- J.B. Ball, an African-American comedian, embraces love for all as a guiding principle. Growing up in diverse communities, schools, and sports teams, he personifies the unity our country should strive for. In these polarized times, J.B.'s performance serves as both a hilarious and motivational reminder to tap into our best selves when interacting. His ability to speak a language understood by people from all backgrounds transforms political discussions into conversations about life itself. Audiences leave unharmed, yet enlightened and motivated, all while laughing their way through personal growth. From recounting childhood experiences with white friends aspiring to become the first Black President, to narrating a tale of saving a turtle from a gunman, J.B. addresses these obstacles with wit and levity. Filmed at The University of Tampa's brand new Charlene E. Gordon Theater, J.B. takes a daring step by presenting his unique perspective in a city and state that some may perceive as “part of the problem”. His intention is to demonstrate that his message, style, humor, delivery, and persona can be not only accepted but celebrated anywhere, challenging preconceived notions.

I’m a white man with a black ex-wife, a mixed son and a Filipino fiancé. I like comedy well it’s based on truth and nowadays it’s really hard to find somebody who talks about any racial issues and is 100% correct but this man did it I’ve lived in all black neighborhoods for many years, being the token white guy, so I know the truths from both sides. And you could tell this man just like he said, grew up in a mixed neighborhood because he knows the truth as well. We need more people like this that will stand up against racism so we could move forward together as a country as a People as the human race.

Great comedien with great timing, facial expressions and a perfect natural flow in his dialogue delivery, that let's you really get into every word he says so that you don't miss any jokes and it feels almost like a conversation he's having with you. The comedy is very original too, creative takes on things that he's found a new way to find funny. All the ingrediets for a successful guy we'll see alot more of in the future.
Thanks for speaking to how we're all humans and so we're much more alike than we are different; & there's nothing wrong with our differences, that may or may not have some kind of privilege associated with them. Our differences are what makes life & people infinitely interesting & unique. It's when people think THEY and ONLY they, are superior to others just because they believe, think, act, feel, speak or look differently than them that our differences are used to devalue, disempower, oppress, attack, penalize and/or ostracize people; (even though the difference is NOT harming them or anyone else & is not effecting their life in any way) that is SO WRONG, and hurts others for NO reason. That is what causes so much division, prejudicial thinking and eventually has led to wars. Celebrate our difference, it's good to call out vengeful, hate filled thinking & behavior wherever it's found & THAT is the only different thinking we should all reject.
J.B. Ball is a great bridge for different races to cross and understand each other, while having a good time.
