Great run by Rop. Also nice to see Sahlman deliver a really strong time. He has had a bit of a slow start to his college career in cross and indoors, so it's good to see him put in the sort of performance we all know he is capable. Still expect big things from him.
Colin has limited himself to mostly training vs racing. His on par with his high school times. NAU usually holds back which helps for later. Colin 800m times are quick 1.48 so there is a good chance he will become better as times goes on in this event. Too early to tell for this season but can see him doing 3:35
I think they said he ran a massive pb since his previous collegiate pb was a 3:45 from a few weeks ago. They probably didn’t consider his high school pb.
You must be new here. Viewers have been roasting the likes of FloTrack and NBC for YEARS b/c people want to watch the race w/o knowing who won it beforehand.
There wasn't. Just took the heat times. Cooper Teare wasv the fastest in 3:34.96, Rop got 8th with his 3:36.92 and Sahlman got 12th with 3:38.30. Leo Young finished in 23rd place at 3:39.39!

Bigger things to come from Colin. He needs to avoid getting stuck in the pack. The talent is there for sure
Hard transition from hs to college in cross with the 5k-10k jump, once he gets stronger he’s going to be a danger on the track for sure
Fantastic job by Rop, Colin legit teleported around that curve.
Great job Colin, from an NAU grad in Canada.
Ezekiel Rop runs MASSIVE 1500m, which should be the title; props to all athletes on the track, but Rop earned it.
He ran 3:39.59 in high school so I wouldn’t say “massive PB” but still nice progress from indoor and a solid PB
Did he run indoors?
3:38 is about equivalent to his 3:56 mile but with still 6 or 8 weeks to go he has plenty of chances to lower his times.
@@petersamaras3732 yeah but only ran 1:49/4:03

Also a Div 3 collegiate record for Ryan Wilson from MIT
Predicting Colin will round into form for outdoor season, nice finishing kick!
I like this announcer. He may have a few slip ups but he has a strong voice. I think he’d be great at calling wrestling.
Dropped the Frank Rizzo “sizzle chest” reference 🙌🏼
Here for Ezekiel Rop massive talent that one!
Why doesn’t Rop get the headline?
Because FloTrack
@@cpy Sahlman is better known than Rop for now. It makes sense.
We click for the Sahlman name. We then discover this beast named Rop. In the future we click on the Rop title. It is just marketing.
because people don’t like it when the winner is in the title.
Excellent!
Great running. Decathletes can only dream about that time.
Bet he would’ve finished closer if he didn’t have to fight so hard for a good position at the end
Post Aaron’s race ?
Why isn’t the title about Rop even tho he wins 😂😂

If there wasn't so much traffic, I think Sahlman might have run faster. His kick looked awesome.
Juan Diego looks like Luis Grijalva with all that hair.
headline disrespects the winner
Why was everyone on the track?
Colin hair is cool!
Although this was a heat I presume there was not a final for the 1500?

ZEKE!!!!
This announcer really needs to chill with his voice. He’s forcing it so much
