thanks man, it's actually same for me. when I saw this one the first time i was like "damn, one day I gotta be able to make videos like this too". Haha still no where close though 😂
So I have watched Watchtower of Turkey over a 100x maybe even more, and I know you analyze the video editing techniques but I don't know if you ever notice the next sequence relating to the next scene. For example, the moment the kid flaps his arms and the next shot goes to a bird shot and the color of the blue swing set to a blue cloth and so many more of them. it is truly a masterpiece of a video. Great analysis
it certainly is one masterpiece of a video. The 13 minute analysis of mine can certainly not even do it any justice! There would be sooo many more details we could look at that it would easily be worth making a 1.5 hour video on this right? Really glad you enjoyed my rough analysis anyway and very thankful for your support ❤️
You are godsend. I wanted to see some critiquing and discussion of tricks in this amazing editing job and you provided exactly that. You opened my eyes to some of the devices I didn't know about. Thanks bud.
Sick breakdown of a even sicker edit. And that from 2014! With the hyperlapses and extremely fast edits, that guy was ahead of time man. Thanks again Florian, keep up the Editor Reacts videos, absolutely love them. Cheers!

Thanks a lot, Danny! Already super excited with how it went so far. Hitting 10k was something i thought could be the goal for this year, but seems like we could be hitting that already much earlier. so currently all just bonus for me 😀 I'm actually thinking about making live a monthly live stream in which I review like 10-15 videos sent in by viewers, what do you think about an idea like this?

Mal wieder mega geworden! Du hast sicher schon was von Beautiful Destinations gehört.
Totally agree with your point at 2:58 Flo! Content is so much more authentic when native people are in the videos NOT creators with designer clothes on !
100% agreed! The only thing with that is that you need to overcome the shyness in actually asking so many people if they would be okay in being on camera and then actually be put on youtube. that's actually what would scare me away from this a little 😂
true! afterwards someone pointed me to a really great article of an interview with alessandro in which he explained exactly what gear he used and how he shot everything. drones really werent that big of a thing back then 😆
Thanks for giving professional hints and techniques on video making. As an older generation white haired dinosaur who started his amateur black and white photography profession in the early 1970's and a Turkish veteran professional tour guide, I only have 2 points to make which naturally escapes the the attention and comment of both the video maker and you as the editor. 1. Please rewatch 1.06-1.07. One of the boys is making the famous Turkish gesture of putting his thumb between his fingers saying FUCK! 2. The white haired gentleman with an impressive moustache is not a Turk. He is Mr. John Vincent Hurt, the British actor and his photograph is from his role in " Captain Corelli's Mandolin" as Dr. Iannis.
Another amazing video Florian! One slight thing that I noticed you made a mistake on is when you said that he used a drone for one of the shots. I read one of his interviews about the video and he mentions that he only used a GH3 with 3 lenses and a gopro 3. I mean how good and portable were the drones 4/5 years ago? :-)
That can totally be right. Then he must have been in a balloon as well I guess? Mostly I'm just making assumptions, probably making lots of mistakes in my explanation. It's literally just my thoughts in that moment 😜

7:10 The drone shot in cappadochia is not a drone shot its a baloon shot:) Its forbidden to fly drones there and maybe thats why there is timewarp used there because baloons fly so slow
11:50 The tipping point in the last section; the voice used there is Atatürk’s sound who is the founder of modern Turkish Republic and from a very famous Turkish Republic’s 10th year speech. that's awesome, my friend! props to youtube for doing a good job recommeding 😜 super cool, you're joining us here, a big welcome to the channel!! 👋😀
@@FlorianLand 👍😀
I gotta change my canon Eos 1100 d and cos in next months I gotta travel a lot! Which canon would u suggest me to buy to make cool video and not too much expensive??? I have a lot of canon lenses so I don't wanna change brand.
Mal wieder mega geworden! Du hast sicher schon was von Beautiful Destinations gehört.
danke man!
nice work bro love it!
Happy to hear that and thanks a lot for supporting 👊🙃
They said that Sam kolder imitate this guy?? Is that true?
Totally agree with your point at 2:58 Flo! Content is so much more authentic when native people are in the videos NOT creators with designer clothes on !
100% agreed! The only thing with that is that you need to overcome the shyness in actually asking so many people if they would be okay in being on camera and then actually be put on youtube. that's actually what would scare me away from this a little 😂
I heard there is not drone in this video, that aerials shot are just him in airballoon
true! afterwards someone pointed me to a really great article of an interview with alessandro in which he explained exactly what gear he used and how he shot everything. drones really werent that big of a thing back then 😆
Spot on! Pick one of Brandon Li’s next. 👌🏻
already in the making actually, look out for it some time soon 😜
Cool!!! Can’t wait! 😂
Im having goosebumps watching this
Like I had watching the watchtower video for the first 20 times haha 😂
Great job!!
Thanks a lot, Jon! Appreciate your support ❤️
Iannis.
the godfather of film editing
true words, man!! 🙌😎
thanks for the helpful walkthrough
glad that helped you out my friend! more to come 🙃
This is amazing..yoh
te guy who made this video is a phenomenon
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. so essential to review bro
how about making a watchtower of innsbruck 😍😍👍
@@FlorianLand kannst dann in 2 jahren reviewen✌😌
Another amazing video Florian! One slight thing that I noticed you made a mistake on is when you said that he used a drone for one of the shots. I read one of his interviews about the video and he mentions that he only used a GH3 with 3 lenses and a gopro 3. I mean how good and portable were the drones 4/5 years ago? :-)
That can totally be right. Then he must have been in a balloon as well I guess? Mostly I'm just making assumptions, probably making lots of mistakes in my explanation. It's literally just my thoughts in that moment 😜
@@FlorianLand I didn't mean anything in a bad way, just wanted to talk you man, hahaha! Keep up the great work!
haha all good, my friend. I didn't take it that way at all ❤️ really thankful for your support
That's Why i start the filmmaking! big loveeeeeeeeeeee
was a massive inspiration for me as well. thanks a lot for supporting 👋😀
How long coult take to edit the whole video? Weeks?
Very nice video wauw . Greets from Belgium
glad you liked it, my friend! happy you got to check it out. Greetings from Germany 👋😀
Awesome analysis, Florian!
Just moved to Auckland in New Zealand and I will do everything in my power to make a similar style video before I move away.
The style of editing is SO compelling
That's awesome Patrik! How about a watchtower of Auckland then 😜 can't wait to see and review it!
@@FlorianLand Hahaha, that would be something!!
You're still replying to every comment, I see. I'm impressed! - and also happy for your significant growth!
Haha I'll be waiting for it, man! 🤣 Oh yeah for sure, right now it's still manageable and I'll give my very best to keep it up as long as possible. Probably took me sth like 1,5 hours in total though today just replying haha it's slowly starting to get out of hand 😂 thanks a lot for saying that, man and really thankful for the support ❤️
Thank you! I learned alot!
happy to hear that and glad to share that with you 👋😃
Which camera did he use?

To think that this was 5 years ago!
Crazy, right? But even in 2029 it's still an incredible video. How much it must have blown everything out of the water back then already
Thank you bro

Amazing

Auf das habe ich gewartet :D
Haha extra für dich, Meister! 👊😎
Wonder how many transitions and camera tricks were inspired by this one 🤔
