit that I've been thinking about getting. $40 and includes bits

    • @dirtyboytools
      @dirtyboytools  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you, yea I've been seeing different companies make that style of ratchet, comes in handy for many situations, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite tools for my mini kit

      @MrNb131 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I got that icon set recently and love it. Planned on just using the ratchet in my pocket kit but the case and other bits are so great together that it feels like a crime to separate it!

    Add a swiss army knife the swiss champ to be exact. Its one of the best multi tools ever made in my opinion

    • @dirtyboytools
      @dirtyboytools  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally don't use multitools that much, but I have to agree, Victoronox multitools are so well designed, they feel great in the hands and are easy to operate, I'm considering getting either that or the spirit in the future

    Cool toolkit. A Leatherman Surge with a bit kit and ratchet/extender in a pouch would probably be about the same size but your tools are far superior to that in terms of utility, quality and durability.
    I've started thinking about buying a Knipex XS pouch to make a smaller toolkit consisting of Knipex Cobra XS, ratchet with inline driver capability plus bits, 4 in Bahco adjustable and some other bits. Perhaps this vid popped up in my algo after I was looking at the pouches yesterday on Amazon! Anyway glad it did. Cheers from London UK.

    • @dirtyboytools
      @dirtyboytools  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree about the Leatherman Surge, I'm always trying to find that medium between convenience and quality work but it's so difficult. I've heard many folks rave about the XS, I myself have not had the best experiences with pliers below 6 inches, but I also think it's because I'll try to use small tools for jobs that are too big. Glad to hear from a friend across the pond, I hope you find the right tools that work for you!

    • @FrancisRoyCA
      @FrancisRoyCA 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Some of us despise multi-tools. I'm like this guy: a minimal amount of small and light tools designed to do what they're for.

    • @dirtyboytools
      @dirtyboytools  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FrancisRoyCA There was a time when I was using a multi tool consistently. One day I was trying to get some RTV off of a piston so I pulled out my mini multi tool saw. Needless to say I was very unsuccessful and sought out better tools 🤣. I never looked back since, but I still like watching videos on the latest multi tools, I always think that maybe I'll find one that works for me.

    That Knipex pouch set is a dream, I added a Wera multi bit screwdriver, pen, and small tape measure. Lets me walk my plant and save me from running to the toolbox for every small task needed. About outgrown it moving up the Veto mpx1 next

    • @dirtyboytools
      @dirtyboytools  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You and I are in the same boat my friend. My goal is to travel the plant lightly and fix most of the easy jobs I encounter, and then of course go to my heavier toolbag for the big jobs. I'll check out the Veto mxp1, might be a good next step for me as well!

      @MackLife87 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dirtyboytools yea Veto has 3 or 4 models that’s a step up. During the spring they do a promotion and give away free items with purchases, like whole tool bags. I’m going to wait until then and see what I can get from them

    Good tool pouch! Those knipex cobras will git you out of some tight spots when you least expect it! I would like to recommend Vessel or anex JIS bits they are probably the best bits for all Phillips screws that i have ever used!

      @dirtyboytools  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I definitely want to keep an open mind with the cobras, I'll probably try incorporating it sometime soon. I have heard good things about Vessel bits, I will check them out. I appreciate the recommendations my friend, part of the reason I make these videos is for input from others so that I can continue to build a better toolkit. Thank you!

      I appreciate it my friend! I'm a manufacturing engineer, and I work very closely with our maintenance team of mechanics and electricians. We all have the same goal to keep things running in our factory, and I'm fortunate enough to work with a great team that works and learns together. One day I will do a full tool bag review once I can figure out a great way to set up the camera view.
