I JUST came home from seeing Jay (Jared) LIVE at "Mic Drop Comedy" in San Diego. He found it fun to focus in on me- a white 76 year old--in one of the funniest shows I've seen in years. I'm "Dave" - who was with my son "Harold" (Adam) - the targets of some Jay Pharoah fun. Can't wait to see this video. He's a front runner for the next "King Of Comedy".
It was definitely hilarious, but nah man. Dan soder does waaaaaay better impressions. Like spot on, Dave, kat, damn near anyone he attempts, clears it out.
Heard him on the “Fly On the Wall” podcast and figured I’d give this a watch. Never saw his stand-up until now. Amazing! So much heart. So many laughs. I feel like I arrived late to the party, but I’m glad I did.
I'd have to honestly say this is one of the best comedy specials recently, possibly of all time. If you took Eddie Murphy, Kat Williams, Aries Spears, Dave Chappelle, and Kevin Hart and have them create a mix tape, you can see that they all had tremendous influence on JP's comedy style. His impressions are top notch and he can stay in character for extended periods of time (like his bit as Denzel Washington) which would put him in top echelon of comedians that have that skill set. That would put him in the companies of Dana Carvey, Aries Spears, and Jamie Foxx which is great company to have. This is one of the very few comedy specials in the past few years that made me LoL and required me to rewatch to catch all his jokes and impressions (I had to watch his Denzel bit several times). His joke writing, energy and comedic timing is very consistent and top notch throughout the special. Add on top his ability to stay in character and you have someone that has worked tirelessly to prove that he is a generational comedic talent. Well done Jared!

This is the first time I heard Jay Pharoah, I was rolling with laughter. So funny and such a great connection with his audience. I loved every second of this special. Too funny, thank you so much for the laughter. This year has been a really hard one for me because my husband of 47 yrs passed away. We have 2 grown children , a daughter who without her I don’t know how I would survive, and a son with significant disabilities. Ok that sounds really heavy but in reality my son gives me he such joy and laighter in my life. He can take my worst day and push me till he gets me to simply laughing right out loud. Niw this is a gift! that’s a gift, There isn’t enough laughter in this world and we do need to laugh. Please know my son doesn’t make ne laugh at him but he truly urges ne to laugh right out loud with him. Truly he gets me to do a full belly laugh to which he tunes right in to me to share in the fun. He joins me in the laughter. Jay you do the same thing, I so enjoyed laughing with your set. Really great stuff! Thank you.❤❤❤❤

What an amazing special! You create a perfect balance of funny, true, and speaking from the heart, Jay. Thank you. Heard your Fly on the Wall interview today and watched your special tonight. Your Tracey Morgan and Obama are spot on! The interview and the special are awesome (although Dana and David talked over you a lot)! I started watching the special, and my 16-year-old daughter walked in when you mentioned masturbation in the first five minutes! The same thing happened when I watched a Pete Davidson special. 🤦♀️🤣 I can’t wait to see what you do next!
