So, this is a movie about a true story, but we all received this disciplined training for 1 year. Even though there were difficult aspects, we had many good memories. That's why the saying we have been saying since history is "Every Türk is Born a Soldier" 😊

I think the way the commander in this scene appears to be shouting at us is an intentionally chosen camera technique. As the commander walks towards the camera, shouting "if you sleep, everyone dies," while looking at the audience, he conveys this message to all members of society. He reminds us (Turkish people) that if we forget the important issues our country is grappling with and turn into apathetic people following trivial and meaningless trends, our nation will be in danger. It's a scene that really gives me goosebumps. Excellent acting, well-thought-out cinematography, and a valuable message for the audience. I'm glad you liked it too. I have watched many foreigners reacting to this video. Most of them are trying hard to cry or to look emotional, but you are trying hard not to cry. That's what I love. We are the same. Turks, Arabs, Iranians, Kurds etc. We all have very intense and strong emotions.

You got it wrong about training casualty. He don't say he would cover for them. He says he forgive for this time the one who slept but if any one of them sleeps again on watch, he would shoot him himself and put on notes that he was a training casualty.

That unit was attacked and most of those guys actually did die. But they didn't lose the post.

Technically, it's a film scene based on a real event. Intelligence has been received about a possible raid on a forward radio role outpost. The squad going to the post for combat support makes a simulated raid as if they were enemy soldiers and catches the soldiers on guard asleep. And then the captain gathers the soldiers to explain the extent of the danger and criticises the incident by giving examples. He gives them stern warnings on the assumption that if a sentry falls asleep, what will happen and everyone will be killed.

This scene is a part of movie, but it's real. Turkish soldiers must always be alert and careful. Rules are strict, mistakes are not easily forgiven.
That's the movie, named NEFES.
U got it wrong the ending. Commender says " I will shoot my self if any of you makes a mistake, report will gonna say 'its a training accident.' So it means no1 will ever know how he died. He is not trying to cover them. :D
If he actually shoot a soldier, most probably the military will investigate and find out what happened and he will end up in prison.
If you understand that scene you are a potential soldier also

There is somethink that you misunderstand, Commender do not say that ''I will write it like a training accident'' he says that because if one of the soldiers make the same mistake. He says he will kill him and report it the higher ups like, he died while training and it was a accident.
